  1. Yeah, you've got to do that first then that other one. Make sure you don't screw a spark plug into the sump instead of the sump plug though.
  2. Not sure how low your springs are, but when I've worked on springs and taking them off, they've always had enough pressure to throw the nut through a garage door! Just go and buy a set of spring compressors from supercheap mate. Something like $50 for the pair. There's a sale on now as well, take advantage of it. Edit: It's not the spring you should be scared of. It's the nut.
  3. One tip I can give you is that the springs and shocks from the coupe's will fit your car. And before someone else says so, check out Sydneykid's group buy suspension package. Haven't heard of one bad thing about them.
  4. My Learners car, My current car, Wheels are on their way!
  5. You'll still be able to use your heater if everything else is working normally, your control unit, sensors, etc.
  6. I seriously thought you were joking when I saw these pictures posted up (I think it was on ns.com), but it seems as though you really want these to fit! Sorry I couldn't answer the question.
  7. Did you do a retrofit or just buy one of those kits off ebay and install them into your factory headlights? I haven't seen any leveling systems for sale. Most people just do the retrofit and hope they never get caught with them. Chances are the police wouldn't know they're illegal in the first place because it's not like they produce heaps of glare or anything like that. Remember you'll also need cleaners and get it engineered.
  8. You'll be able to find a decent NA mkiv supra for about $13,500 (asking price, probably a few hundred or $1k less if you negotiated). Just keep your eye open.
  9. I don't see why not either. Usually when people have fitment issues and resort to spacers, they're rubbing the calipers. Seeing that you're still running the R33 4 piston calipers and want to run R33 gtst wheels, I don't see why not.
  10. I just ran outside to check and the standard tyre size is 205/55/16 for a 32. So it's 6.5" wide wheel running 205/55 tyres.
  11. You'll probably never see a car with more dish up front than the rears unless he purposely did that to prove me wrong. There's always more dish at the rear compared to front because the rears can run wider and lower offset wheels. Front's are usually thinner with a higher offset and often have a different face to clear larger brake calipers. This face minimizes the amount of dish the wheel has. I'm sure there was no need for me to explain that, but for those that didn't know...
  12. I think that's the standard size tyre for a 32 gtst. Only problem you'll run into running smaller tyres would be a faster speedo reading. It says you're going 100km/h, but really it's 95km/h for example. Edit: Didn't see the above post. I think it's 225mm wide standard with a larger profile.
  13. You see wheels with heaps of dish like the one posted above quite a lot on yahooauctions. It's crazy how wide they are compared to their diametre.
  14. Carsales and Carpoint would be the best place to find how much each car roughly costs. I don't think you'll be able to get a decent dc2r for $10k. Don't get a 1.3ltr carby in the civic. You'll get sick of the power real quick if you're after some power. My car's got a 1.3ltr carby as well, but at least it's rear wheel drive. Could have some fun in it. Can't imagine being in a civic with shit all power fun.
  15. I don't think you'll be able to drive a 4age powered ae86 because you can't do anything to your car which increases engine power output. No engineering is needed though because Japan got ae86's with 4age's.
  16. Australia got S14's. Just not NA ones. S13's, 14's and 15's are all silvias. It's just that the S13 is more known for being a silvia.
  17. That's my long term plan right there... to throw in a much more power full engine, something like a ca18det or sr. It'll rape people without them knowing it.
  18. I would personally go for the vtec powered car over the non turbo skylines and silvias if I was looking at a little speed. You're gonna have a tough time finding an NA S15. They weren't allowed over for some reason. The only ones you'll see for sale would be ones which were brought over as a personal import as far as I know. An NA 180sx will be slightly easier to find, but not as easy as an NA S13. I seriously don't know what I'd get if I had $10k to spend to be honest. I was in the same position as you, but already had a skyline I couldn't drive. I just saved the money and purchased a cheaper rear wheel drive car, a KE70 Corolla. I'm driving this till I get some more experience under my belt.
  19. None with those wheels, sorry. Maybe these will make up for it? They're: Work VS-KF 19 x 9.5 +2 on 245 35 19 19 x 10.5 +7 on 275 35 19 Slightly pulled rear fenders, fronts come rolled from the factory -3 deg camber up front -3.6 deg camber in the rear
  20. I don't know much about the thermostats, but wouldn't taking it out be the same thing as leaving it in during the track day? Because once the engine's warm, the thermostat's open so the engine is already trying its best to cool the engine? Taking it out would be the same thing, no? The way I see it is that the thermostat's only there to help the engine warm up faster. Correct me if I'm wrong guys. Cheers
  21. If performance (handling) is not what you're after then it doesn't matter, all you need now is some wheels that fill out the guards! That's crazy low though. Never seen a skyline lowered that much.
  22. Yeah, I press in the centre as well, but not the centre, middle centre, if you know what I mean.
  23. I would go for the R33, better engine, brakes, it's newer, etc. Just go for the car that's in better condition if you're stuck in the middle in my opinion. I have a feeling this gonna turn into a R32 vs. R33 thread.
  24. You're on a Nissan Skyline forum, chances are we all think the Skyline performs best of the lot. With your choice of Skyline and Silvia, what models were you looking at? I'm assuming for the Skyline's it's the R32 and Silvia being an S13? If you want a rear wheel drive, get the Prelude off your list.
