  1. With the new wheels on your car, the wheels will stick out another ~30mm at the rear and ~18mm at the front. Check your car how much clearance there is. If there's more than 30mm between your wheel and your guard, it should fit. If there's more than 18mm at the front, they should fit depending on whether they clear the brakes or not.
  2. If I were you I would go with the 8.5" at the front and 9.5" in the rear. I wouldn't have a clue how much clearance there is between your wheels and your guards, but I can help you out if you can get me some information. Your current wheel specs: I'll need your, wheel width, offset, diameter, tyre width and profile. Your new wheel: Just give me your desired width for the front and back and I'll work out which offsets I'd recommend. Also how much clearance there is between your WHEEL and your guards front and rear. If you get me that information, I should be able to help you decide which offset to go with.
  3. Sorry mate, I didn't mean to offend you in any way. Seeing that the car is used as a daily, I'm not surprised it doesn't have its tyres 2mm from the guards. It's a beautiful car though mate. I'll be lucky if any of my car's will look like that. Take care of it. Cheers
  4. If you don't want to flare your guards, just get your guards rolled and get wheels and tyres that just fit in them. Do as much researching and reading as you can before you purchase anything.
  5. There's a chick driving a black evo in the keysborough area. I have to admit, I was quite surprised seeing a female driver.
  6. I agree, you just need confidence in your work, if you don't feel confident, don't do it. Where's this "bursons" place? What is it? Is it like Bunnings type place? Serious question though.
  7. Having the holes there mean you're going to have to cut your reinforcement bar which will give you a higher chance of your insurance company not paying out IF you have an accident.
  8. Pretty much what I was going to say.
  9. This thread is over 2 years old!!!
  10. The rust around that area is bloody common isn't it. Why's that? Does water get trapped behind the brake lights easily or something? Would you use some sort of silicon around the light to stop water from getting to that area?
  11. Yeah, that sounds about right. Don't forget to use some glue to keep the indicator in there. You don't want people stealing them now.
  12. I found that the best way to open a headlight is by using a heat gun, not the oven. Not sure how big your oven is, but when we tried to open a headlight up, one side of the headlight melted. I just find using a heat gun be the safer option, but slower.
  13. I never knew you had to bleed the ABS unit. If you've bled the brakes and they're still spongy, your master cylinder probably needs reconditioning.
  14. I'm with you mate, without this forum I wouldn't have known what to do when my car got into trouble.
  15. Not sure if they affect it in any way, but it wouldn't be much if it did. 32 headlights were shit from factory.
  16. Depending on whether or not there's still some black left on the light, sand the rest of it off then just spray it black. You shouldn't have to primer it, just give it a few light coats. I should get around to doing mine as well. The flaking makes it look 'cheap'.
  17. Are you sure there will be holes? I don't think those badges would. If you plan on taking them off, just use a heat gun and some fishing wire. Heat up the glue and use the fishing wire to 'scrape' the badges off from behind. You can use some sort of cut and polish to get rid of some of the outline.
  18. The R32 handbrake cable is about 20cm shorter if I remember correctly.
  19. +1, it's not worth fixing up your car. Better off selling parts.
  20. I wouldn't recommend those cheap dremel copies. My brother purchased one and its f**kin weak as. It can't cut through some thin materials. Best to go straight to the real thing and not to bother with the cheap ones.
  21. +1 for "DO IT!!" Not sure what garage13 has, but here's their site. http://www.garage-13.com/
  22. Oh okay, I see it now. I've always been looking at GTR's and just got used to the look of them. Never realised the 'other' ones existed until I actually went out and searched for pictures of them. The GTR ones sure do look better. Wouldn't have a clue where to get them from though.
  23. I'm sure there's a thread somewhere saying what to do before a track day. Oil change, etc.
  24. Do you have any pictures you can post to show the difference between the two? I never realised there were two different lights.
  25. Oh okay. I just assumed that because most dealers compliance their cars, they would've taken out the HID's and sell them off. Usually when you buy private, the previous owner could've changed them back.
