They fit your car perfectly, but scrub? One reason why they could be rubbing is because of shitty offset. Try using some spacers to make the wheels closer to the guard and clear the suspension. Or... get smaller tyres. How wide are the wheels?
-
They're 18x10 +18 and 17x9.5 +17. Sorry if you didn't want me to post this, but Australia needs better wheel fitment.

Why Do People Remove The Rear Spoilers Of Gtr's?
adam-__- replied to menace's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Why do people put on ugly ass kits on skylines? Cause they want to! Who cares what other people do to their cars. If it looks like ass, it'll just make your car look better. -
H.i.d's - How Much K's Should One Go?
adam-__- replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
All sorts of HID's are illegal unless your car had it as an option or you had them engineered with cleaners, level adjusters, etc. The brightest temperature is 4300k, it's the same colour as our natural light from the sun. It's white. As you go cooler (4000k), it gets yellow. As you get higher (6000k), it goes blue. For the best light output, go for 4300k. Anymore and you're looking at rice. If you're planning on putting these in the R33's reflector housing, you're gonna blind everyone on and around the road. I highly recommend you stay with the standard halogen style globes. Your headlights were designed to use halogens. -
Those HID kits in reflector housings will give worse results than putting them in projectors. You often see people not recommend putting those kits into R33's because they've got reflectors. Having the kits in R32 projectors, you could be forgiven for having them in, but putting them in a reflector is a big 'no no'. As for the bulb, try getting some philips globes. You'll spend a little more, but you'll also get better results. Edit: If you want the best headlight output, go retrofit a projector from a car which had HID's as standard. Honda Euro's are a popular choice.

What's with all these videos?

Damn... primary school? haha. You're not gonna recognise anyone! Good luck though.

R33 Indicators Blinking Crazy
adam-__- replied to SKYTYM's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
It's most probably a blown globe. Replace it and it should go back to normal. I've got this problem of having them go fast one day and normal the next. I think there's something loose. -
Why Does The Weather Affect The Way My Car Runs?
adam-__- replied to 4drftn's topic in General Automotive Discussion
A tune to suit your climate should fix everything up. The reason it runs better in the warmer weather is because warmer air has I think less oxygen particles per cubic centimeter. Cooler air will have more. If your car is tuned to Sydney weather (warmer than Hobart), the air and fuel mixtures would be different. Something along the lines of that. -
For those of you who would like to learn more about HID's in general should give this a read. It's a great read and you'll learn a lot. I hope this will change everyones minds about installing those cheap HID kits into your halogen designed headlights. http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html Enjoy!

Hi mate, are these 'raybrig' globes HID globes by any chance? I've never heard of them before. Hot spots usually occur when you install HID globes because halogen and HID globes produce their 'peak' brightness at different positions along the globe (halogen produce it at the top of the globes, HID produce it in the near middle). The head light housing is designed for the halogen globes, so the reflectors/projectors collect the light from that area most. If you put in HID globes (different brightness position), the reflectors will collect the 'wrong' light. f**k, haha, I didn't exactly explain that all too well, but I hope you can put the information together for a better understanding. As far fixing it up, I don't think you can apart from using globes that the head light housing was designed for. From my experience, all halogen head lights have some hot spots to an extent. It's just that the light isn't bright enough to produce a 'clear' hot spot. Cheers

Any R33/4's Out There?
adam-__- replied to Spunky Munky's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
There was a link to that car posted by nice 28. Good enough. -
I never knew there was a right and wrong way to a mesh. I only realised that there was a top and bottom, but not front and back. My mesh looks completely see through. Only at some angles the mesh seems to cover the cooler. I'm gonna check if I can turn it around and see a difference.

From what I can see from other videos, you can control how much of the valve you want opened/closed. I haven't got this installed myself, but having the valve closed fully shouldn't do any harm if you're just doing street driving. You shouldn't be trying to push the car with the valve closed anyway.

Is My Shock Stuffed?

You could always get the $14 checks from pedders to see what's really wrong. $14 isn't much and sometimes they could even do it for free! -
***********r33 Stolen****pics***********
adam-__- replied to Sheepish7's topic in General Automotive Discussion
What kind of dumb thief would steal a car, go to another state/city and drive it there? I think it's just a coincidence that the car spotted in Noble Park is similar to the one reported stolen. Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for it. I live in the area so it shouldn't be too hard to spot it more than once. -
Honestly, no, I haven't. I would've just assumed that it would be similar to the standard one, but higher flowing.
-
Mines right against my cooler. Only because my cooler is right against my reinforcement bar and the mesh is in between them two. My mesh is only there to protect my cooler from small stones, not possums. haha
-
Great looking shots guys! Any chance I can rock up with my rolla next time?
-
I would try and stay with a low mount if it's going to be a street driven car. It'll look more standard then a turbo staring at you when a cop pulls you over. It really depends if the turbo will fit down low. Not sure on which one would perform better though.
-
I bought my mesh from supercheap and it's a pretty good size. Anyway, I attached the mesh to my reinforcement bar. It's squeezed in between the cooler and reo-bar. Everything is just cable tied up. Looks pretty good. I'll try and get a photo for you when I get the chance. The mesh has actually been doing its job as well. No stone chips yet! *** touch wood ***

Is that what your bonnet looks like? And I thought there was a major difference between an R32 and S15 bonnet, how could you get them mixed up?
-
Sounds like something is wrong with your cable and the lock itself. There shouldn't be anything stopping you from opening the boot with the key except the key itself (valet key).
