  1. guys, need a the motor for a series one electric window. just helping a mate out....NEED IT FOR DRIVERS SIDE...not sure if either side is different...but if anyone knows..then your help would be apprecaited. he currently cannot open his window so its needed ASAP.   4. not at all....i was considering replacing the spark plugs again and redoing the gaps because im not 100% on the idle...but thats me..i did a compression test and the biggest gap was 1psi between all 6 cylinders (in other words) a smooth motor. if your interested PM me, i think getting rego is hardest in NSW. where are u? im in NSW and its a pain trying to rego a another car from interstate. Man SA is supposed to be the easiest, you guys dont get annual inspections, PLUS there is nothing wrong on this car for it to not pass inspection. cheers, daniel

The car definately has a SIGNIFICANT increase in power since re fitting the standard coils and the new EGI harness and would definately make more power again. This change also has allowed the car to run well on 20 psi for the past 3 months, although a followup dyno run is yet to be completed. About the car/owner: *Theres a few chips here and there on the exterior, but reasonable for a car of its age. *Has a ripple on the rear 1/4 wheel arch. I bought the car like this and it didnt bother me to the extent where i felt like it needed to be fixed. *Has beautiful Acceleration! Hits 20psi @ 3200 - 3800 rpm depending on what gear your in. *Always warmed up in the mornings *Always use BP Ultimate fuel *Have used mostly Castrol GTX3 for the 1.5 years ive owned it and have serviced every 5k or less.   11. sorry guys, just thought i would ask while ur discussing....my mates got a top end knock (well i think it is) in his r33 rb25, so u reckon its cause the valves dont seat then they have too much clearance and you get the knock at top of engine? if so....wats the best thing to do to fix it? and how much? cheers guys,

  16. Ladies and Gents, Straight out, im selling my car because im at uni, 4 days a week, and i work 2 days on top. And the other day i play rep soccer. In summary i got no time for it. I love the car, goes very well. paint is great condition but it does have the little door dings. Its original so what car wouldnt have those dings. The motor is mechanically sound as the previous owner had the motor rebuilt along with forged pistons and rods, im unsure of whether the head is std. I did a compression test and my results have been posted sumwhere on this site....they were 146, 146, 147, 146,145,146 so to me and my mechanic mates, and thos guys off the forum, thats a great result. IT was tuned 3 months ago by C&V performance in Sydney and it got 209kw atw on 15 or 16psi. the turbo is a GCG highflow. im not posting all details on here, my car is on carsales and here is the link http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...20South%20Wales LOL...just copy the whole thing above as the url. Im sad to see it for sale, but as i said i cant afford to keep a car in my position that i hardly drive. Im asking 14,500 ONO as is, but i got a set original M-spec side skirts and rear pods that are not on the car aswell to throw in. NOW...i know that the figures are all exact, im asking is it a std head gasket u reckon? or after market thing..u know the ones that u use to reduce compression or watever... so yeh...wondering??? wat u think? cheers for the replies boys
  19. guys, im in a bit of confusion....i bought my r32 skyline bout 6 months ago. the guy i bought it off said he has the motor rebuilt with forged pistons, rods. The turbo is a GCG high flow, fuel reg twin plate clutch, r33 gear box. front mount...bla bla. Now i bought it with std ecu as the previous owner took out the powerfc...i said i didnt care..BUT I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT WITH IT!! FARK... i saw the dyno sheet...he produced with the above setup plus poiwer fc on 15psi 230kw roughly done by CNV performance. i havent got the sheet now but yer. with my understanding the GCG highflow can handle roughly 20 psi -22psi... am i right? anyways to the point.... i did a compression test on the engine 2 months ago and got a reading or 146 145 146 146 147 146, now to me if the engine is warn out then yes the compressions would be low but different. So when taking into account with the guy saying the motor has been rebuilt...would he have put a different head gasket on it to reduce the compression??? what u guys think? i haven got the guys number...otherwise i would ring the nob... any help would be great... thanks, daniel
  20. hey guys, how hard is it to replace the timing belt in an rb20det? i bought the car with 105,000, but the guy before me only had it for another 10,000 andf said he hadnt changed the timing belt? how can i tell if it has been replaced? if it needs replacing wat would it cost me to replace including labour? cheers, daniel
