no RWC but i can tell you what it would need... washer bottle for wipers (i took it out when i move the air filter but still have the water pump/motor and hoses) remote swich for the horn (the boss kit for the wheel doesn't meet the brass pin for the horn) rear demister switch (it burnt out) new fuse for the hazard lights (burnt out the other week i think) don't have the time to run around to wreckers to grab those things at the moment but all would be easy to find and put in yourself

My bad.. I'd be happy to take anything over $5000

1982 L20ET 4 door bog stock orginal R30. one of the first to arrive in Aust over. Imaculate inteirior, and well kept motor but some panel damage. HR30 GT 4dr L20ET, dyno'd - 115kw @ wheels (totally stock, not even a cooler) 240k on the clock blitz BOV, Pod Filter, 10mm custom leads thats it in the way of motor mods, all new leads, hoses, clamps, electrical connectors, alt, starter motor, radiator....(most things have simply been renewed/rebuilt to keep it fit, list too long so i won't go into it) Lowered on a set of custom King springs, and adjustable Koni's Rolling on 15inch Work, E-wing rims (70% tread on Yokohama C Drives) using standard 5 speed short box (rebuilt x 2) Exedy HD clutch Motor very regularly serviced (every 5000km and always new filters) standard brakes, just bendex ultra something pads..... Very clean inside and under bonnet, just needs some panel love from someone who has the time. Will be very sad to see her go but thems the breaks. See my profile for photos contact me on [email protected] or 0422455443 located in Melbourne Make an offer!!

Have opted for a Chaser to replace my daily drive but i'm still a Nismo fan through and through but Chaser's do kick ass

Hi Shelly, You'll need to put a little more info on here to get some bites. A price would help too And coincidentally i just put mine on here for sale.

Z170..... have changed alot of them on my L20ET - every 5000km for the last 90000km

Rear boot trim very hard to find. Shame the tail lights are missing their covers.

I'd recomend getting a radiator out of an EL koon car - bigger and better from a 4lt and cheap as from any wrecker

look's like I've created a bit of controversy or difference of opinion with this thread... brilliant, that is what a forum is for..... As for the Silvia in those photos i think everyone would agree that they are most definitely NOT a practical wheel and tyre set up. Nor do they look good when something has been dangerously streached over a rim that is clearly too large for the tyre. I'd like to see him keep a decent amount of speed up in any sort of corner just to see the look on their face as the tyre pops off the rim and digs a sizable whole in the road... now.... I'm running 215/60 15's which is slightly unusual size and should have 205/65 15's on there i know. As for insurance as well as practical purposes it would be ridiculous for me to strap some 225 tyres over an 18x10 inch rim and that is not what i intend to do. At most I'll be going a 17x8 if not 7/7.5inch with 225/235 on the rear and keeping a 205/215 print on the front. - what i was concerned about was whether the fronts would scrub out on full lock as i was told they would with anything bigger than the 215's i have on there at the moment. The other thing i'm assessing is whether or not i should/will have to change stud patterns/hubs/controls arms etc if I'm going to Z32 fronts as this will force me to reconsider wheel specs. Or alternatively i'll just have some custom rims made to suit running on a steel rim for recycling purposes. This would of course be a more expensive exercise even with friends working in this particular field. what is funny about my dilemma is that i don't NEED the extra braking power just yet but WANT it as buying some new DBA 317 slotted rotors at $250+ 'each' seems like a waste of money when i'd have to change the set up for when the new motor goes in for compliance and engineering certificates

cool will pm you about rims soon.. ahhh that ECU problem... man whata headache... it turned out my ECU wasn't sending a constant signal to the fuel pump thats why it would cut out mid throrrle and a explains the problems i had a long time ago with the car not starting due to no fuel pump signal.. New ECU works fines... not a problem - going to a mega squirt soon so by by vale air flow meter and the rest.. will be testing it in the next month or so

Something similar to what i already have.. kinda attached to this rims so i'll be sad to see them go. 17inch with a bit of dish to it and 5-7 spoke.. been looking at some work rims that look pretty nice.. see my profile for pics

do it yourself front brake upgrade for the r30
GTR30 replied to rsx84's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
re write would be good -
Alright heres how the situation looks..... need some wheels first but i'll get that sorted quick enough.. probably going to use r31 front struts in the front and adapt the Z32 calipars to them...(apparently it will be easier) plus i already have R31 shocks in my struts at the moment... we just trimmed a bit off to make them fit. just had new lower control arms fitted yesterdy.. made a nice differnce in the driving comfort.. but we'll probably ditch them and fabricate some nice adjustable ones down the line so if anyone wants some spanking new controls arms drop me a line... same as the local r30 and at $160 each they're pretty cheap.. anyone got a difference of opion here...? haha i know there will be someone.. Dave

a bit of dish is mean thing!! i'm looking at something around 17x8 and 17x9 with a nice bit of dish in the rear
-
So whats the largest wheel width and tyre size that will comfortably fit under the guards without flaring the guards or going too deep into the wheel arch?
-
thes work rims have a pretty unusual offset (can't remeber what they are) and will pretty much only fit an R30 import. Plus they have a raised centre in the wheel which barely clears the standards brakes so i'm going to have to get bigger rims
-
Are 32 GTR bigger than Z32's?? might be a bit of over kill don't you think?? it's still a light car..
-
I'm upgrading my braking system as the old R30 shit ain't cutting the mustard anymore. Probably going with Z32 4 spots up front and 2's in the rear and quiet possibly using R31 bits to mount the calipars on.... BUT... here's my issue - The 3 piece alloy work rims i have won't fit anything bigger under them as they are 15inchers so i'll need something bigger and i need some advice. I'll be going up to some 17inch rims to suit the car, but, offset and stud pattern are holding me up...... Would like to go to a nice common offset and stud pattern to make finding rims a little easier other wise i'll get some made up. So any tips on my project????

I'd rather spend an extra 20k on mine and put that thing to shame.... NA FJ21 phhht please.. keep it for the NA drags over there...
-
i want what DRThirty is on..... must be some good drugs ahahhaaa if anyone is going to do a serious transplant it should be a god damn RB26dett!!! then piss off the twin set up.... OR if you wants to piss some people off... why not a 13b turbo or even a 20g(b) turbo.. just for something a little out of the ordinary.... ther's plenty of creative room under the bonnet:P

If you have no joy finding springs on ebay try calling King Springs Gold Coast office and they can custom make you a set, cheap... I got my "super low" springs from them and all they were, were stiffer than the factory ones and the same hieght so i got 60mm shorter ones made with the same spring rate and it's all sweet.. i think i paid $200-$250 for the lot. What ever you do don't any Pedders crap
