  2. Very well, I wish you all the very best for your build and I hope you can crack the magical 1000hp. This figure is normally reserved for highly strung RB26's or 2JZ's so best of luck, I hope to see you run 9's.
  3. I think this is the only option I will have to try and seal the inner flange, previously I just ran the stock gasket and didn't worry about the internal seal and it worked ok, but I would like to do it properly this time if I can. I will post if i find one. Rgds, Grippy.
  4. And the point of this post is ???
  5. Does anyone know if I can source a wastegate flange/ dump pipe gasket for a HKS GT2530 turbo for a RB20DET? I don't need the standard gasket as I have a front pipe that keeps the gases separated till later down the pipe. So I need a gasket that will match the divider within the turbine housing. The 2530 has a divider between the turbine and the wastegate within the turbine housing. It is proving difficult to find such a gasket as most applications use the stock gasket with a dump pipe that mixes the gases as they enter the dump pipe. Any help appreciated. Rgds, Grippy
  6. Take it easy big fella! We are all here to help each other out, the truth will come from it in the end. Don't use the forum to write people off, they are all here trying to help. If you don't have anything constructive to say, say nothing at all.. You are not the only one here that knows a little about the sacred Nissan family, some of us do it for a living. Enjoy and inspire..
  7. cheers, I'm sure it will be sorted out somehow. I will pass on the info to my brother. We both appreciate your help. Hope to see you at the next round. Rgds, Andy
  8. He was in car #551 Mark Smith. His times are now on Natsoft results. Not sure if CAMS has awarded him his final result and points. I think he was 7th in his class and I think he may get some points. I know he was registered for the championship. He was going to make some calls today and try to get it sorted. I'll let you know what comes of it. Thanks for your help. Rgds, Andy (Grippy)
  9. Sick, great result. I hope I can join in on the supersprints in a few months. I need to do some work to the R32 GTST an get it back on the track. I noticed the placings on the results sheet only goes up to 88. Wasn't there 110 entrants yesterday? If this is so 22 results are missing?? Thanks for your help. Rgds, Andy
  10. Thanks heaps, He is not too happy about being dropped from the results. He may have even scored some points. I saw you at the Bathurst Hillclimb the weekend before also, how did you do there? I could only stay a few hrs. Rgds, Grippy
  11. Thanks Michele, This is great, I have an issue though, my brother ran yesterday and was on the time sheets posted at time control yesterday, last we checked he was in 43rd position in a Nissan S13 Silvia running about 1.24.7 He does not appear on the results you have posted at all?? Any ideas why this may be so? Will the results be on Natsoft later? He will be spewing if he can't see his final best lap. Good to see you kept the Radical at bay!! Rgds, Grippy
  12. Can we find the time results from yesterday anywhere, I have searched Natsoft and nothing posted yet. Congratulations to you Michele we saw you run yesterday and you were on fire. Rgds, Grippy..
  13. After looking at the install of my map sensor sense lines it seems that I will need to fix the position of the sense lines as advised by everyone here. Both my sense lines are tapped off the the vacuum rail that sits above the injectors, right next to the rocker cover. One map takes the sense from the firewall end of the rail and the other from the timing belt end. The firewall end is also fitted with a tee that runs to my boost guage and the timing belt end is also fitted with a tee that runs to my fuel press reg. This is definately not how the Apexi install manual shows how to install them. (Thanks Paulr33) Both of my vacuum hoses are of entirely different length which may not be helping either. When I get some time this weekend I will fix it properly and see if it all runs ok. Thanks for all the advice. Grippy....
  14. I blew my stock turbo from a RB20det from running too much boost and we found the remains of the turbine wheel in a thousand little pieces in the cat. Pull your cat off and you will soon know. I'm pretty sure that's what you have done, the ceramic turbo's can't take much boost. Good excuse to buy a HKS GT2530 and pump it up to 200wk++! Good luck.. Grippy
  15. I will have to confirm where the tap off for the MAP sensors is coming from but for sure my install does not look like the photo here. It may be from the PCV valve. My vaccum hoses are much longer and different length. The sensors are only zip tied to the fuel rail. I will take some photos and post. Thanks again for all the help with this. I would never have got this fixed without your input. Rgds, Grippy
  16. This info has been fantastic, I did not install the power FC on my car and this is why I am having issues. Every point made out here is 100% spot on and even though they are only small discrepencies on the install I know it is causing me pain. I will re-configure the map sensor setup and have the ecu re-tuned, I hope this will solve my problem. Another issue that I have which I think is MAP sensor related is when the rpm reaches 6000 and the throttle is held constant the engine misfires badly and coughs and carries on. If I power through 6000rpm and de-cellerate through 6000rpm there is no misfire, it only happens when the throttle is held steady at 6000. Previously it was doing it at 4000rpm and I complained to the dodgy tuner here and all he could do with the re-tune was move the problem to 6000rpm. That's the way they fix things here, just fudge pucker it so you won't notice it. Thanks for all the input, I will advise on how it runs when I sort the install myself. Give me a week and it will be done. I will need a re-tune after I fix the map install right? Rgds, Grippy (Andy)
  17. The other issue I have with the tuner is that this is my work car and I work in Malaysia, and there is no one here that really has any clue about anything, thank goodness for Skylines AU. My Skyline in OZ runs stock ECU with eprom and has no issues at all. This is the first time I have dealt with aftermarket ECU and from what I know Power FC is pretty much idiot proof, yeah right, not here in KUL. Thanks for your advice and I will not be upgrading to single throttle. The car has everthing it needs, just missing a good tune and a few bugs ironed out. It is in an A31 Cefiro, I have track day tomorrow at Sepang and I will run it as it is and see how it goes but I'm sure you are right in saying that there seems to be an underlying issue that needs to be sorted before I can get the tune right. I wish I could tune this ECU myself, all the other work I do myself but I just don't have any experience in tuning these ECU's. For now I will have to learn little bit by little bit. Anyone tuners from OZ that want to make a killing in Malaysia? There is only 8 dyno's in the whole of Malaysia and not 1 good tuner...
