  1. We don't need to do it that way.. just watch You do need to drill 2 holes for the master cylinder however as the holes are in the opposite position. We have a nice remote resevoir, so no cutting or grinding anything.. and making the rod to the correct length is simple, done it a lot. Relax.
  2. Someone post up a link or something for the software.. i'm guessing it's in Jap though
  3. I see your point.. I was thinking of the OS RB30, they have the low mounted tensioners, but then again, they have a different sized belt also.
  4. Thanks for the advice. I should be able to get the car running with the master correction on the hand controller and then get it down to a dyno with a datalogit for the actual tune
  5. The belt most are using with the RB30. Dayco belt. You don't need to do the tensioner like this also. I think 2 tensioners in the stock position would be fine.
  6. Ouch.. i'm going to have fun doing that. Do if you were to go and setup the INJ map with a certain % more for size of your injectors (444-600cc) it should be a more permanent fix..?
  7. Can you not do this in a more permanent way?.. seems odd to do it every time you turn the car off??
  8. Just contemplating if I can drive my car with PowerFC for an RB26DETT with an RB30DET. Upgraded injectors, turbo etc etc.. I guess if I tell the powerFC what injectors I am using and don't run any boost, it should be fine.. Freeze: Best to find out exactly what "sensors" you are talking about... Only sensors I can think he would "drill" would be the knock sensors.. but that won't stop it from starting.
  9. You guys running the RB30 with stock ECU? Is that a stock engine just 3L block or other mods also, injectors, turbo etc?
  10. I ususally get intercoolers made with the pipes on the same side when installing them on a GTS-T. They look a little different with the cores running vertically, look quite mean.
  11. Well considering people run the T51 on the Rb26.. it would be even better on an RB30. In fact there is an OS RB30 here running a T51R SPL.
  12. Sorry I didn't finish guys.. lol SMJ = Super Multi Junction. Thats the big plug by the ECU on the Rb25 rather than have several small plugs like the R32. EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation. I think he means the ACC valve? Heater hose adaptors.. $5 ones from repco will do it. The size of the RB25 is large 19mm or so where the R32 size into the firewall is 16mm or so. Now for the wires.. I didn't hook up A/C as there was none. In the R32 engine bay there are 2 plugs by the passanger side headlight. You use 3 wires from one of them only. The other plug is for an Auto. The 3 wires on the R32 are (Black/Red, White/Purple, White/black) the 2 large ones, are for the power to relays etc, the White/Black is power to sensors etc. Now in the same location there is a single plug that runs from the RB25DET. From this it is only the grey wire that is spliced into the Black/White on the R32 plug. This is power for the injectors. Under the dash at the SMJ you need to run 3 good sized wires up to the 3 in the engine bay on the R32 plug. There is a Red/Black, Red and a Black/White R33---------------------------R32 Black/Red---------------->White/Purple Red------------------------>Black/Red Black/White-------------->White/Black. (has the grey injector wire also attached to it.) This is all that is needed for the car to run. Now you just need to attach water temp, fuel pump relay and tacho under the dash. On the R32 under dash loom there are two plugs. The colours are similar.. you need to use the ones on the smaller or the two. 14pin. The other has 18. R33----------------------------R32 Blue/Black ---------------->Blue/Black. Water Temp. ( you also need to use the RB25DET engine sender. (single wire) Yellow/Blue---------------->Yellow/Red. Tacho Black/Pink------------------>Black/Pink. Fuel pump. Ok I think thats it... Beer credits would be good. I may have missed something.. i'm sure others can fill any holes. Ben
  13. If he meant Cam belt. All the other belts work though
  14. I just did the RB25DET engine conversion, on my own in 2 days... it is really quite simple.. Not the box.. but the only problem there is the speedo. Just use a mechanical one and modify the sender to accept the cable. use the RB25DET loom and ECU. RB20 Power Steering and mount to block RB20 Alternator and side loom. Just need to pull apart the RB25 side loom and remove the wires for the knock sensors. etc Use the RB20 engine cross member, engine mount brackets and engine mounts. Heater hoses need to have an adaptor to reduce them to rb20 size. Wiring, to get the car running you have to run 3 wires into the engine bay from under the dash from the RB25DET SMJ. I forget the colours off my head, but I can tell people if they ask.. Basically To be continued... got to go sorry guys
  15. You can't stop crap from forums, they feed of that stuff Thats why people take the data and make PDF's that only include the useful information I really should finish my PDF for S13 RB30 conversion.. good info for RB - S13 swap and RB26/RB30 build. Also have done a S15/S13 conversion and RB25/R32 conversion. Useful info for people who want to conversions and hybrids.
  16. Yes it can be hard to find.. but thast why this thread is 77 pages long. People get to 12, give up and ask again
  17. All this has been covered in this thread and in other threads here. GTR Plenum, not without mods which is a waste of time. Buy one that fits the RB25 head. Need an adaptor plate for the 4WD sump. Rb20DET AFMs will work with a series 1 RB25.
  18. Well we don't have that problem in NZ yet.. so I pulled it off all my cars as well as many others. It takes up valuable room, especially with a large single high mounted..
  19. Ok so I should run it.. for a street car.? Is there any way to T the wires in or anything for a single turbo conversion? as a stock GTR has the twin O2 sensors, or do I have to just run 2 O2 sensors into the one pipe?
  20. It's all about getting off the line, the GTS-T doing 11's didn't have an amazing MPH, just a decent 60ft. Without slicks and a good take off it's quite slow.
  21. How can it effect either of them? It's purly there to remove the fuel vapour. The smell and to stop it from getting into the air. It just saves space by removing it..
  22. Yes but with the PowerFC you can not set how much of the map you want the 02 to adjust.. It's better to tune without it than to worry if the one you have in there isn't working like it should be? I'm going to try without the O2 sensors and see how it goes, I have seen cars tuned without them and they get good gas milage. I also don't want to have to buy new GTR O2 sensors.. x 2
  23. Best I ever did in my GTS-4 RB20DET with boost and a T3/T4 running damn lean was 13.3 Best I have seen with stock injectors is also a 12.8
  24. There is a R32 GTS-T RB20DET with Slicks and a Stock Bottom end running high 11's down here. Just a cheap cam grind, Link Computer, T3/T4 turbo, Custom intake and exhaust manifolds.. it's not consistent but has done a couple of high 11's. Best of 11.8 I don't think it runs any Nos also. Also on a stoc GTS-T box.. they don't last long. I was suprised..
