  1. anything z32, pm please. Also bnr32 coilovers, could be tempted by quality ones...
  2. haha Roy I've been torturing myself trolling car sales sites since I got here but as this was a 'short' contract just never ended up happening, next one should be longer hopefully so planning on grabbing something a bit higher end as a personal import out of the uk. Was nothing wrong with driving to nurburg, even the carpark emptied in about 25min. Just meant no beers in the sun but did see some cracking roads on the way in/out. Shame about all the traffic then... Have a mate that lives in Brussel's who's super keen to do spa & camp but think I'll be home for a couple weeks at that point
  3. first euro gp under my belt & fark me what a cracking day! Had some really nice seats in t11 & the weather was awesome, was really shattered after marks pit lane debacle, was really hoping he'd be racing for the win since I'd come all this way... Hot tip for anyone doing it in future, if you decide to stay in cologne as many seem to (& we did) it's an absolute mission to get to the burger ring without driving. We ended up renting a car & did it in about an hour & a half as the other option was 2 trains, 2 buses & close to 3 hours! Could've been there quicker but the gps was a bit 'scenic'. Efficient germans my arse. Anywho, home now, beers are cracked & just need to find a replay to watch!
  4. ^agreed, I'd be cautious taking any suspension advice from this guy as he clearly has no idea what he's talking about. Just for fun google the popular brand name coilovers (so not all the chinese/korean/taiwan ones with 12/10) & see what the spring rates are...
  5. german gp tickets booked, can't wait!
  6. One of several hundred from the weekend, Vatican City Pano as the storms roll in Europe photo's look fantastic Matt, congrat's too!
  7. Very nice, was watching these even though I don't have anything to put them on! Went for a decent price too, congrats! Another vote for leave them silver, will look excellent against the bsb. Only tip would be to change centre caps, go the flat caps in the diamond cut finish as per my sig. Jesse streeter sorted mine for a good price
  8. What style, colour are you after? I have a pair of bronze flat caps, brand new in box if your interested. Fit lmgt4 17 & 18's and I think ce28's too. Double check fitament though.
  9. He shouldn't have to pay any gst if he's buying it from a chinese company, only if he buys it via an australian company (which it doesn't sound like he'd be doing). Import duty's a given though.
  10. wow that lake view looks awesome! Only suggestion, perhaps rotate slightly so edge of lake runs horizontally? Couple quickies from last weekend spent in Zurich cheers, Tim
  11. No snow now, springs arrived!

  14. somebody buy the set of magnesium lmgt4 (lmgtmag) on yahoo at the moment, 18x10+20 & rare as fark!
  15. hmmm, i appear to have been misinformed, german gp still at the burger ring after all. So that's settled then, I'm going!
  16. Thanks guys, have got me thinking now. German gp's pretty much a lock in because I'm here already, Hungary looking mighty tempting too as it lines up perfectly with the end of my contract. British & Monaco are also being considered, could be a great year of watching motorsport! Also keen to try & get across for goodwood but need to check my dates. Have to be back in aus for August so unfortunately Belgian Gp is out which is unlucky as had free accom with a mate sorted. thanks again for the suggestions guys, if anyone can recommend specific stands fire away, I'm all ears
  17. right, streaming worked great but next big question time. I'm based out of germany for work for the next few months & I need me some real life gp's. Who's been where & whats recommended? Will be myself & my wife, looking for stands & happy to fly or drive out of germany. Shattered the german gp's been moved to cologne this year too but will probably still go. cheers, Tim
  18. I'm running 275's on my 19x9.5" lmgt4's, no problems what so ever
  19. thanks guys, will give the vipbox one a go
  20. help a guy out, based in germany at the moment but want to watch the race & some quali highlights, recommendations for streaming?
  21. there's a set of the black limited editions on yahoo now but look to be missing the special centre caps
  22. Yeah heat lamps going to be slow haha! Cheap pie oven off ebay is the way to go, otherwise plan b is a microwave. Again probably better to find a used one as chavant's got a fair bit of sulfur in it so don't really want to be cooking food in it after. Just do little bits at a time in a container, you'll have to use trial & error though to suss out how long for. Should be heaps quicker than the lamp. As for tape there's 4 types used in my thread. Black tape is photographic tape, should be fairly easy to track down & comes in heaps of widths. Green tape is a 3m masking tape & works brilliant around tight radius's but shouldn't be a huge issue for you doing a guard. It sticks the best out of all of them though. The light brown & blue tapes are both like a rice tape, blue is a brand called kamoi & the brown is nichiban.
  23. cool mate, sounds like the way to go then. & at least a course like that your trained up in design, alias, model making, etc so really opens your options career wise. Chavant's what we used at Ford & what I used for my wing, you'll get a good result with that. It's very hard & you can get a really nice surface with it. What are you using to heat it up before applying? I bought an old pie oven which worked great, nice & cheap & can get it up to 65 degrees fairly quick. Stanley surforms are pretty good for roughing in the shape, might be worth grabbing a couple different ones from your local hardware shop. So how'd you source your clay, is there suppliers over there or is it through uni?
  24. Where are you located? If vic I'd suggest trying to get into industrial design at Monash Uni's Caulfield campus, that's the path I took. Studied Industrial Design & specialised in transport design. Monash are actually the only place in the country where you will be taught clay modelling as part of your course, Holden helped set up a clay room & your actually taught by their chief of modelling Mike Chester (now former, stepped aside a couple months back). Personally the plan was always to be an automotive designer but come graduation nobody was hiring designers but Ford wanted a clay modeller, I'd really enjoyed making my quarter scale model & was recommended to them (as was a mate) & we both ended up with jobs. Haven't looked back, did nearly 6 years with Ford & now working for VW. A lot more scope to travel as a modeller & better coin. That said I still sketch a little, just in case... Not too sure what 3D design involves, is that your uni's version of product design or are we talking a more comp based course? Could be perfect if your taught Alias modelling & looking to go down that path. Plenty of work, plenty of travel & again good coin. Definitely more relevant than architecture though! Check out my build thread on aus300zx, has got the full process of my spoiler documented & shows you some of the tools used. http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=317619&highlight=journal Are you using automotive clay (kolb, chavent, etc) or is it something different? & any questions mate just fire away.
  25. Well doubt you'll find a new set anywhere so your best bet would be checking out yahoo auctions, few sets on there at the moment so just a matter of watching for the sizes, colour & condition you want then getting your bid on
