  1. Hey those are the same wheels as the ones on my brother's girlfriend's car (Toyota Sera). They don't look too bad on your car mate. Should've gone with Rays though
  2. Would it be normal if the car DID stall?
  3. He's getting a wide body on his car. You never have too much dish
  4. $17k is a bit much in my opinion, but if the condition of the car is worth $17k, it's up to you whether you want to pay that much for a good condition car.
  5. Oh these people just get mixed up with the car being a 'Type M'. It's not 'M Spec'. And for the differences between the Series 2 and type m, I'm not too sure on what they are. I don't own a 33 so I'm not the best person to be answering this. I'm sure a search will give you answers though. Pretty much any question you can think of has been covered somewhere here on sau.
  6. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t35129.html There you go mate. No need to search this time.
  7. There's a thread as to what you should look out for when buying a skyline. It's on here somewhere. I think it's in the diy/tutorial section. There's no such thing as a 'M spec' R33. The only m spec made was the luxury version R34 GTR's.
  8. If I had the money, I would go for the 34 GTR. Not too sure on how good the new GTR is yet.
  9. That thing's got 1500hp.
  10. Can you do that? As in throw in a NA engine into a car that was originally turbo and be able to drive it on your P's? I always thought they get the car's factory specs. Like you can't go out and buy an R33 and throw in 200kg of bricks (also getting it engineered) to make it under the power to weight ratio. Make sure you know 100% you can get away with it before doing anything.
  11. Never knew about the differences in octane rating. I always thought everyone was the same.
  12. Looks like they work their way up with the fines. $230 at first, but then if you don't listen they'll eventually make it $1100. As much as I hate these laws, I accept it. They're here to protect us.
  13. They don't look too bad in my opinion.
  14. Hot rods are ALL legal? They're bloody driving around with their engines hanging out. haha
  15. Wow the laws been in place for a while now and you're the first person that I've heard of that's been caught. Did you get the $1100 fine by any chance? Or was that after you got caught a couple of times.
  16. The car was some sort of falcon if I remember correctly. A silver coloured one (not that the colour of the car is important).
  17. Yeah I reckon that'll be a good idea. What's the chances of having a car that's modified and completely legal? The chances are pretty small.
  18. Yeah I think this was posted over on ns.com. They say that these drivers don't have any control over their cars? They looked like they had control to me.
  19. Would an auto still stall with the atmo bov installed?
  20. Telling your dad to give it a drive once a week should be fine. Is leaving a tank of fuel sit there good? I would've though having the least amount of petrol in the tank would've been best because the fuel 'expires' and you would have to refill anyway.
  21. Another P plater accident.
  22. Welcome to the forums mate. I look forward to cruising with these guys/girls one day too.
  23. Nah I didn't mean purchasing those cheap HID kits. No way would I recommend doing that. I meant doing a full retrofit. Same as what ronin did to his headlights. New projectors and globes from a honda euro for example.
  24. The clicking noise is worn out gears. The gears which move your vent direction is worn out and the motor slips while trying to turn it.
