  1. I'm stuck under these P plater laws which pretty much prevent me from driving a turbo skyline and I've chosen to drive a KE70 corolla. If I wasn't stuck under any turbo rule (and had money), I would definitely be driving a MKIV Supra.
  2. The best place to purchase these projectors in Australia would be from local wrecker yards (if they've got any). They're not going to be the cheapest things, but you get your hands on them straight away if you buy locally. The other option is to buy them from US eBay. Instead of searching with the term 'honda accord euro projectors' or something along the lines of that, search for 'tsx projectors' or 'acura tsx projectors'. They can be had for $150 if I can remember correctly. The next problem you'll have to solve is the shield for the cut off line. Because the US drive on the left hand side, their light is going to blind everyone if you use it in Australia. You'll have to modify the shield to suit the side Australia drives in. If you need more information on this modification, let me know and I'll give you a link. I'm sure I've got it lying around somewhere.
  3. Yep, I did this with my rear guards. Just make sure you've got a solid pole. I crushed 2 poles out of 4 trying to roll/flare my rear guards.
  4. I think it could be that piece of plastic that you dropped down the 'black hole' a few weeks back! hahahha
  5. In general, I would go for the 1st option out of the two. You would need to post a picture up of your car though. The 2nd option might look better depending on the style your car's got.
  6. I first off used that sized book, but once I finished, it still rubbed so I tried it again with an extra book in between the gap, now it's too big... Best thing to do would be to get a guard roller, but if you can't wait, the newspaper roll technique works and it doesn't crack your paint (it didn't on mine).
  7. No need to get someone to roll your guards. The tools you'll need are a heat gun, jack, a yellow pages book and a friend. Heat up your guard where you want it to be 'rolled', jack car up, put yellow pages book in between guards and tyre, lower the car, start jumping on the car with your mate to 'pull' the guard out a little. Take book out and look at work. If you did it properly, it should no longer rub. I'm not being a dickhead or anything about what I just posted. I've done it myself because the rubbing was so bad and the technique I used (and many other people) works. Edit: Here's a picture of how mine went out. The tyre was originally sitting on the guard, or guard was originally sitting on the tyre. I used a pretty think book and this is how it turned out. The gap is too big now.
  8. The part you reseal is where the front cover (the part that is dirty) and the rear part (where everything is held onto, black part). Where those two meet, you've got to seal it up again. Here's a picture to explain what I'm talking about. hahha The cover you take off to clean 'connects' to this part circled. My english sucks ass, can't explain anything, I just hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
  9. I don't have white wheels, but I just use those wheel polishes they sell at supercheap auto and it does the job. Nothing has happened to the wheel's condition (apart from being cleaner) from it so I guess that's a good sign.
  10. A topic about tint came up in the Vic section a few months back and it's only legal to have the rear quarter windows dark. So pretty much the windows that the driver need to look through to drive can't be darker than 30% (I forget the exact number ).
  11. What else is there to do? We've got the mega cruise idea to Mount Panorama, a track day somewhere (don't know how this relates to the GTR's 20th...), a photo shoot of only R32 GTRs lined so we could take a photo of it from air and you'll be able to see Godzilla himself. We'll need a car park big enough though. Unless we have 20 GTRs lined up to celebrate the 20 years.
  12. You'll need a heat gun/hair dryer and a blade. Something like an emo blade, then heat and slice/carve away... I've read a few stories of people trying to remove tint themselves and they've all recommended others to get it professionally done. Only $80 or so anyway.
  13. Oooohhhh more photos of the above please! Looks so much like abu's car. He used to have vskf's too! He just didn't keep them on for long.
  14. With cracked paint, I just sprayed clear coat over it. Can't tell anything has been painted on it, but it will protect it from corrosion. This was with my ke70, with a skyline, I would get it resprayed properly. Average price for a roll job would be roughly $50 per guard, or even $45.
  15. Haven't used it myself, but have heard good things about them Omega jacks. They can be purchased from Bursons.
  16. Can't imagine the huge cruise going all that well to be honest. Petrol prices being a killer, the drive itself being a killer, what's the chances of people actually going? I can imagine it happening though, would be crazy. Every skyline member/owner on the forums car's lined down conrod straight.
  17. I watched that first then saw the Dick Johnson vs Skaif one. They should've kept these sort of races going instead of having only the ford, holden v8s (don't know full story of Australian race history ). I even saw an AE86 in the race, don't know what it's doing in there! hahaha
  18. Nah, I haven't seen any of the races which had GTRs in it to be honest. The GTRs were dominating when I was born/learning how to eat. hahaha. ** goes to youtube ***
  19. I'm not old enough to remember/know, but the GTR was known from winning races on Mount Panorama? Maybe we could organise a huge cruise up to the the mountain itself? I don't know, just throwing ideas around.
  20. Cleaning the inside won't do any damage if you open it up properly. I recommend using a heat gun to melt the glue rather than putting it in the oven. I've had headlights melt while it was in the oven, it could've been because my oven was too small . I've since then used a heat gun to open up lights and it's all good. Just heat one section at a time and pull out, heat up another, pull out, etc. You'll have to keep cleaning it to keep it looking nice like siddr20 said.
  21. This isn't the Bunnings across the road from the Police station is it?

    Just Got P's

Congrats on getting your licences mate. It feels good to finally be able to drive solo after years of having a parent beside you. Don't do any damage to anything or anyone now...
  23. I don't know how others do it, but I just right click the image you want to resize, edit, it will open up in MS Paint, then go to the top drop down box thingy and click "image", then "stretch/skew", then just type in a percentage of what you want left of the original image in both the horizontal and vertical, then "ok". If you end up resizing it too much, just press, "ctrl" and "z" at the same time to redo. I'm the biggest computer noob I know, so if there's a better way of resizing images, let me know. hahaha
  24. Better view of the sunrise/sunset, but either way, your car should be the main piece of the photo not the scenery. Who cares...
  25. He's got condensation/water in his headlights so the seals are stuffed. Polishing will never get it out as it's on the inside. Keep searching on yahooauctions Japan and a new set will pop up from time to time. The best thing to do would be to just open the headlight up and clean everything inside and reseal it up with new seals. Make sure the cover for the globe plug is tight as well. Moisture can get from the globe plug hole and make it dirty.
