  1. I've had my R30 for close to five years now and bought it in just about perfect condition for very, very cheap and was offered a bit over double what i paid a few weeks after buying it... So they're are a very sort after car but only by people who know what they are... i don't think i'd ever sell mine unless some offered me a rediculous price for it and with a Ford GT Phase 3 selling for a tad over $500 000 down here in Melbourne at auction recently, rare or sort after cars can be a good investment in the long run....
  2. haha puts a whole new meaning to "classic".. haha that littel thing looks like it would be a handful in the wet but a still a bit of fun!!
  3. Cheers for the advice.. it seems like it will be a hell of a lot easier to just get an R31 kit and make it fit if it won't. Or even get someone in Australia with the front/rear bar i want, borrow it and get a mold made for the same price and make the costs back by fabricating kits for any other R30 enthusiasts
  4. Not one R30 in the Victorian SAU.. I might have to join and be the only one then...
  5. might be an idea to PM Mag86 as he is working on a L24 project at the moment and is sussing out injectors and the like...
  6. currency exchange rate fluctuate and theirs wasn't up to date with accurate rates... but still it gives you a rough figure.. know of any good bodywork shops?
  7. cheers... it's a GST2 copy for the R31's... nice kit, might give the guy a call
  8. no where near as good as this one!!!!! >>>
  9. A while back we had someone trying to tell us that she had a "factory GTR30" which of course is a bit strange..... she disappeared before we could get any photos, but if anyone knows of this "Julie" that may or may not have something special, please let us know.... see thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=69285
  10. I wanna see this clip can someone post the link again.. last one was taken off you tube.. probably by the cops.... i wanna see this supposed R30 in there.. Plus if you get caught doing something stupid on the road you're the dumb ass for getting caught... Do you home work kids
  11. that calculator isn't accurate.. i used www.x-rates.com for an accurate up to date currency calc and it was roughly $200 Oz not including freight. The guy won't dispatch overseas anyway... spewin
  12. Looking for anyone in Oz who may have or know of somewhere i can get my hands on an after market front, and possibly rear spoiler for my R30 import?
  13. Cheers Paul, i found one for 20,000Y roughly $200 Oz but whats the deal with the freight/shipping, has any one bought stuff from there and had it shipped?
  14. R200 out of a 280/260/240Z should be a goer
  15. Spend the dollars and go Z32 4spots up front and 2's in the rear and go the five stud conversion if you're going a bigger rim size and want the thing to stop quicker than go kart
  16. If registration wasn't an issue and neither was money I'd have my way with the R30 4dr i have. Stripped to rolling shell and bare metal respray with a custom kit $8K half cage Z32 4/2piston brakes all round with a five stud conversion and 17inch rims camber and castor kits, sway bars, strut braces RB26DETT with a single turbo conversion plus some other bolt on fruit RB25 gear box built tough then with the spare L20ET i would get my hands on a 240Z bomb out the L6 with; a hybrid T3 forged pistons and metal head gasket tubular exhaust manifold intake ported and polished larger injectors and management stripped interior with a full cage motorsport option 1 gear box or and RB one and set the beast up for rally events
  17. ahh i see... but don't you have a stagea?
  18. Thats what i'm thinking too. have sussed out from a few body shops that anything is possible and that it wouldn't be too difficult to fit a R31 kit (aussie spec, or after market) but would ultimately love an aftermarket R30 kit
  19. i meant to specify "after market" not genuine.. sorry about that. and the parts department thread is a good one, but has anyone been in my situation and has bought a front/rear bar or an entire kit for an R30>?
  20. - Nissco (1600 workshop) - 2 halbert Road Bayswater North. www.nissco.com.au these guys have been very helpful and know their stuff when it comes to Nissans... One of the young guys out there used to have a DR30 but sold it just before i started taking my car there. Well priced, won't rip you off, and do quality work. Two thumbs up for these guys.. They have a shit load of 1600's out there too
  21. Sorry, you have an HR30 with an L20ET and live down this way>? are you going on some cruise this Friday in Melbourne?
  22. hahah schematics for a drop down seat.... just bung the bloody thing in and if it doesn't fit, MAKE IT otherwise throw it away!!
  23. Anyone in Vic know of some good painters to take on a full body restoration that they can vouch for?? Looking to strip the whole car down to rolling shell and bare metal most of the car and start from there.... another thing, on the same topic.... Body kits for R30's anyone heard of an Australian distributor of genuine R30 kits? tried tracking one down a long time ago and the generally answer was that the only way to get a genuine kit for the car was to import a car with one already fitted... There has to be another way... Anyone had fiberglass mold of their kit done in Australia?
  24. why would you want split seats in the back anyway?
  25. you buying it?? thought you were doing the L24et in the coupe??? did you win the lotto or something??
