Hi guys, I have bought and stored the following parts for a while now and realised that i probably wont be needing it. Bought it off the infamous BU5TER. The above head flowed 450RWKW nicely through an auto box. cam covers included. Sorry no flow test have been conducted. Manifold has also been cermaic coated and includes a dump pipe to suit gtst. It is V-band, however HKS make a adaptor plate to use with T04 based turbos Plenum is a work of art - just check out greenline to see the current price then add freight. Hypertune base theres off this. Also the Billet throttle body is to match this - dont ask me what diameter it is either b/c i have never measured it. Prices are as above please pm any serious request - unfortunately items are in DEEP storage in the garage and a simple pic is not possible unless i get some serious interest. Items are located in syd. Cheers Steve

Hi Boz, thanks for the info! ideal conditions would tempt me to wind in more boost Cheers Steve ps still waiting for the email!

Hey Jack, thanks mate! 285/30/18 Yoko Neova Ad08 - probably going to be the tyre of choice i reckon for clubsprint! Camber was 2.5 degrees - looking at the wear on the tyres - could prob go a little more aggresive Anyway, off topic - put a new set of Ferodo 3000 for the front - what are your thoughts on this? the thing stopped okay - but realised half the pad is now gone and not much of my rotor left! I heard the thing was harsh but didnt expect it to be this bad. Have unknown pads in it previously and the thing pulled up has a quarter pad left and lasted 3 meets wtf? evil_weevil - the whole circuit thing is pretty new to me. Concentrating on Superlap for now because trying to find time off is the big challange and to remain married as well definately be on the agenda when i can manage to reduce my 60 hour week to 38!

Thanks Duncan and co for the input - these settings worked a treat today on the track! You are a GURU Besides the tyres not liking more then 2-3 laps SUPERLAP CLUBSPRINT CLASS AGO GO GO!! There is alot to say about my driving - but i wish to close the gap over the next couple of months Now i know the car can go 1:45s (unofficially) Thanks Boz! A good driver is a couple of secs off a pro So what time will i run if im just average??
-
Now im confused - from the assigned 5 sessions - surely a couple of these would be practice and surely on the Fri? or maybe 1 session per day? http://www.superlap.com.au/2009/?p=2278

Thats a tonne of info to digest the only quesiton i have, is that this wednesday i'm due to go out to EC. With Sydney getting drenched with rain and the possiblity of it raining on this day is very high as well. Are there any wet weather tips i should consider? I will definately keep you all informed! Cheers Steve "pressure...what tyres? assuming falken rsr or kumho ku36 or similar I would run about 40psi hot and check how it feels. Yes it is very high but it really helps in hard tyres, especially for only a few laps." Speaking to Gordon Leven race tyres, he told me optimum pressure on the Ad08 are 36psi HOT. I will gauge this throughout the day and have a play around as well

Hi Duncan, sorry i cant answer accurately your request but i would like to thank you in advance, not everyday you have a seasoned racer comment what tyres will you be running on? 285/30/18 yoko neova ad08 what does the car weigh? ~1500kg what power does it make? 320awkw what size sway bars front and rear? not sure what spring rates front and rear? the suspension i have, have a standard spring rate at F8.8R8.8 although i am not sure because it looks likes the springs have been changed what's the purpose, superlap or an enduro race? hopefully superlap Cheers Steve

Thanks champ! Dam, imagine the whiplash you will be getting with the new Alcon setup Dam you know your JDM parts well, yes they are Top Secret Te37 18x10.5 +15 and the car is registered to drive on the street

Maybe if you could copy, fill in your details and enjoy Car: Power: Lap time: Tyre and Pressure: Front Settings: Camber: Toe: Castor : Rear Settings: Rear: Camber: Toe: From speaking to others on the forums - because i will not be running a r-compound tyre, i should ease up on the front camber as the tyres wont like it. My biggest problem is i have no idea what all the settings really mean. The local alignment fellows set the car up for wakefield last time out, so obviously when going to EC, changes need to be made because its a totally different track. I have seen some info online but find it too rich to read when it explains the terms. My level of experience at the moment is that the only honest results i can interpret from the car is that if it has a tough time turning into corners (understeer) or when the tail end is a little skaty. Once all the other terms are used or spoken about - its a totally different language. Cheers Steve