  18. My MAP sensors (2) are on top of the fuel rail and have remote sense lines coming from the inlet plenum. I'm not real happy with the way it is setup. They are just silicone vacum hose the same size that you would use for your boost gauge going to the MAP sensors, the port in the inlet plenum is used for the temp sensor. I agree with you that there is loads of cars running the same setup as mine and have no issues at all dispite what power they run. Shouldn't the map sensors be bolted directly onto the inlet plenum and not run remotely via vacum hose? Cheers..
  19. I have a Power FC D-jetro running my RB26dett and at the moment I am running the stock multi throttle body setup. I cannot get the car to run smoothly, idle or have any use below 4000rpm. The ECU has been re-tuned 4 times already and each time it comes back with different issues in regards to daily driving. My tuner has advised me that when running the D-jetro ECU (map sensor) I will always have low rpm issues as long as I keep using the stock multi throttle body setup. He has advised that I go to a 80 or 90mm single throttle body setup and an aftermarket inlet plenum. This is going to cost big $$$. Has anyone experienced a similar problem with the RB26? I see many RB26 engines running the same ECU and retaining the stock throttle bodies and runnign big HP as well, do they all have low RPM issues due to the multi throttle setup? I really don't want to spend any more $$ on a maybe fix for this, I can replace the ECU with a haltech E11v2 for the cost of upgrading to single throttle. Is it going to fix my problem? If I change ECU will I still have the same problem? Thanks for your input.. Rgds, Grippy.
  20. I live in Malaysia for work and I have seen a few of these cars at big events like Super GT. It is common practice here to get a GTST of GTT, do some mods, throw some stickers on and call it a GTR!! They even put the GTR badges on them. There are quite a few genuine GTR's here but most of these heavily bodykitted cars are clones and don't have the grunt to backup the look. This look is not for me, I prefer the sleeper approach to look stock but goes like shit off a shovel, unfortunately here in KUL stickers and fake crap is all the rave. Take my Cefiro for example, it came with a RB26 in it (why I bought it) but also came with crap airbrushing on the bonnet, cream fake leather interior, stickers all over, huge offset wheels with spacers and a really noisy exhaust. I am slowly turning it into a fast regular looking car but the odds are against me. I have some photos that I will resize and post. Rgds, Grippy..
  21. As we have discovered our 2 Nissans will not qualify as "classic rally cars" for the Bega Valley Rally 2009. Will advise when we have a new motorsport plan for 2009. Rgds, Grippy.
  22. Bega rally 2009 is our goal as it is back on the calendar after being dropped for 2008. Still not decided if we will use the R32 GTST or the S13 Silvia as both are in final stages of prep and testing. Beyond that we will need to see what happens with superlap for 2009 and hopefully step up to rally of Tas in the coming years. Grippy.
  23. I'm looking for a plastic bodykit poly urethane or polycarbonate. The same material that the original bumpers are made of. I need the lightweight and flexibility as the fiber one I already have keeps cracking and falling off. I've had enough. Cheers, Grippy.
  24. Does anyone have info on where I can view and order polycarb bodykits for A31 Cefiro. I am looking for high quality kits from Japan but I am having trouble finding anything on the net. Rgds, Grippy
  25. Hi Ceffy lovers, My A31 is in desperate need of a new Polycarb bodykit from Japan as the current fibreglass one has cracked and fallen off the front. The car looks like it has had it's face ripped off!! I'm keen to get a high quality poly bodykit from Japan but I am having trouble finding anything on the net. Would appreciate if anyone can give me a ref to where I can view available bodykits and possible order from Japan? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Rgds, Grippy. RB26DETT A31 Cefiro
