  1. Every run i found it hard to get into 3rd.I couldnt get 3rd any higher than 6800rpm(7500rpm rev limit)so was changing at 6500.
  2. Very nice indeed! The T04Z is a great turbo for the 26 IMO.Big power to be had. Well done mate.
  3. You could prime the turbos with oil if you really wanted too.But i would just bolt them on,crank the car a few times(without starting it)just so the oil pump has some pressure in it.

  5. I had this problem,turned out to be the ACC valve,dont bother cleaning it,it didnt work for mine as it was stuffed. Not saying this is your problem.
  6. I always thought 12.5AFRs was a bit lean? Or is somewhere between 12.5 and 11.5 the sweet spot? EDIT: Nice curve though
  7. All depends on your power goal.The 550s you have now will support good numbers.I would only upgrade to something like 740s if you intending on reaching the high 300 atw mark.Saying that,i assume you have a good fuel pump?
  8. Firstly i should have said the motor will be built within the coming weeks. Brad: Ive been looking at getting a Haltech off a friend of mine.But failing that ill just run the Z32,people still run these with high 300s at the treads.But as you say its all in the tuning. EDIT:The GTR looks awesome in white And kinc(h)rome the GT3076 is a real turbo,and if you are the competent mechanic you say you are,this upgrade is well worth the hassal,if you cant add anything constructive to this thread,spend your time doing some reasearch before you make a complete plonk of yourself.

  11. Searching through the dyno results thread i couldnt find anyone who had pushed a GT3076 turbo over 20psi. Is 20+psi still in the GT3076 efficiency range? I will be bolting the .82 version on my car soon and want to run it at around its peak efficiency range. When would this turbo run out of puff?
  12. I found these parts from a performance parts seller in the US.Due to the ozzy dollar atm these parts are cheaper to get from overseas.I could even get CP pistons for just under 1000 bux delivered!.

  14. Make sure you enclose the pod in an airbox.You will notice a slight increase in response.Otherwise you are just sucking in hot air.

  18. Ill be running about 20psi through a GT3067(not all day ofcoarse) with a Tomei 1.2mm head gasket. So i think i might keep the stock 9.0:1

  20. The seller only sells the pistons in 87mm.So i think that the 40thou over will cover me incase of poor bores.If my bores are in good condiiton,would an engine builder charge more for the bores to get...Bored?
  21. I just ordered some Tomei pistons! Not from a workshop though.Will be picking them up while im over there.Saving on shipping,handling and insurance which turned out to be a hell of a saving. Will i need to worry about tax when taking them out of the country?
  22. To save heartache later on i would just get it rebuilt.I know 1100 bux will be a hard pill to swallow but its piece of mind that it has been done properly and you shouldnt have any further problems.

  24. 13 flat at 113mph.This was my first time out.Ran with crappy tyres. Can really compare it to a new time as the next time out the car will have a shit load more power
  25. Well i want to buy the pistons anyway.I should think 40thou over for the pistons should leave plenty of room for honing.