Hi guys, just wondering what i would need to consider in terms of setting the susp for EC? This suggestion was made - would you or wouldnt you? what other info is vital to help? Front Camber 2.7-3 degrees Toe -1.5 each side Castor 7 degrees Rear Camber 1.8-2 Toe 0 Not to sure what the above will acheive, i just drive the thing

I have made a real tough decision in not to participate this evening i will be a EC throughout the day instead and cannot come up with the mula to be a part of this I will probably stick around to check it out

Widest Tyre On R33 Gtr?
HKS26T replied to HKS26T's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
rim size is 10.5 inch this is a very valid point you are making - can anyone else comment on this - it is $600 more for the wider tread as well on the NEOVA web site - it states - Steel sidewall inserts to increase casing rigidity im thinking more width more grip -
Was looking for some ideas and came across this beast! Where did you get the bonnet from? Why are you selling your brake setup? or they are sold already? This is mine on the track

Widest Tyre On R33 Gtr?
HKS26T replied to HKS26T's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The EC time and 1/4 mile was from a previous car - the car that i have now has more power, better handling and better brakes. (But still the same mofo driver LOL) This is not official but one of the Evo's did a 1:45.9xx recently so this is all i have to go off - good to know a pro driver did 1:45 in a r35. I have laid down a benchmark time of 1:47 on streets tyres - (to make it worth while going into clubsprint class). Otherwise they will be coming off and the traditional r-compound tyre will go on Hmmmmm pyrometer? will a cupucino temp gauge work LOL -
Widest Tyre On R33 Gtr?
HKS26T replied to HKS26T's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks Jack! I guess the positive is that there is no Boz in a s2000 in this class Nothing beats track experience, and not many are kind enough to share this info - there is definately lots of practice on the agenda - as i know of a couple of Evos lapping in the mid 1:40's at EC. I will make a decision with respect to tyres on Wed 17th when i go out there - i will use the Ad08 285/30/18 with not too much camber and see what she is doing out there (do you normally run higher pressure for street slicks? i was running 34psi when hot on the re55s - thinking of 38psi??) Otherwise, E85 and open class here we come -
Widest Tyre On R33 Gtr?
HKS26T replied to HKS26T's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
This is exactly what im after ! Were there any other adjustments required when running the Bridgestone RE-01R's ? what tyre pressure were you running? anything you could have or not done better? - this means you were only a couple of sec off the s2k with boz driving it?? Awesome effort for first time on track! Are you coming up this year? I have just ran 255/17s in re55s and had no pobs with the balance of the car - i just know when i go street tyres im going to have a uphill task! Cheers Steve -
Widest Tyre On R33 Gtr?
HKS26T replied to HKS26T's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The primary objective is to obtain maximum grip on the track. I will be testing my GTR on yoko AD08 to see how i will stack up in the "Evo vs R35" cup aka Clubsprint Superlap I will not quite declare a 600hp GTR helpless yet until i go out there and see for myself. Clearance issues was what i am concerned about - its good to hear that when raised there is no clearance issues. My real concern is when i start running neg 3-4 degrees camber on the front and normally i run quite a low ride height assist in turning. The options are 265/35/18s vs 285/30/18 (Yes it will be more expensive) but it will be well worth if it can grip better on turn 1 @ EC i am currently running stretched 265s on a 10.5 inch rim. JAG could you please elaborate on no real difference? (i'm aware on r compound tyres but not quite sure on street slicks - is wider better?) Cheers Steve -
would i come across probs with these on a 33 gtr ? any real life experiences? Cheers Steve

Circuit Club Wakefield Park On Australia Day Jan 26th
HKS26T replied to HKS26T's topic in Events Archive
Hey Patrick! Had a little chat with the mechanic today and he did mentioned you were interested in some mods LOL He definately is against a bigger turbo! (for now ) If you speak to him he would be able to make some suggestions, what the others are saying are definately the right path to head down. Just remember, there is always more then one way to skin a cat! - Although he did say that the car will definately be ready for EC -
8:15 pm and i could still see the horizon from my balcony! Bring on EC
