  1. Yeah your EBC is not doing its job of holding the boost. I wouldnt say the actuator is stuffed beacuse its still holding 14psi at 6500rpm (my old stock turbo'd S14 could only hold 11.5psi by then lol) I wouldn't worry about another 10rwkw. Thats only what.. a bit more than 5%? Thats nothing, so long as your happy with the car!
  2. That bus is nuts. Actually I thuoght he did a good job controlling that back end. It coulda been far worse....
  3. Wtf does Steve Irwin have to do with burnouts.
  4. Syntrans, not Syntax would be more suitable. About $20/bottle. In Redlines range, MT90 would be more suitable than the Gear 75W90. Also Motul Gear 300 would be another contender.
  5. Its probaby residue from when the breather from the rocker cover was there in the past..
  6. Have you checked your turbo for shaft play? Its probably not the turbo thats causing you to be down on power. Your exhaust might be a lil restrictive, tune not agressive enough, boost leaks etc.
  7. Spotted a wannabe GTR today. A Ford XE Falcon with a R33 GTR Wing. The wing was worth more than the car I think!
  8. Fking sweet news. So latest is we'll get them mid next week...
  9. I think where branded ones can potentially do better is the noise. Because most jap makers tailor each exhaust to each model, you could say the exhaust is optimised for each car in terms of noise. But there is simply no reason why a local can't do as good of a job. The question is, who and for how much, considering Jap cat backs are much more affordable now.
  10. Nope. Why would you want even thicker oil in colder months, when the oil is thicker than in summer at startup already!
  11. Soley depends on what car is being used and the % of ethanol in the petrol blend..
  12. I'd be expecting to pay for 2 hours labour, ie $200. Obviously enthusiasts like us can do it quicker but hey its a workshop, they have a ciggy every time they loosen a nut.
  13. Yep probably the fact that its not on level ground. Also from sitting overnight, the oil level would be at its highest on the dipstick, not a hot shutdown.
  14. You can't really compare the Pilot Sport to the Sumitomos. The Michelins would be at least double, if not triple the price!
  15. I'm not sure. Anyone know if its street registered? Either way I'm very sure the Mine's R34 Demo Car sets the benchmark when it comes to R34s on the track (Fatest tsukuba time of 57.7?). The Z tune is a few seconds off but I dont remember the figures of the top of my head.
  16. I don't even think the Mines' "Ultimate Response Machine" is even a street car really. Its a track whore I believe.
  17. Well it depends on the setup eg manifold design and what the target boost pressure is. However here's a nice example of a HKS GT3037 (aka GT30R with a custom T25 flanged housing) with a 0.87 housing on an S14; So I naturally would have thought the response would have been better on the RB25? You can read more about that chart I posted up here; http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=185086 (One thing to note is I am not sure if the 0.87 in the HKS T25 flanged is the same as the 0.87 in the GT T3 housings, even with the same turbine...) Sorry for going OT but yeah, interested in how the GT30R works with the NEO.
  18. I'm quite suprised the GT30 didnt fair to well in terms of response? Usually you can get max boost at a tad over 4000rpm on an SR so surely it would have been better on a NEO?
  19. Damn that thing would be nuts. But do you really need that much power for drifting? Nice to see there was plenty of room.
  20. Hold on, is this on the 7th Oct or 30th Sept? The first post and the thread's title say 2 different things.
  21. Most places charge in between $25- $40 per injector.
  22. Sweet so they've been sent? Yahoooooo
  23. AAA are no doubt one of the best in Adelaide. With their own mandrel bending machine, they make their cat backs 1 piece. They are great blokes to deal with.
  24. Yep no higher than 15, then there is no need to worry!!
  25. I wouldn't worry about what it says on setup. It is not an indication of if your motor pings. Only on monitor. FWIW I had readings at about 120 on setup. It means nothing, its only 'noise'.
