  1. Thats a pretty nice torque curve you got there... holds it all the way to redline!! (Btw its the top curve, power is at the bottom)
  2. Dont bother setting any low throttle mapping on the SAFC. The ECU simply relearns around it to maintain the stoich AFRs. Trust me i've tried... You can even wind in 30% richer at a cruising rpm and within 10 seconds its back to stoich AFR by looking at the o2 output... I reckon you should get your injectors etc checked out first. Just leave the low thr map empty.
  3. Get the NGK BKR7E. I have a set of them in my car. Very good plugs! NGK Tech said they are a better choice than the BCPR7s because of the V-grooved electrode and also more suited to Nissan heads (something about grounding). Tho the BCPR are still not bad... The BKRs same price as the BCPRs aswell... And stay away from the bosch plugs. Stick with NGK. They make the best plugs in the world..
  4. The higher the concentration of glycol in the system, the lower the heat transfer capability of the coolant. So if anything you would want to _reduce_ the coolant concentration to ~30%. No less than 20% howeever. But in either case, it wont have really any real effect on turbo temps on the street. Alot of ppl get confused and think the glycol (the green shit) in coolant does the cooling in the engine. On the contrary it actually impedes it slightly (compared to straight water) but offers antifreeze/boil protection aswell as caviation/corrosion protection.
  5. I generally believe that noone should use oil suppliments unless its a last resort sorta thing. Oil is carefully formulated to do its job. Adding other stuff to it can ruin this balance. PTFE might have some value in a gearbox, but I definitely would not try using the stuff in an engine. No direct metal to metal contact should occur in an engine, or a gearbox for that matter. If that was the case, a gearbox would sieze up pretty quick. Try running a box w/o oil and see what happens! hahah Btw Lucas Oil Stabiliser is just a thickener and shouldnt be used unless your gearbox is stuffed or something. Its been proven to cause excess foaming which is no good for lubricating gears..
  6. Actually I thought the GTR has turbos very similar T28s from the SR20DET, just with a much smaller exhaust housing and perhaps different compressors. Dont quote me on this tho...
  7. Its quite common for boost to drop off within the last 1000 or so rpm by a pound or two. Its a common characteristic of bleeders and the factory boost control. An EBC will fix that...
  8. It really depends on what future plans you have for your car. If your just gonna get a full exhaust later and maybe a tad more boost than a SAFC will serve you very well. If your planning on getting a bigger turbo etc later on, then get a PFC first.

Hahah thats the dumbest thing ive seen in a while! hahah
  10. Hey man how much did it cost ya all up? Looks good!!
  11. Never heard anything about this! Man what a shame... I'd be pissed if my car was there gettin worked on and all the stuff got rolled.. Imagine this in the FS Section; "Some Big Dyno FS; Be Quick!"
  12. The increased rev limit should be fine, but I dont recommend holding the car on the rev limiter for any period of time (like during burnouts) as there is a possibility you may get valve bounce >7500rpm.
  13. Its not just oils changes that are ripoffs. Most things in life are these days... Expect to pay about 60 bux for a good quality oil.
  14. Hahah yeah was funny hey 9krpm! Just crooozin down the strip It would be a real hassle if they say next time u have to get a roll bar... Btw all those videos that Nightcrawler have up show me getting really blitzed off the line. Argh embarrasing =( Ptty none of my good runs were against him!
  15. When me and Nightcrawler spoke to one of the organisers of the events about the shit track conditions he didnt seem to inclined to do anything about it. And yeah the track was slippery as all hell (everyone was having horrendous axle tramping), and coupled with my dodgy launch techniques and shithouse tires I couldnt manage a better 60ft than 2.27. Im still quite happy with a 13.41 tho. Ah well. Im sure eveyrones times will improve greatly if they prep the track even just a bit in the future. Well done to Nightcrawler too. Hot damn, netting a 12 on his normal street tires aswell..
  16. I'll see everyone there. I dont know wtf the ns.com guys are organising atm so I'll probably just sit on the grass near Nightcrawler! Goodluck everyone tonight! Yo 9krpm, what time you gettin there?
  17. I'd get a laptop programmable ECU if I was going aftermarket. Nothin beats muckin with the ECU with a laptop on the passenger seat 2F2F style! LOL
  18. I thought they didnt test your car at WOT? If they did I dont think the AFRs would matter much. I mean, bone stock turbo cars go upto 10:1. So I reckon just leave it as is...
  19. Yeah chalk me up for a cruise, if nothing is going down on Ns.com Hope it doesnt rain this upcoming wednesday either!
  20. Plumb it in between the wastegate hose and another leading to the intercooling piping. It would be best to block off teh factory boost solenoid completely.
  21. Ball bearing is of newer design. Better spool up and turbo response. Go to www.nissansilvia.com for more info about turbos for the SR20!
  22. I didnt think RB25 turbos were _that_ cheap...
  23. Shit thats damn cheap. Anyone really willing to get one? I might just for comparitive purposes when mucking with the car (not for absolute 'track' times)
  24. Yeah I went to a Super Cheap and asked for a particular NGK spark plug. They had no idea and pointed me in the directino of where they keep em. They didnt have it, I asked, and they said they cant get it in.. and they didnt even bother to look in a book or ring a supplier. Faggots...
  25. I'd rather pull off the intake manifold and clean it by hand. I wouldnt want all the shit to stick on the back of the valves and in the motor itself...
