I'm looking to purchase some front splits for my '97 r33 series 2, should I get 5.25" or 6.5" for the front? Will be looking at purchasing the mbquart qsd216 6.5 or the 5.25" if they 6.5" wont fit in off ebay USA It says the mounting depth for the 6.5" is 63.5mm http://www.mbquart.com/all/downloads/einbaumasse/q_216.pdf I also have a pair of boston z6 6.5" splits to install too, I will be probably putting these as the rear speakers because the crossovers are very big and I dont know where to put them. Will this be a good idea? Or should i just install the bostons in the front and the mbquarts in the rear? Speakers will be running of a pheonix gold titanium 500.4 75watt 4channel amp. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

I recently puchased a '97 skyline r33 GTST. I was turing on the aircon through the auto button and everytime the fan blows on the maximum 4th speed no matter what temp its on, is it suppot to do this? What speed should it run on if its on 18degrees or if its on 32degrees? Cos it seems the same as me

I want to install an amp in my '97 r33, where do you connect the cables? In the boot where the battery is kept or in the bonet where the + - terminals are? Cheers!

How do you guys install your amps and wiring, do you remove the negative terminal or positive terminal, or both? Personally, I just remove the negative terminal and never have any problems with installs

What type of fuel do you guys recommend for a 1997 skyline r33 series II? I usually use the unleaded from caltex and sometimes the one from safeway unleaded.

Im interested in buying a indash 7" dvd player for my car with gps from USA ebay. I know that they come with USA maps, anyone know if its possible to load Australian maps on it or know where to get them from? What are those maps called anyone know? Does the map load from the cd slot or from the memory somehow? how does it work, any help appreciated.

my r33 is a series II, but no keyless entry

Hi all, I just recently purchased a 1997 skyline r33 it had no alarm or immboliser, i am purchasing the mongoose m80G alarm, I want the doors to open with the alarm remote. Currently I am using the keys to open and close the doors - just wondering if anyone knows, will i also need to buy a central locking kit to make the alarm remote open the doors automatically or will the mongoose alarm open the doors automatically with the remote alarm? thanks

anyone know what the light reduce button does in an r33? The one next to the dink holder near the gearstick, i have turned it on and off but it doesnt seem to do anything?

Just wondering, in an r33, the oil pressure gauge on the far right in the dash, it reads 0/4/8 (kg/cm2) Is it a bad thing if it reaches near the 8th line? Cos mine comes close to it when i rev up the engine and when i take my foot off the accelerator, it drops back to the middle on 4.

I tried to take off the passenger side door but i couldnt get the part off where off where the powerwindow button - that whole handle, it was just stuck

Anyone know how to take out the front and back speakers in an skyline r33 1997 model or where i can get a guide from? For the front speakers do you just pop out the grill or the whole door frame needs to come off? cheers !

I have purchased a 1997 Skyline R33 and found out when you put the car in reverse that annoying beeps come on and if you leave the keys in the car when the car is turned off, is there anyway to disable those beeps? Cos its very annoying !!
