  1. Heaps of info already on this, Standard turbo is just the nissan RB25 turbo, nothing to special slightly different spec to the earlier models (someone correct me if i am wrong) Generally upgrade to a High Flow or an aftermarket garrett or HKS. Depends on what you want out of it, i.e response, top end power etc.
  2. That is intense, hopefully it will hit the right spot with alot of people and their thoughts about driving safely.
  3. None at all, something about your turbo.....
  4. Mate i think what you are feeling is the transition from vacuum to boost (pressure), the car needs some time to transform the air from vacuum and pressurise that same air upto your desired boost this is what is felt at around the 0psi mark. This reason also explains why it feels quicker if you sit at 0psi for a little bit rather than booting it.
  5. Yeah, i got a certificate from my alarm installer to prove it was installed by professional technician for insurance reasons in case anything happens.
  6. OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer Cant help you with the gear knob though... sorry
  7. I didnt use spacers to hold it off the base, that is where my problem lies as i squashed the gasket too much and it leaked, I have the rubber gasket. Can you get a metal reinforced gasket for it can you? How thick should the spacers be?
  8. BUMP... possibly an answer from a new audience. I am chasing this gasket maybe someone has not used it from a VRS kit and is willing to sell.

    Fuel Pump

+ 1 for either the Tomei or Nismo items, i went through the same thing you are going through and decided to bite the bullet and i am glad i did, no noise except when priming for a second, even then it is not bad at all. Your call though i cant comment on the bosch or walbro pumps but i can give a massive thumbs up for the Tomei and Nismo pumps, IMHO definatly worth the $$$.
  10. Does the car idle roughly or abnormally?
  11. Just got off the phone to nissan it is $105, anyone know of a cheaper after market one. I have found a cometic one but cant find any distributers in sydney. http://cgi.ebay.ca/Cometic-Intake-Collecto...1742.m153.l1262
  12. I am chasing a part number for the rubber gasket between the 2 halves of the plenum for an R33 Gtst 1997 series 2, or a suitable substitute. Many thanks Peter
  13. I have recently put a new forward facing plenum on my car, it uses the standard runners. I have reassembled it and can not get it to seal properly (tried 5 tmes over the weekend with the old gasket and some goo). I keep testing it after reassembly but it keeps leaking through the join of the 2 halves. My questions are: Has anyone ever had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it? Where can i get a new rubber gasket from and its part number if known? Is there a substitute for it maybe a paper gasket or something of the like? Is there an aftermarket one maybe? Would a paper gasket work at all with some goo? I have searched and can not find anything on it and the only gasket i can find is within a VRS kit and i dont want the whole kit. Many thanks in advance Peter
  14. Untuned cars have problems with atmospheric blow offs because the amount air which is sucked into the engine through the filter and passed the air flow meter (measures quantity of air being drawn into the engine) is used in the calculations the computer makes to ensure the correct mix of fuel and air is sent into the combustion chambers. When the blow off valve releases some of that measured air into the atmosphere the engine thinks it has more air than it acutally does and ends up running rich and basically like a dog becuase it has put the correct amount of fuel in for the measured air quantity. Basically your engine will not like you if you install an atmosperic blow off on a standard untuned car.
  15. +1 for price of new unit.
  16. +1 for Craved powder coating, ultra fast and fantastic finish, i will post pics when i install into my car, this afternoon. Pete
  17. In short It is a religious way to kill the meat. Do a google search i am no expert i am just saying that everywhere only has Halal meat, what if you dont want Halal meat.
  18. I hate going to Mc Donalds (and pretty much every where now) and all the burgers use Halal meat, what if I dont want halal meat? are they going to change it for me, i dont really care about it, but if we aussies did care would it be changed... I dont think so..... I hate the way people move here from other countries and dont even TRY to fit in... I also hate when they bring over there bad principals and fighting... we dont want it here in Aus things such as terrorism, gangs and fighting... I hate young kids who smoke and take drugs and think they are cool... Losers!! do you have to die for you to understand you ar killing yourself oh and you are NOT cool...

  20. Wow, no one had a white one (well not in those pics), should have come along, would have been good for some contrast. Shame my car is in pieces. Whens the next one in the new year some time? Pete
  21. Just a heads up, I am assuming you will be taking the scenic route via the sea cliff bridge. I drove that way back from wollongong last night and there is a sign saying road works on the 15th nov on the bridge. I dont know if you can get any more info about delays and times as such but just a warning to you all. Shame my car is in pieces or I would be cruising with you so i can meet some more skyline owners and the missus can chat to all the other GF's out there who are put second to the skyline , hahahahaha jokes. Have a great cruise and the weather stays good for you, and next wollongong cruise i shall be in and hopefully not too far away.
  22. I am looking into making a turbo heat shield to fit my Gt3076R and came across this idea (not mine unfortunately). I think it is pretty clever and very cheap which will suit alot of us out there. Just thought i would pass this on and maybe inspire some more of you fellow Skyline Owners. http://www.supra.org.au/index.php?module=w...TurboHeatShield Cheers Pete
