  2. http://www.circuitclub.com.au/event/22 Awesome night by circuit club.... To say I have done EC in the pitch black under high beams with rabbits flying pass is a achievement I think. LOL GTR 1 EVO 0 (probably the only way is in the wet ) We put some heavier springs in the car to refine the suspension - couldnt really tell hey....... Thought she was turning alot better but really hard in the wet to gauge. Trackschool Dec 14th @ wakies !! Looking forward to some pb's if the weather permits
  3. Hi guys, Stroker motor is on its way, so i need to move this. i have two bottom ends i.e. Short motors, no sump/pumps/head 1. Currently running in car. 3 track days old. Making 400awkw. CP pistons, prepped rods, machined, balanced, arp studs, race bearings. $4.5kono 2. Trust Pistons (used) ,prepped rods, machined, balanced, arp studs, new race bearings and piston rings $4.5Kono (spare motor that i freshend up) Suit those who have done their bottom ends and need a rebuild or just wanting something alot more reliable. I will consider a trade as i would like a spare stock bottom end. Can help with a discounted rate of labour if in sydney. Cheers Steve

  7. Hi All, selling the above Specs PE Ti-R Full Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust. (Stainless-steel muffler bracket) 90mm (3.5") dia. piping 115mm (4.5") dia. single wall tip Identical to the following link previously sold on forums http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/363926-bnr34-trust-titanium-exhaust-system-cat-back/ Asking for $1300 Pickup (Syd prefered, but can post). **Please Note** there is a dent halfway up the exhuast from the car being too low and going over high speed hump. Its a dent the size of your palm that is superficial. Has no affect on the flow of the exhaust. Currently pumping over 400awkw. Cheers Steve
  8. The finished product lads!
  9. Brakes work well with good pads, the pads that came with the kit are no good for trackwork as it only lasted half a day @ EC. ive now got project mu's in them and they rock!
  10. The finshed product lads!!!
  11. What a weekend - Didnt sleep between day 1 and 2 bc of a overheating issue. Realised this only when we intoduced revs and more power to the car for the event and it then went backwards. Had to pull the car in as soon as i hit the back straight on my hot lap as temps were peakin. Took the car to the workshop and did two headgasket changes in the one night. The first gasket supplied was the wrong size Thanks to Bozz for a fine steer under very strict conditions (you have 3 laps good luck - 1:39.3680) as we set the car up into LIMP mode, where it would cough, splutter etc to prevent any damage to the motor if the vitals were upset (thanks HALTECH) The car felt slower then the 340awkw that we were practicing in very excited about the future of this car and thanks to everyone who helped over the weekend!!!
  12. No Probs whatsoever brother !!! i have been put in charge of eye candy for 2011 WTAC!!!! i think i went overboard http://www.modelmayhem.com/1684236 http://www.modelmayhem.com/1899557 http://www.modelmayhem.com/2249501 http://www.modelmayhem.com/2033114 http://www.modelmayhem.com/2180959 http://www.modelmayhem.com/2246821
  13. This rumour is true, he runs Trackschool out there now and had a session in my car. The only thing ugly was my driving and the fact he was cruising and i was giving 110% and was still not keeping up
  14. Thanks guys It's snowing in Bowral
  15. EC doesnt look to good - will you be out there testing? Will E85 be part of the equation soon? If so, SCORCH watch out
  16. Nice to meet you out there mate! My footage has your beast pulling away from the GTR on the straights
  17. A nugget she has been! Been a long time coming and i have decided to take a different approach to the old girl. The emotional rolercoaster that you go through trying to meet deadlines and the pressure that everyone is under is just not worth it! Although it would of been ideal to have a couple of months testing under the belt for WTAC it has come down to less then the amount of fingers you can count on one hand. I really appriciate the effort the lads make at http://www.the-lowdown.com/ Some pics trackside this day primarily was to put back the intercooler hose that blew off after each session (arghhhhh) and run in the new motor which was tuned the night before