  1. After a quick search, 100w globes aren't recommended. Just upgrade to brighter 55w globes if you can't afford or don't want to spend big money on a retrofit kit. Cheers
  2. Not too sure about the 100W globes mate. Never used it personally. I've heard of quite a few people using it with no problems and quite a few people having problems. Another path you can take is to do a retrofit. You can buy a whole kit off hidplanet.com. It includes original philips ballast and globes. I wanted to do this but I just need a quick and cheap upgrade. Cheers
  3. I'm pretty sure the HID kits are illegal to use on NSW and Vic roads. With HID kits installed in a R33, the light will be blinding on coming traffic. I've got some installed on my R32 which has projectors and I would have to say it's a pretty good improvement. I wouldn't recommend using HID kits on an R33. Hope that helps. Cheers
  4. Didn't NSW let you keep driving a turbo car if you purchased the car before the dates? Not too sure if Vic will allow that but I guess you can always call VicRoads and ask them.
  5. Your brother can't drive the Silvia mate. The only turbo cars you can drive are diesel turbos and Suzuki Cappucino 2D Cabriolet Turbo 3 cylinder 689cc, and Daihatsu Copen L880 2D Convertible 4 cylinder 659 cc. Cheers
  6. http://www.hornblasters.com/ Not cheap, but you'll have lots of fun with them. Cheers Adam
  7. From what I heard earlier on ten news was that a car had broken down, two cars were behind it and a truck from behind went over all three cars and killed the people inside these cars.
  8. Hey mate, error no. 26 is to do with your blend door servo motor. It controls the amount of hot/cold air coming through the vents. Cheers Adam
  9. Hi guys, you can check what globe you have in your car by pulling out the existing globe and just look around the base of it. It should say whether it's a H3, H1 etc. If you still can't identify what it is, just bring it to autobahn or repco and they should be able to help you out. You wouldn't want to buy a kit with the wrong globes. By the way, these kits have not given me any problems so far. Cheers Adam
  10. Hey mate, what colour is the boot lid? Cheers Adam
  11. Hey mate, you can adjust where your lights are pointing the same way as you would with the halogen globes. I pointed my lights down more than normal because as you can see, there is more glare and I don't want to be blinding people more then I already am. Cheers
  12. The one with the gears adjust the highbeams. I think it adjusts it up and down. Cheers
  13. http://www.arrivealive.vic.gov.au/c_youngGLS_7.html This section says that after July 2007, P platers can't drive a turbocharged, supercharged, nominated 6 cylinders or a car with 8 or more cylinders. I haven't heard of them being able to take your car away though. Cheers
  14. Hey mate, I've got a BOV adaptor. How much are you willing to pay for it? Cheers Adam
  15. My car originally took H3C's but I got an H3 HID kit and there was no modifying needed. I think you only have to add a ground wire if you were to keep the halogen globes. Cheers
  16. You will need to modify the latch or get a GTR latch. Cheers
  17. For those who want photos of these kits installed on an R32 with projectors can go to this thread. Thread They're not the best pictures, but you get the idea. I still need to see how these go on the road (car has no brakes). Cheers Adam
  18. I can't really say which one you should go for because I haven't actually used them on the road, but good luck with your choice anyway. Cheers Adam
  19. hanyou: Nah I don't mate. When you look in the engine bay, you don't notice anything different from stock. I tucked all the ballast and cable away so you don't really see them. I still need to adjust the light angle and see how they go on the road. Just have to wait till I get my parts. Cheers Adam
  20. With the ballast, I mounted it in between the guards and headlight. I used cable ties. You can mount it right under the headlight but I had no double sided sticky tape so I coudn't do that. Cheers Adam
