Ok sweet. I've personally always used Garrett GT series on my cars and never had a drama but I suppose everyone has different experiences. R31nismoid, how much difference would you say there would be in the 2? I want to weigh up cost vs gains really. Id rather do it once and do it right, but at the same time I always go way over the top with these things. I don't want to go HG internal gate etc and then have to go back and change it when its not enough for me but I don't want to spend a crap load of $ on something I don't need either.

Ok so I have been out of the Nissan scene for a couple of years and things have changed. Last time I did a rb30 conversion i ran a gt35r .82 rear. I now drive a pintara with a stock rb25 that is getting a bit tired and blowing some smoke. I'm now getting everything together to do a 3l conversion. Nothing too full on, forged bottom end, New ecu injectors etc. Aiming for around 300rwkw. Only thing I can't decide on is a turbo. This is my daily driver and I just want a good streetable power curve. Ive read countless threads and posts but now im just more confused. I'm between a 3037r and a hypergear. Any opinions on the better street setup would be appreciated. Also, I'm setting up for e85.

I think you will find a patrol sump will fit. Pop the brass plug out from underneath and reuse in the other hole -

There is 2 holes. 1 front 1 back. If you want to swap,remove the brass plug out of the unused one and swap it with the dipstick. -

From the household P plater: It depends on when you got your P1 licence. Befor 01 May 2005 & havent had any suspensions or loss of licence you may drive anything you wish. After 01 May 2005 you are restricted to what you can drive but you make seek an excemtion(spl) from the RTA for the sum of $40 if this car is your only mode of transport to & from your place of work. Im looking to buy a R34 GT semi auto for my girlfriend just having a little trouble finding one thats already in the country & one that she likes. Prefer one thats a 2000 model or younger, two doors & with little no mods. Something that she can make her own. Thanks in advance. Luke.

Thanks buddy.yep rust free 240's are definatly getting pretty pricey these days..(yep the 14's are a lot of fun lol) the pistons are just rb30e's.just cast ones..prob 1 regret i do have is not putting forgies in but i didnt plan on going as far with it as i did..

It has had new floors,tail lights are good,rust been fixed in sills..small amount of rust in lh door.repacment skin can be bought from rare spares.. Knock in the tune?I dont understand why there would be any knock in the tune..if there was knock it wouldnt be tuned properly. 260z suspension with pedders gas shocks..the wheels are a whopping 14" and the brakes fit inside the by only millimeters..have toyota 4 pots for the front.direct bolt on to original mount cheers

Hey guys,i was going to sell this car a while ago but i decided not to ecause i love it but due to circumstances changing and needind a family car it is up for sale again,but this time it has to go,along with my GTR. I have a 1972 240z (2seater) it has an rb30 block that has been re-built just with linished std rods acl race bearings etc,head is a rb25det with the vvt deleted,it was re-built with stock cams 3 angle valve grind,new guides,arp studs etc. It has a greddy plenum with xf tb 550 cc injectors with custom top feed rail and SX regulator 300-600 custom cooler Garret GT35R with a 1.06 exh housing Tial external gate with screamer Microtech lt12-s with x-6 sequential ignition with bosch coils and magnicor leads Turbosmart e-boost2 (sleeper series) Custom 3" exhaust Big radiator VG30dett 5 speed(same as rb25 with better ratios) Custom tailshaft R32 lsd with custom en26 axels and V8 commodore cvs Custom rear disk conversion Autometer gauges 044 pump with surge tank etc Electric water pump and thermo fan I did the usual 1000 km run in then took the car to the dyno and made 320 hp @ the wheels on 10psi the tuner told me it easily has potential to make 500+rwhp with more boost but to drive it for a while to get used to it first.. At the moment it is midway through being painted,i figure it is better to sell as is in primer so the new owner can choose the colour but if i cant sell it i will paint it then sell it. I was driving this car to work ever day prior to taking it off the road for paint and it is a pretty good car to drive but to be honest it isnt really the type of car i would use as my only mode of transport. This will be a really cool car when done and i hate to see it go but you gotta do what you gotta do. It would benefit a lot from a roll cage which my engeneer has given the ok to put in on the street..The whole thing has gotten the nod from the engineer it just has to be taken to him once painted so he can write it all up..it is currently engineered with an rb20 so the rb30 is just an update on the current engeneers report.Unfortunatly i let it run out of rego a few months ago ut it will have no probs passing.plates come with it GTR 240 If you have a look around you will see that a standard 240z is worth 10-20k these days depending on condition so i am asking 13k but am open to offers..it owes me more than double that.will post better pics soon. for more details pm or ring luke 0410497808

Hey.My plan was to keep this car but my circumstances just changed so both my cars are for sale so i can buy a family car. I have a 1990 model white GTR.It has done 1100 kms since a full rebuild.The plan was to keep the car so i did the build properly.It has new r33 crank n1 oil pump cp pistons ACL race series bearings(bigends and mains) ARP rod bolts ARP head studs The block was tanked bored and honed etc. It has genuine N1 turbos on it which were rebuilt at the same time as the motor. Other things include HKS remote oil filter/cooler NISMO GMax red top twin plate clutch (near new) Coilovers 17"impul wheels 3.5" super drager exhaust It had a hks evc but it is not connected because it stuffed up and (way)overboosted the car before which caused detonation which was the cause of the rebuild as it broke a piston lol. The ecu has been re-chipped also. The car itself is IMMACULATE!It has 1 small scrape on the rh corner of the front bar other than that there is no dents,scratches or anything on it.It is honestly one of the neatest r32's i have seen and i looked at plenty before i bought this one. I also have the standard spoiler for it and it comes with the car but i just have it off coz i dont like it. The interior is almost perfect except for a little bit of sun damage to the top of the back seat.The steering wheel is like new,so are the pedals,no wear mark in the seat like most do,carpet perfect,center vent perfect. I am the only aus owner and have had it for almost 3 years. 11 months rego The clock says 76000 kms but if anyone believes the kms on an import they are an idiot lol. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN SWAPS ETC I have found the car i want to buy,i just need the money to buy it.It is a sad day for me but i need to sell this and my RB30DET 240z to fund the family car. I am asking $19500 and i am open to offers BUT NOT STUPID ONES i know GTR prices have turned to poo but i feel that is a fair price for a just run in GTR.. Sorry guys.Passed an emissions test this week,got it all engineered and fully legal..Had a power tune done yesterday and made 517rwhp..Couldnt bear to sell it now..I'll just try a bit harder to sell the gtr.
