  1. Hi all, have decided not to part with head. Some unexpected bills have come up. Short motors can go for $3500 FIRM - No offers No trades looking for quick sale. Can view CP piston motor as it is in car - can run on Dyno, perform Comp test, leak down etc...
  2. It was something i saw on a fellow members car (Stuart's R33GTR) and his rationale made sense. Apparently all his breathing issues resolved itself when the oil cap was tapped and turned into another 'breather' point. Idea is under G-forces, oil is pushed to back of motor. Having a hole at the front, helps the breathing for the motor and prevents oil getting pushed out from the back hope this makes sense
  3. Hey guys.... Happy Festive seasons !! im having to drive around some niggling problems at the moment...RPM is capped at 7,000rpm as there is a apparent ignition breakdown that needs to be addressed above this point and its also half throttle out of horseshoe, last turn and gears 5 and 6 to prevent breakdown. Looking at upgrading to some LS1 coils i have noticed that keeping it in the lower gear means the car enters the corner alot more eagerly vs the higher gear which settles the car and gives me a chance to process whats happening i will definately pencil down these pointers but figured i need to put together 11 turns and a clean lap before i start to push harder at certain points GOAL is for car to break 1:02s by August 2012 - all input greatly appreciated!!!! Plan is to increase revs to 8000rpm, increase stroke ,increase boost (currently low boost), reduce some more weight and sort out the suspension further!!

  18. Hi mate, Cool list of goodies! I would personally be looking at downsizing the turbo. Or if your Gtss are making over 400kw then i would be Using them! (most I got was 330kw with Nos) Unless you decide to v-cam the motor and run on better fuel, it would be a nugget with the 280 degree camshafts in terms of response around corners where you would be spending alot of time in second and third gear around EC. Driveline needs attention, my mate bent the flex plate on the same gearbox on day 1 of wtac this year which was a shame... He pushes 400kws. I would definately be looking at a rear diff as well for corner grip, front would be great but sump needs to come off. Dry Sump? I'm not at that point yet and my car is in the high 30s instead I have chosen to have a spare bottom end. It's probably inevitable..... but loggin all ur vitals eg oil/fuel pressures afr's and maintaining the motor helps. Now making your car turn and stop. Addressing suspension components so you can have full adjustment before going to a track helps and brakes will gain you as much time as outright power Hope I haven't put you off ...but these suggestions should see you have fun on any track, you just need to decide what events you want to partake in and choose what tyres u want to run! Cheers Steve
