  2. I have thick walled rectangle tubing from front to back in place of the chassis rails.but yeah i guess you are right about the weight SK,maybe seam weld the whole thing and put a cage in.

Hey guys..Just want to see what everyones opinions are.I have a 240z with a rb25/30 gt35r 1.06 exh,external gate,microtech,greddy plenum,injectors etc etc.Its stock internals but rebuilt with race series bearings,linished rods etc.Its making just a tad over 500rwhp... The car is about to twist its self in half.That much power is unusable in a rwd not to mention dangerous in a car weighing 1020kg.I could put slicks etc on but i dont really race it its just a cool street car so i dont want to. I have been trying to sell my 32 gtr for a while now and the market is dead.For the prices ive been offered id rather just keep it and put the 240z gear in it. Question is,do i put the 30 bottom end in (with the 26 head) and all the other gear (turbo,injectors,microtech etc) OR just freshen up the 26 and put the turbo etc on it.I love the torque of the 30 but i love the revs of the 26.Never driven/been in a 26 with decent size turbo/s etc (mine has n1's and they suck!). does the 4wd block adapter have any problems?how strong is the 30 block in 4wd form.obviously it will have more stress on it than in 2wd. Opinions?

Yeah the adjustment does only move the take up position,which you said is too close,so thats how you can adjust that.As for the suddenness of the take off,putting a bigger slave in will help a fair bit but you will pretty much just have to get used to it.Thats all just part of having a twin plate.
  6. They had a few at the time but that was over 6 months ago..not sure what year,they are all the same as long as its from a z32.Also i got one out of a na because they are both the same and i figured the the turbo ones would have copped more of a hard time than the na.
  7. Im pretty sure there is an adjustment on the rod that goes from the pedal to the slave.And ive had my os giken twin for 18months and i still spin the wheels on hillstarts sometimes.
  8. yeah exactly the same box..I've run full slicks on mine and launched it pretty hard and ive never had a problem.Admittedly ther would be a bit less stress on it because its in a fairly light 240z but i cant see it breaking..Same part code as rb25/26 boxes

The z32 vg30 boxes are the same also..i put one on my rb30det..just got the front (bell) section off a broken rb26 box and bolted it on.rear extension housing is a bit shorter but a rb25 one will go on if you want,i didnt bother im just using the vg30 one.Im making over 500rwhp and havnt had a problem.EKW in melb sell vg30 boxes for $550.

Ok this car was for sale on here a while ago..I had a buyer but the deal fell through because the buyer coulnt get finance..The car is immaculate..Its got Twin plate N1 spec turbos HKS remote oil filter and cooler Coilovers Re-chipped ecu It is a white 90 model..DEAD STRAIGHT..Not a scratch or dent on the whole car.76xxx kms which i think is true due to there being practicly zero wear on the steering wheel,pedals,seat,carpet etc. pics at www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/NISSAN/SKYLINE/New%20South%20Wales/2181985.aspx For more pics or info just pm me. $20500

  18. Yep,my twin plate does the same thing.perfectly normal.
  19. By keeping the hot side as hot as possible and the cool side as cool as possilbe you will reduce spool up time.Put a turbo beanie on it.They work great.
  20. Those injectors could be bigger.ive got 13bt 550's maxed out at 540rwhp in a rb30det thats with a LOT of fuel pressure..
  21. I think the 040 will be fine.They are rated at 500hp.but if you want to go bigger just put a 044 in with a filter sock on it in tank.They are rated at 720hp
  22. the flywheel bolts are a weird shape and a really fine thread and the pressure plate bolts have dowelling section on them so you will have to buy genuine.
  23. im after some discs and calipers off a r32 or r33 gtst or even a z32 300zx.doesnt really matter which one.
  24. are you running a lt12?in your manual you will have a wiring diagram,it will tell you which wire you have to use for an aux output.more than likely it will be the plain white one for the vvt.run one side of the vvt solenoid to 12v and the other side to that aux wire,then setup when it needs to switch on and off in your aux setup screen in the ecu..also try the microtechefi.com technical forums.
