Think you'll find it's just there's more people able to search for them now (not just USA), much easier to search yahoo, various ebay's & foreign car forums than ever before. Just means you need to be on your game & search very often if your hunting hard to find items. Also helps to tell friends what your after, makes life a lot easier.
You missed my point, there is no 2" rule in vic (does it even exist anywhere?). Just trying to clarify its a make believe rule so people don't get caught out by it.
But yes as you said you can go up as many inches as you like in wheel size as long as you reduce sidewall height to keep rolling diameter in check.
If only using it for track work then race import it, need a cams license though. Could possibly bring it in via personal import also though would need rwc this way. Talk to any of the brokers on here, they'll sort you out. Iron Chef, J-spec, etc
In the normal for sale ads you must list a price but trader section this seems to not apply, any particular reason for this? Some traders have no problem listing prices but others never seem to list any. Just end up up with a thread full of people requesting a price & constant "pm sent"replies.
What about the alcon kits a load of guys were getting from jdl in the UK a while back, was a decent thread on them here. Sounded like a good option so might be worth a search.
Yes motor appears different, missing S1 valley cover & plaque on front of motor. Has gained a nismo oil cap. Also missing R tune air intake & carbon radiator cooling panel. Coilovers have also been changed. Very shifty...
nah unfortunately not, too much going on with 18 mth old & moving in / reno-ing a new place. Plus other than right now work tends to be pretty flat out consistently.
keep your eye on on the US forums, there's 3 or 4 builds currently getting them installed so hopefully have some results soon. Regardless hope your back up & running soon mate
dang, good old chinese casting.
Not worth a change while everything's out? Maybe those new Ash manifolds? Not purchased direct obviously but a couple of the traders seem to be getting stock now. Dane (Houston) has advertised a couple sets not too long ago. http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=classified&msg_id=177015&forum=classified&dtSearch=22
bronze lmgt4 are also anodised not painted, if your going to run flat caps with them might be worth painting some at the same time otherwise very hard to match
re: weights, this attachment is the nismo info pdf of lmgt4 sizes/costs & includes the weights. Not all sizes that were available are listed but most are.

RACV do a "Veteran, vintage & classic" cover too in Vic, I've got it for my 300. Around a third of the premium I was paying with Shannons with lower excess & higher agreed value.
Worth a call
Like op said, LM-GTMAG was only ever sold in 18x10+20, if your seeing different sizes they're LM-GT4. Has been a few sets go through recently though.
Very nice wheels op, glws
