Is the CD009 similar length from bell to shifter? car will just be for the street with the odd track day. It’s RB30det, and weighs about 1000kg

FS5R30A the nav box isn’t it? I did think about those. Any issues? I wondered if the bell housing off an rb30 patrol would work as they are the same gearbox but with a transfer I believe.

What is the go to gearbox these days for a RWD RB? Back in the day VG TT boxes were cheap and strong. Seems they are as expensive as an RB25 box these days. What are the options without remortgaging the house?

Hi all, does anyone happen to have a base map for an e11v2 they could share with me? I had this ecu sitting around so put it on a rb25/30 Datsun I have here but it has no map loaded. rb25 map would work to get it going too. 650cc injectors ideally but anything will be a good start. I know it’s an old ecu, and I’ll probably replace it in time but I’d like to get this going as a start cheers

A 5 year old AR5 which is just as strong as an rb25 box is $200 from the wreckers. Then you just need a $600 adapter

Ha anyone used a Toyota r series gearbox on their RB? I see you can buy a bellhousing to suit an rb, so wondering if anyone has done it? The AR5 boxes are cheap and are the same as a R154, the bellhousing was around 600. Possibly a cheaper option than an rb25 box or z32 box these days

Nice. I like it. I work in a machine shop so I could just mill that section of the deck away. I like the idea of 6mm of thread. Did you tap it 1/8 bsp same as the oil sender? Did you get that hose made at a hydraulics place?

Lol nah man not blowing smoke out ur ass. Keep getting sidetracked every time I try to respond haha. So that looks like it goes down just in front of the solenoid does it? Have you had it going yet? Looks good. I like the idea of having a bit more meat there to tap

Im sure this has been covered a few times, but last time i built an RB30 i deleted VCT. I want to use it this time. I see some people say to just drill and tap into the gallery on the head, and others weld a -3 fitting. Trying to figure out the best way to go. How thick is the aluminium before you get to the gallery? If its thick enough i guess a tapered thread is fine but wasnt sure if a weld on fitting would be better.

Had plenty of compliments and a couple of lowballers but no reasonable offers. Think I'd rather keep it and sell the wife's car than sell dirt cheap. Time to keep going with the project. Thanks anyway guys. -

Hi all. I am looking to sell or even better swap my 89 Pintara wagon I've just recently rebuilt it and im still running it in. I had some big plans for it so it was built right and built to last. I was planning on trying to squeeze around the 350RWKW mark out of it on E85 but there is no reason why it shouldn't handle more. The only thing that should hold it back would be the stock exh manifold. Mod list: S1 rb25 rebuilt literally a few weeks ago. Eagle h beams Cp 86.5 forgies Acl race series mains and big ends Arp head studs and rod bolts Head rebuilt with new seals etc all Nissan stuff. 800cc injectors Atr43g3 internal wastegate Full 3" exhaust Clutch is custom exedy sports tuff but with modified pivot point and ceramic button plate Rb25 turbo box Bw lsd with 28 spline axles Tein front camber adjustable coilovers King springs in rear Full rose jointed castor arms etc R33 brakes Gts wheels (r31) Walbro 460l e85 pump Haltech e11v2 Car looks completely stock apart from wheels. Stock interior, the lot. In fact I have been pulled over for rbt and they haven't even looked at the car. I did a road tune and 500km on 98 and have done another road tune and so far 400km on E85. Almost ready to put it on the dyno and go for it. It has r31 GTS wheels and brand n rubber. I can send pics of engine build etc if required. Awesome car for someone who wants a quick car but also needs Something that is a bit practical and can take kids. Has tow bar etc. Fully engineered and legal. Passed RWC/Pink slip 2 weeks ago and just put 6 months rego on it. Only reason i am selling because i need a 4WD. TBH i have no idea what its worth so im going to say $7000 and offers from there. Also be keen to swap for a 4WD. I will get more photos and put them up when the weather clears up.
