$1364.48 for Tomei pistons. Is this a good price??
-
Hehehe i was just watching High Octane 2000 where you see reece in his blue 33. He sure has come along way since that 11.2 lol
-
Damn Richard how do you get into these places.
-
Im sure he could help you out.

The MCR gtr (R34) is fast,a very nice car.But you cant go passed the Mines car.Everything about it is just too good.
-
And the fact that the main policy behind MCRs cars is to make the fastest street car with all the options eg: Air con,sat nav, leather and cup holders lol Other tuning companies take all this stuff out.

Sounds like you got the most confusing HID kit out there. HID kit are piss easy to install. RED lead power BLACK lead earth thats all there should be. Connect the black lead to the earth on your headlight and the red to the back of the bulb then red and black to the ballast Done. Also 10,000k should be REALLY blue! I had 8,000k in mine and was too blue IMO So now just using the standard halogen bulbs. EDIT: I have never heard any ballast buzzing.Sounds like a poor quality kit to me.

RACESPEC do them.Just have a look at his "Lazer cut flanges thread". http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/La...mp-t190396.html

Finally! Testing The Hks 2510..... Whats Your Guess
NYTSKY replied to new blood's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
2860-5s Jeff remember! lol -
Thats awesome.40thou is heaps i cant see why my builder would want to hone more than that.Motor is in great condition.
-
The motor is not apart yet. I could only see that the seller only had the 87mm pistons,so i was wondering if this would be big enough, allowing for the bores to be honed. Stock bore in a RB25DET is 86.5mm isnt it? So having the 87mm pistons would allow for .5mm to be cleaned up. or is this a too small of a margin to go off.

R34/vg30 Turbine Exhaust Cover - On Gcg High Flow
NYTSKY replied to benl1981's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
3800 in first and say 3700 in all other gears. And yes if i go round a corner below 3000 there will be a second where im waiting for the boost to come back on.But mate that is normal. But really i dont see the need to bring full boost on in second as all i get is wheelspin when full boost comes on.And as we all know now in NSW wheelspin can carry a gaol term. EDIT:No turbo upgrade will ever have the same response as the stock one.IMO A highflow is the most basic turbo upgrade, and even that gives away in response. The fact you went for the 0P6 housing as i did was to have a bit more power in the top end. Thus result in lower engine response. -
Rb26dett Rebuild For Up To 350kw Atw....whats Needed?
NYTSKY replied to nsta's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just Jap seem to have a good price on CPs. -
I just found some Tomei pistons that i might purchase, but before i do i would like to ask some questions: Its for an RB25DET These are the specs of the pistons: Bore: 87.0mm (Will this be big enough? Allowing for the bore to be honed.Or will i need to go 20thou over?) Pin Dia: 21mm Recess: Nil Ring: Standard(I think this means they are not Titanium coated. But are still Tomei rings.) CHEERS

I have heard a place called Crystal on another thread,is this like the shop Autobacs? What is the differnce? Also does anyone have any address of some tuning shops in the Tokyo area(dont mind travelling a bit) All i know is so far is the Nismo Factory. Or better still send me a link of Google Maps showing exactly where it is,then i can just add it to my collection of places to see. If anyone who has read my little itinerary and would like to join me and my mate on any of the trips, dont hesitate to contact me. Has anyone noticed yet that i might be a little excited about the trip

As for turbos i would suggest GTSS replacements. -
Thanks mate,as always wicked info.I allowed 2 days at TAS just because of the size of the place, hoping to see as much as i can.But now knowing about the full Tsukuba circuit being open to drift, aswell as the fact there might be D1 drivers attending,it will be too much of an opportunity to pass up.Is it possible to see TAS in one day??

How To Get Rid Of Weird Reflections After Car Detailed?
NYTSKY replied to R33Turbo's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Those "reflections" you see is the product that you used to polish or wax your car. They were not removed properly.Did you polish or wax the car undercover? If you polish or wax the car in the sun or out in the open the product can be really hard to remove.Did you polish or wax your car in sections? You should never do the whole car in one hit, again the product will set too much onto the panel resulting in swirling or funny coloured "reflections". What steps did you take to detail your car? If you go through the run down on what you did im sure someone on here with detailing experience will know exactly what went wrong. Having a black car is a pain to detail to start with, and to answer your question about the removal of the "reflections" is to do a cut and polish, but make sure the car is undercover.Again black cars a more prone to drying quicker out in the open due to its colour. -
R34/vg30 Turbine Exhaust Cover - On Gcg High Flow
NYTSKY replied to benl1981's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have cams in mine aswell, and i dont see full boost (16psi) till 3800rpm.I think its normal with these sort of highflows as really the GT30 based wheels are cropped slightly to fit into the housings.Thats the price you pay for the bigger power gains you get from the bigger 0P6 housing. For example the GT3076 ill be putting on my car next month will have the same response as the highflow i have now.The GT3076 is much bigger than my highflow, its just the GT3076 is more efficient than a highflow. As a result ill get alot more power. -
Every car is different,so putting someone elses figures might not suit your car. If you have a boost gauge which i assume you do,its a matter of setting the EBC to number then go for a squirt round the block.See what boost says on the gauge, keep doing this till you reach your boost level. Its good to have a mate in the passenger seat. After that tune the EBC to how hard the boost hits the desired boost level, wether you want it to come on hard or gradually. EDIT: Or you could go to a tuning place and put it on the dyno, get them to set the EBC would cost you about $50-$100.

The event held at Tsukuba on the 19th of Jan looks to be some sort of amateur track work day.Ones like you can attend at eastern creek and oran park.As this will be the only day i can get to Tsukuba would this event be worth attending? I might still go. Dr1ft.jp can you tell me what will be happening at Fuji on the 16th of Jan and at Nikko on the 17th of Jan?
-
What will i expect to see at mobara and Honju? I have heard of drifting going on at Mobara but never heard of Honju. Are they both worth the trip out? Will there be a good turnout at both events?(weekdays?)

Cams Now Or Next Round?
NYTSKY replied to joeyjoejoejuniorshabadoo's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The 2835 has a fast spool compared to something like a 3037 which would benefit alot with cams. Cams with a 2835 would be really nice to drive and would produce some high numbers on the dyno. But i dont think it would be needed for you to enjoy the turbo. If i were you i would by some nice coilovers(thats what i would do anyway)
