  1. If assuming that Dyno Dynamics use SAE J1349 reference conditions, the reference temperature is 25C. If your IT was 40C, the correction would be roughly +3%. Conversly if the IT was 10C, the correction would be -3%.
  2. Nope. Its available in Adelaide? OoooOoOoOooo.... who wants to be a test MULE!
  3. Yep by putting in the E10 it should be still quite safe. But to get the most out of it, you may have to up the ignition timing 1 or 2 degrees. Changing the fuel injector correction (ie from 50 to 51% if using 740cc injectors) should be enough to offset the changes in AFR. A dodgy way to permanantly increase the ignition timing is to advance the CAS 1 or 2 degrees if you have a timing gun.
  4. From my experience with a wideband, the AFRs moved about ~0.3-0.4 leaner using E10. E5 would be half of this.
  5. Dean man. Don't waste your time with the manifold. As you can see Nightcrawer and I thought it wasn't worth it. The only good thing was that they made the engine note sound nicer. The power quotes are bullshit by GKTech. He has no proof to back his claims. You might gain maybe 5rwkw, at the expensive of turbo response which was my experience. Not worth it man! As you can see the stock manifold isn't a restriction yet! If you want to get a manifold, the Tomei Expreme one is a good one. But even then with their own dyno graphs it looks like you only gain like 10hp on a worked motor! http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003web-catalogu...anifold_en.html Oh yeah the 044 is a quieter pump. Funny on the Dyno Day it was whinning to all hell but usually its silent. Depends on how hot the day is. But my old 040 was still louder.
  6. As always, I suggest you go to the Group Buy section and take a look at the Bilstein/Whiteline setup that SK offers. You'd have to be spending a fair amount more money to get something better than SK's setup.
  7. Interesting findings Cubes. Anyways I reckon the AFMs are calibrated with the mesh screens there so they should stay there. If you are gaining power by removing them then the AFM is already too small anyway!
  8. Yeah man hurry up and mod the hell out of that S15!!
  9. So.. you're saying this mighty magic mesh is a one way diode sorta thing eh? heheh...
  10. A 15c/L is a HUGE premium over Optimax. Its disgusting really. They sure know how to take your money. But lucky the price of petrol has dropped recently.
  11. Try #2, then if that fails, then #1. You shouldn't really notice a loss of power with that gap.
  12. Keep the mesh. Enhances resale value. lol.
  13. Just stick with the 5W30 in summer. There's no real need to go thicker as the oil temps will still roughly be the same when its the motor is hot anyway (as the coolant indirectly will remove the heat).
  14. I'd go the HKS 2835/3037S Pro S because its internally gated which means less mess. Also the 100mm front housings are meant to be better on the 3037. I think with gtst25's statement, its really the compressor thats holding back the turbo from making much more power. Time to step up to the 3037.
  15. The Boost98 is cheaper because its a 96RON fuel + 10% ethanol to give you a RON of 98. Also this friction modification technology sounds like a marketing gimmick.
  16. Its a shame Chops's VY wasn't in the vid. It sounded awesome. Shaun hit the limiter a couple of times too lol.
  17. I don't. I change at 10,000km. But your interval depends on the oil you are using, how hard you drive your car, what kind of air filter you use and how rich your car runs. 5,000km is a safe bet for most cars but sometimes overkill for others.
  18. Hey man nice compilation. Well done! PS you shoulda just stuck my last run on there instead of all 4 lol. Cubes, can't recall the AT/IT as the sheet is at home. I think the IT was mid 30s but yeah it was pretty hot in there.. Shaun musta been frying!
  19. I had a bad dry/sore throat after those 2 small cars ran (the Laser and Charade) when I was in the workshop... and it seems pretty coincidental that now I've lost my voice? lol.
  20. lol I didn't imply that. Just that the last one was very cool indeed with some nice people and plenty of nice RB action! Oh yeah, I thought we were gonna see some 300rwkw+ monsters that day? What happened to the VL-Ts?
  21. So.. whens the next dyno day? lol. They're good fun!
  22. Yeah nice dyno day guys! Good to see the SAUers out and about again. Can't wait for the next one, they're always good fun!
  23. Well to go lower whilst retaining some sort of decent suspension travel travel, sell the Super Streets and go the Flex. Or... SK's GB which has the circlips for adjustable height too.
  24. SIKK 34 WILD 34 ROFL 34 CRZI 34 MADD 34 NUTZ 34 LOLZ 34 OWND 34 OK rofl... BB plates ftw.
  25. Nah the SR20 will have such a hard time in a heavy body, especially if you get the old S13 Red top with no NVCS (variable valve timing) which'll make off boost torque even worse. The good thing is that aftermarket parts are everywhere, but I'd still take the RB25 anyday. Hell I'd love to try a RB25 in my S chassis!!
