Hey im not really handy with tools and car parts and such but i want to replace my steering wheel with a nice wood grain one as its starting to peel... Is this a fairly easy process to do? Can i just buy a steering wheel and do it myself at home or should it be done by somoene who knows what they are doing? Basically how hard is it?

Ive called racq, nrma, budget, and suncorp, all of them either wont ensure me cause im under 25 (23) or cause its an import. I will call some of the companies mentioned in this thread on Monday, but anything over $1000 and i dont think i will be able to afford it??!?!? For someone with experience how much should i expect to pay?

I am moving to Australia End of November, (sunshine coast) and am looking for a car possibly similar to a skyline, silvia, 180sx etc. Manual, 2 door and non turbo for insurance reasons... I have looked at many sites and carsales.com etc. Can someone give me a reasonable answer can i expect to get anything decent for 5-6k cash?
