Oi, I got a GFB BOV - How about you give me a knock on the door punk
  3. Someone organise somfin - I m bored shietless - who is keen right now who is on this thread to meet?
  4. Take it back to the workshop that did the work
  5. Do you have a t-piece for a boost gauge? check that - mine has split a couple of times and makes a high pitch squeel when it does - but i do notice a drop in boost pressure when that happens. maybe check intake manifold aswell? Not really sure what it could be.
  6. Sweet, Appreciate your help.
  7. Hey Dale, Don't know what you are on about with this manners crap but if you have miss interpreted my post I apologise - what I was trying to say was that I appreciate the knowledge of the people on this forum and the information they can give me to assist in the solving of the problems I have with my vehicle. Get me now?
  8. Yeh, I had to get a de-tune because coil packs were shorting when I was running 12-13 PSI around 245 RwkW so I de-tuned then got splitfires and installed. Then this actuator crap started and I was loosing pressure through the wastegate because of this friggen actuator - so i took a hammer and jemmi bar to the friggen thing to bend the rod and that then put enough pressure on the wastegate to keep it closed - so I am not loosing pressure anymore - but still is very laggy. I think maybe whatever pressure valve or thing that is activated to open the wastegate (maybe springs or something) are stuffed and sometimes she really comes on and other times it really goes like a bag of puss. Anyways I will buy a Stock actuator (Manhore) and see what improvement that gives me. Next friggen question for you bloody wizz kids.... How do you get the friggen actuator off?
  9. Sliding Hi-Flow..... I will replace the actuator just trying to establish if I should get a stock one or get HKS or something else that is aftermarket - only thing is I will need a re-tune if I get aftermarket and that sux. And from the stock point of view want to make sure the thing is reliable.
  10. GO TO CARLOVERS OR SIMILAR YOU CHEAP SKATES
  11. Brand new internals for the turbo - nothing that has not been replaced. Are the hi-flow turbos normally quite laggy or is that a myth?
  12. Hey there, I have an issue with the amount of lag and boost spike. I have had hi-flow turbo for rb25 installed. I have a rattle in the turbo - which I have discovered to be the waste gate flap hanging open due to a problem with the actuator. - Mercury told me that my actuator was stuffed - which it may be. I bent the actuator rod slightly to bring tension on the wastegate flap. I have noticed a slight improvement in building boost but I am only on around 7 PSI at around 3500 RPM. Which to me is pretty laggy. I have a bleed valve boost controller doo daddy and boost is set to 10 PSI. I checked that the bleed valve was not installed incorrectly - it looks fine. Besides the actuator, what other issues could their be that make the boost spool so laggy? Tune? Can't be turbo - it is practically brand new, any other ideas? Vaccume Leaks - Had smoke test done no leaks at all. HELP ME!!!
  13. Would pay someone $20 for a stock turbo actuator i good condition.
  14. I would say that the boys who are telling you it is the Actuator rod are absolutely correct, I had exactly the same problem after a hi-flow from Sliding - I also had sliding change the crack pressure on the actuator aswell. Naturally I was fairly surprised that their was a rattle after he had actually worked on the actuator. Thus when I was looking for the rattle - in similar fashion to old mate who posted this - disconnected pipe from dump to hi-flow cat and was hopeing to find remnants of the stock turbo - to no evail. I then decided to smack the rod with a hammer a few times - nothing - then got a jemmi bar levered off the block to slightly bend the rod - now the rattle has gone and their is no issue with the noise - though I do find the hi-flow to be quite laggy - which as I have read by others is fairly common with hi-flow turbs. Anyways Don't normally post much but this was just to similar to the situation I was in recently and couldn't help but reply. Cya
  15. looking for r33 4 door model - know where to get one?
  16. Where do I get a couple of SAU Jpegs or images of some sort to get stickers done?
  17. Dude, don't know about the number plates but I saw a car very similar to this one on Creek Rd in Carindale about 11pm Last night, it was turning right onto old cleveland rd. It had a spare tyre on the back left wheel...... one of those miniture wheels - is that your spare tyre or did you have a different profile spare?
  18. I have got r33 with several mods done to it. I have done one dyno run that hit 240 kw. The problem is that in the end i had to de-tune from this run because stock coil packs were forcing miss fire. What i need to know is, are the stock coil packs as a new stock coil (as in if i buy replacement stock coil packs new) pack reliable enough to run this sort of power or is my only option splitfire's?
  19. They are not to low? I am planning to upgrade to around 240 rwkw once i get new split fire coils. - this motor can handle that?
  20. HEY, GOT A COMPRESSION TEST DONE ON RB25DET - THEY WERE ALL AROUND 140-142 - ARE THESE RATIOS ANYTHING TO BE WORRIED ABOUT?
  21. Don't Know. Had it on the hoist when i disconnected the cat and checked the mounts and they were all on tight
  22. It is a constant rattle - from start up till shut down
  23. Hey, Got another one for yas! Got a noise in the exhaust. Had the whole exhaust system done about 4 months ago. It was done at formerly Hardcore Racing in moss street. about 2 weeks after the install I noticed this rattling noise. Checked it out and it sounded like it was coming from the mid pipe like some shards of turbo or something were blocked at the hi-flow cat. I disconnected the cat and found their to be no shards or anyhting forward of the cat. I then also noticed that one of the bolts where the turbo joins to the exhaust had been sheared off or was missing. Firstly, is it common for the RB25 to have this happen and second, could this possibly account for this rattling noise which like i said sounds like something like shards of metal flying around in the exhaust?
  24. Thanks for all the ideas guys, yeh i did mean at top end of the motor not trashing it when cold. It does go away when the enigne is warmed up so, i dare say it is the belt. Will monitor it and see what happens. Cheers boys.
  25. Just got a few mods done to my R33 GTST. Amongst these mods i had a gates racing timing belt installed. I now have a weird woop woop woop noise and think it may be the timing belt. Has anyone else got this noise when a change of timing belt has been done?