by Haltech ( I cant speak highly enough of the customer service and the extra effort these guys put in) and to make sure that the car behaved to our expectations. It made comfortable 400awkw at 22psi on E-flex (internal map sensor limit) but bc i had misplaced the 3 bar map sensor the tuning stopped here. Further testing last thurs, saw me have the biggest grin as things are slowly progressing. i had set a pb at wakefield which i was stoked about but what was really impressive was it was done on a detuned 340awkw, off the trailor with less then 10 degrees ambient temps on shagged 265 semi's . i was about a second of the pace by a certain someone that now runs Trackschool a couple of 1:04s held up shows that i will need to pull up my socks come game day! Cant wait to try the new 295 Hancooks z221'a, play around with suspension, put diffusers on and set some more PB's and take it to those bloody EMO's
  18. Have got alot of questions about the box - did a quick search and a couple of comments from some hardcore Sauer's popped up This is the non standard option with closer ratio's
  19. Hi Everyone, deciding to sell this box to free up some $$$$$. This gearbox came with my r33 Gtr that i imported last year. Unfortunately the 5th gear cluster sheered itself as it wasn't designed for top speed 5th gear action at eastern creek I quickly put in a os gearset as remaking the cluster needed 6-8weeks by the engineer, I noticed the Os gearset was lazier as the ratios were not as close and the gearshifts were certainly not as smooth as the yokohama box as it uses the double cone syncros. Box is completely overhauled and cluster remade by AWARD diff and gear. Can arrange to contact them if genuinley interested as gearbox is there and ready for dispatch. my intial problem http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/317503-help-required-to-replicate-a-cluster-shaft/ Costs a mint http://www.ag-y.com/690mission.htm $4600 Cheers Steve
  20. Awesome work!! Must be a great feeling to have so much kw's rushing through the blood any plans for the box? Is it 3rd gear that u start to annihilate everyone or u actually get into fourth?? Lol
  21. Hi guys, just trying to get as much info as possible on the Hancook z221s. I have noticed that times are getting slashed by those who are using these and they are now the tire of choice in japanese time attack (hence why i got a set to compensate for my driving abilities ) Is it a better compound? or the fact that they are just wider? i have two examples where an Evo that previously went 41's aound EC on 265's Ao50's ran a pb at the latest round of sprints dipping into the 39's on 295 Z221s and the other being a FD in SA going 3 secs quicker throughout the day when switching from Dunlops Dz03's in the first session EVO - P2 http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results.cgi?26/02/2011.EAST.S1 FD - P2 http://www.orion-timing.com/1028/20110306/1028_20110306_001_03_01.htm i guess some useful pointers would be what pressures some people run on there particular tires. My experiences with advans that yielded the best times are A050's - 34psi cold 36 hot Ad08s - 32psi cold 34 hot i was suppose to try out my set last saturday at the sau/renew track day but time got the better of me with getting the car ready. I will definately post up some results as soon as i get out there Steve
  22. I dont think this event is CAMS affiliated? correct me if im wrong - so would there be cams scrutineers out on patrol?? Is there a particular part of the cage that concerns you? I guess being a bolt in cage it can always be removed trackside worst case scenario and therefore satisfy the first part of sentence Roll Cage • Vehicles are not required to be fitted with a roll cage, however it is recommended. If a roll cage is fitted it must comply with Schedule J of Cams General Requirements for Cars and Drivers, in the Cams Manual for Motorsport. Not something im really worrying to much about at the moment as i dont particapate in Cams events and WTAC was pretty laid back with scrutineering last year. Car Update: FKN took 8 hours to come up with a solution for the rubbing of the plenum with the clutch slave cylinder yesterday - Anyway i have penciled in a tune for this Thurs - so i will be cutting it very very fine as there is still a huge to-do-list Some truck-sized rubber also turned up
