  1. Cool mate, thought it looked familiar! I'm actually a clay modeller, I've done something similar making a spoiler for my z32. Its sitting in the mold now but just need the time to remove the clay & make a part. Finally dawned on me that I was making entire cars at work, shouldn't be too hard to do a spoiler! Do you have any experience clay modelling or is this your first project? cheers, Tim
  2. is that bog or clay? Great work on the engine bay too, looking awesome so far
  3. I'm a fan, first decent looking car they've put out in ages. Above view isn't its best but I'm really loving it from a front three quarter angle. A mate at work worked on it too so that gets it over the line in my book. Zonda's definitely up there as one of my all time fav designs too, much nicer than the new huayra
  4. advan gt's, very nice looking wheel
  5. your tomei covers are the blue like above correct? If so go the black wrinkle, pretty much the only choice other than leave as is. If engine covers were red though red wrinkle would be the way to go.
  6. They're Hipermax 2's if the sticker says 'damper'. Also pretty sure that's not an adjustment point at the base of the shocks & you shouldn't be un-doing it. Pretty sure it's a valve cap for the Schraedar valve & is for recharging with nitrogen. The only adjustment is using an allen key tool in the top, centre of the shock & as they're hipermax 2's you should have 30 clicks of adjustment.
  7. Anyone have any tips for shooting / post processing with snow? It's entirely new for me & need to learn quick smart as I'm seeing plenty of it! cheers, Tim
  8. The owners a member on aus300zx.com, plenty of guys there have bought from him. But yeah they're definately fakes. If your after some quality nuts check out the Mcgard splinedrives, forged steel & a decent theft deterrent. They supply to work, bbs, etc. Can be had pretty cheap off amazon.com
  9. yes they are, unless there's a specific part I'm missing they sell everything for the z32 & it looks like plenty for the r35... edit: in fact this is what your after isn't it? http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=9507&Car_Type=GTR&UID=2013012823254662.157.39.105
  10. would suggest contacting Concept Z Performance in the US, stillen are shocking for customer service. Coz (the owner) is very prompt to reply, shipping very quick & they stock r35 gear too. CZP & Z1 (also worth an email) are the top US sellers for 'Z' chassis cars, check aus300zx.com if your after feedback on either.
  11. If you do go down the path of suspension arms, etc check out the SPL gear out of the states. Top shelf stuff & all their z32 gear will work for you. Also, love your build!
  12. How is it stupid? As far as I'm aware the only difference is a 5% import tariff & that only applies for cars made in countries that don't have a free trade agreement with Australia. & every other country does the same thing with our tariff's being some of the lowest. Then like every other country with an automotive manufacturing industry the government provides grants / incentives / whatever to go towards retaining the manufacturing / developing new models & tech. I work in automotive design & although those departments are tiny compared to the manufacturing side of things your still talking about a hell of a lot of jobs. Then factor in all the other departments, plus manufacturing, plus all the component manufacturers, their material suppliers, etc it very quickly equals a huge number of jobs.
  13. was wondering what you were on about with the title, tyres make much more sense! So you don't want stretch, good move, my nismo's are 19x9.5+30 all round & came fitted with 245/35/19. Just enough stretch that the previous owner managed to scuff the passenger side ones, have now swapped the rears to 275/30/19 which has a nice square sidewall & plenty of protection. Fronts will most likely be going to a 255/30/19 after chrissy. So decoding tyre sizing, for example 245/35/19. The '245' refers to the width of the tread (245mm), the '35' means the sidewall is 35% of the size of the tread (so 35% of 245 = 85.75mm) & the '19' means its a 19 inch tyre. As far as what you can fit you might need clarification from someone with an r34 but for the fronts I'd be considering a 235/35/19 or 245/35/19 and for the rears a 265/30/19 or 275/30/19. May need a roll for the 275, I did, but again check with someone else with a 34.

    R34s...please!

  15. Another worth looking at is SPL out of the states, they mainly do Z & S chassis gear but if it fits z32 it will fit r32. I'm running their front tension rods & rear camber arms & traction rods, top shelf products. Can be bought from concept Z & Z1 as well as spl themselves.
  16. have you seen the brake group buy thats running at the moment? Probably a better option if your happy with these sort of kits
  17. if you already have the gloss finish carbon parts why not just get them hit with a matte or satin clear coat?
  18. Disagree, sold similar sized set for similar money earlier this year, paid decent bit more for current set. Good luck with sale OP
  19. Have a pair of stock rotors, located in s.e. suburbs. Pm me an offer if your interested. Otherwise another vote for GSL if your buying new.

  23. yeah but first line on the website, "Welcome to Varrstoen Wheels Australia, the official importer and distributor for Australia". Not an australian brand, just a local distributor. Every brand has this.
  24. huh, what australian brand?
