  1. You could make them fit by buying a lower sized wheel? Lol 20" is just TOO big in my opinion. Good luck fitting, I got no other suggestions.
  2. Ohk awesome man! Looks great, hope to see you around. You work at the RAAF hey...?
  3. Yeah I've seen that grey one parked out on the street a few times. Looks quite nice I like it. What are you doing at tafe anyway? Wait I'll send you a PM, got a few questions
  4. Lol... they're not exactly 'drift stripes' though are they. Not my taste for a skyline but at least it's done properly. And yeah what's with the headlight covers? They have to go man.
  5. After reading all this good feedback on sway bars I'm thinking this will definitely have to be my next mod. I have an R32 4dr. What are some of the better brands and what is around a reasonable price to pay for some (front and rear). I run TEIN Coilovers already. Thanks alot. -Jimmy.
  6. The thing on the right? Could be a tool for the immobiliser/alarm unit.
  7. Got pics? Also are they Federals? As I stated before, Federal seem to be very generous in their rim protectors versus other brands. Also your tyre being the 235 might compensate for being the lower profile.
  8. Front. 17x8 +37, effectively +12 with the 25mm spacer. 215/40R17 Federal SS595 tyre. Rear. 17x9 +37, no spacer but plans to go 10-15mm. 225/45R17 Federal SS595 tyre.
  9. They aren't ridiculously skinny, and it wasn't entirely for looks, it was so it wouldn't scrub the guard. I'm convinced it doesn't look as bad as i thought now -Jimmy.
  10. Went back today. Basically the guy told me that Federal are very generous on giving the extra lip protection and blah blah, he knew I didn't like it because of the cosmetic purposes but yeah oh well. He says it's a good thing. I'm sure it is, I'll just have to get over it lol.
  11. Ok well as I said I'll see what I can do tomorrow, but most likely I won't be able to exchange it so I'll just have to live with what I got. I will get used to it. Thanks for your input.
  12. Well I was originally going to go the lower size (205) instead of profile, but I had someone say to me that it's the profile that will increase/decrease stretch etc. +37 is the offset of the rims. I think I read somewhere that these particular tyres have a fair amount of lip clearance or whatever, but oh well. Might suss out going the 45 then. More money to spend that I don't have. Do you think I should risk asking for the 205/45 or just stay safe and go the 215/45 which I used to have.
  13. Yeah I'm thinking about going back Monday afternoon and asking whats the go with it. It's worth a try at least.
  14. Is that the one with the Gold Mesh rims?
  15. Hey mate. Seen your car around, had a little look in the Tafe carpark one time. Looks nice, any plans?
  16. Yay, I got spotted I try to park next to you whenever I can (assuming you're the White R34 coupe there?) Parked next to you on Friday too.
  17. Hey guys. Well I don't have much experience when it comes to tyres. All mine have been cheapish until I could afford something decent so I chose to go with the Federal SS595's all round. Before I say anything about the fitment, the SS595's grip really well and I am really satisfied with them. My rims are 17x8 on the front and 17x9 on the rear. I used to run a 215/45R17 on the fronts, but after bolting on 25mm spacers I wanted to gain a bit of stretch in the tyre to reduce scrubbing on the guard. I stayed the same on the rear, running 225/45's, and I am happy with the way they turned out with the Federals. I had a friend (with experience) suggest me go a profile lower to the 215/40 on the front, so I did. These are the results. The tyre does not look good at all and you can't even compare the look to the rear. Does anybody know why this is? And can anybody suggest a solution (perhaps a better fitting tyre size) to go on the 17x8? If anybody has a decent solution I'm willing to go back to the place and possibly ask to swap the tyres (even if I have to pay a bit more). I have probably only done about 20km max on them so far. Front Rear Front & Rear Thanks in advance, -Jimmy.
  18. Suspension is a cusco front strut brace, and TEIN Super-street coilovers. The coilovers were the best thing I did. And then I am running the GTS-t brakes and R200 diff aswell (apparently it was shimmed from the previous owner). Luke - Your R34 is NA? That is one tuff NA 4dr. Love it.
  19. Yeah it was kinda introduced half way throughout the day. We were told we'd need one for the afternoon but not the slalom. But there are trees and concrete barriers (which never used to be there) at the end of the slalom course now so I guess he wanted to be safe than sorry Major fun though. Loved the whole day.
  20. Well in the first half of the day, you didn't have to for the 'slower' layout, but you did have to for the slalom or 'manji' course at the other end, and they were running simultaneously so I decided to wear it most of the time. And it was compulsary for the faster layout in the afternoon anyway. Doesn't bother me that much though, it is annoying and a bit hot sometimes but yeah you forget about it when you're drifting cos it's just so much fun!
  21. Hey mate, I'm drifting my RB25DE R32. Have had it dyno'd with a Blitz Pod and HKS Priest Catback, making 115rwkw. Pretty happy with that, no major mods and it's the non-VCT motor too. First drift day I went to was Oran Park on Australia Day and I met Cris there in the silver R32 with RB25DE. Gave me a few tips and by the end of the day I was linking the circuit. Then on Sunday (8th March) just went to a Skidpan day held by ProjectD, and it was a GREAT day. Definitely improving my skills. Loving the NA, I plan to drift a lot more with this car NA down the track. Make sure to hit the HQ button for better viewing. -Jimmy.
  22. It's pretty funny the way things work. I don't have a definite answer but I'm guessing that because the car is turbocharged that it is still prohibited. I'm making 115kw from my NA R32, you're only making 8 more kw's but your car is probably illegal.
  23. Spotted White R34 2dr at Tighes Hill TAFE parked next to me today.
  24. Spotted Silver R34 2dr at Tighes Hill TAFE this arvo.
