The red VW XL1 is actually a production car now not a concept & is currently being sold in Europe. Full carbon construction & consumption of 1L per 100km. Looks a lot better in silver or white too. Nice photos too, would love to do tokyo motor show!

Firstly a disclaimer, I'm not super educated on what fits an r33, but my first impression would be they're a bit narrow. Pretty sure the fronts would be narrower than your stock wheels. Great choice of wheels though, good luck with the search!

Definitely worth a holiday, just google german castles there's some amazing ones here! Based in Frankfurt till chrissy so going to try & catch a few more before we come home, should look epic with a bit of snow on them too!

Coming from Melb's it's a completely different landscape over here, just awesome. Castle is called Burg Eltz & is just out of Koblenz in Germany, third photo is the ruins of Heidelberg castle.

ah good old fashioned internet advise from non owners, they're as reliable as any other 20 year old car, it just comes down to making sure you do the proper maintenance. Make sure the cooling system is in good working order & don't skip fluid/filter changes, make sure the 100k km service is done & worth doing a plenum pull. Simple common sense stuff. Jump onto aus300zx.com & have a bit of a read up there for all your answers

question, do any of these parts make it onto the car at the moment or are you acquiring everything before tearing in? Lots of box shots but don't see anything fitted? Surely that'd drive you crazy with anticipation...

The temporary permits thing sounds familiar & would definitely be worth investigating further. You may be able to import it via sevs (same process as us importing from Japan) or another option is a 'personal import'. This allows you to bring your vehicle across to Australia & avoids a lot of the costs & restrictions normally placed on importing a vehicle (such as importing a vehicle that was sold locally). You need to be relocating or returning to Australia but, & here's where I think you'll have an issue, I believe you need to have owned the car for 12 months prior to bringing it over. Member Iron Chef on here is very popular & has a uk business too, 'Iron Lady Imports' & would be well worth contacting.
