  1. To get the most out of your original HID housing, get the D2R globes (assuming that they're the factory style). You can get those cheap HID kits with D2R on ebay, but you said 'decent', not sure if those will be.
  2. Yeah, the 'grippier' tyre should be on the rear. Wider should be on the rear, slightly larger rolling diameter in the rear also. Best just to get all 4 tyres the exact same (width, diameter, brand, etc).
  3. Stick with the standard blow off valve.
  4. Nah, they don't without a lot of modifications. I think you can get covers to make them look like the coupes. I think east bear or something sell them.
  5. As long as they're the same rolling diameter it should be okay.
  6. Yeah, I don't see a problem driving a turbo'd 32 for your Ps. Like DRD-00F said, you just can't drive it home. I don't think there will be a problem, but it's not the smartest thing to do (bad rep etc.). Just go in with a shit box.
  7. The H1 globe will have nothing to do with the original HID globe as far as I know. Hopefully someone who's got the HID's reinstalled can help you out.
  8. Looks like a clean ride mate. Congrats on the purchase. For those who can't be bothered clicking on the links:
  9. As long as you get globes that are the same as the genuine ones I don't see a problem. For example, if you're headlight originally took D2S globes, you must get D2S globes for your headlights to perform at their best, but that's a bit obvious, I didn't have to explain that. Good luck, I hope you find a set of globes and ballast at a good price.
  10. No, no umm, I think there would be some 34 headlight housings which only came with halogen globes, but if your headlight has the 'xenon' printed, it had HID's installed back in Japan, but the compliance people took them out because they're illegal on Australian roads. If you've got the 'xenon' printed and you plan on putting HID's back in, you can, you just have to make sure you get the genuine HID system that came with the 34's. You can't throw those cheap HID kits in for example. Headlight housings which came with HID's will have a different reflector design to those without HID. The two globes produce light in a different position. If 34's ever came with halogens from factory, there will be two different types of housings on the market.
  11. If you're trying to ask what globes your headlight takes, try a search in the general section, you'll find all the information you'll ever need. Cheers
  12. f**k, why didn't I think of this before.... Just take your existing globes out, if they look like normal halogen globes, they're halogen, but if they look like a tube with a little 'bulge' in the middle, they're HID. Post up a pick if you're not sure.
  13. Your headlight probably had HID globes in them from factory (that's why you've got the 'xenon' printed), but there's a high chance that the compliance company took them out and put halogen globes in. To check whether or not you've got HID globe installed at the moment, check around the headlight to see if there's a ballast mounted somewhere. Or you can just switch on your headlights and see if they come on straight away or not. If they come straight on to the normal colour, they're halogen, but if they look like they 'power up' in the first 2 secs, then it's probably HID's. Make sure the globes are cold when you test this way. Hope that made some sense.
  14. 'M-spec' is the 'luxury' version 34 GTR's. There's no such thing as an 'm-spec' 33. It's called 'type m'. I'm not too sure about the 33 lights, but on the 32's the lights are very dull and 'shit'. Are your headlights dirty? Maybe give them a clean to let more light come out. I think 33 headlights normally take H1 globes, but it would be best to wait till someone with a 33 come and confirm that for you. You could always take the globes out and check the globe for any markings. Should say what they are on the base of the globe.
  15. The standard GTSt wheels are 6.5". Like what everyone else has said, I wouldn't go any wider than 225's.
  16. I would say supra if tyres, driver, etc were the same.
  17. Looks like a clean car mate. Congrats on the purchase.
  18. I vote manual, but it depends on whether this car will be a daily or not.
  19. I'd probably pick the evo if I ever had the chance. How much is a brand new A4 quattro? If it's under 70k I'd probably get that. More class.
  20. Blue? What kind of blue?
  21. There are plenty of threads with the information you're after. A quick search will find them easy. To give you an idea of how they're on fuel, people usually say, "If you're worried about fuel, the skyline is the wrong car for you."
  22. Why are they so cheap? I would've thought they'll be at least $400, but $129? That's crazy cheap. I'm just gonna wait till the Christmas sales. I don't even have a licence or a proper car I can drive yet so no point buying it JUST yet.
  23. I don't think you'll get pulled over in a stagea unless it has a loud as "f**k off" exhaust or something obviously illegal. Only reason I would see a cop pull you over when you're in a stagea is because they 'don't know what it is'. That's what happened to my dad when he was driving the 4dr 32. They pulled him over because they didn't know what it was.
  24. That's pretty awesome. I wonder how often these cars get started and driven.
  25. Ah cheers for that guys! $175 is a very good price.
