  1. Yeh your right. How do i go about the whole mocking up process for a dump/screamer? Would i need to tow the car to my exhaust shop? Create a template of some sort and get it made up?
  2. Hi Col,your turbo was a GT30/40 wasnt it?
  3. Where do you get the drift mod for Rfactor?
  4. Meaning.Does the pipe off the wastegate need to be a certain length if going the screamer type? Or does it need to be plumbed in along the dump pipe at a certain point so i dont have any flow dramas? Ive heard if the wastegate pipe is plumbed in at a bend it can cause hassals. Correct me if im wrong.
  5. Hi all, I have purchased a Garrett GT3076 .82 turbo, along with GCG highmount manifold and Turbosmart ex gate.I was wondering if some members could post some pics of similar setup as so i can get an idea of how they have set their wastegate plumbing.Ive heard that this will be important to get right.I would like to go screamer option(until i get annoyed with it) for a while as the car will mostly be used for track days. Hoping to crack 300rwkw with this setup.I already have Poncams and will be running 18psi. The motor will be built in the coming weeks(months) as i gather the parts, but will still run the car with this turbo until i pull the motor out. Happy times. CHEERS P.S Lithium saw your car on YouTube, good to see both .63 and .82 comparisons.
  6. Ive played it and it was pretty average.
  7. I agree pro street is garbage, the best games for drift are gran Turismo 3 and forza 1. Im still trying to get the hang of Forza 2,but the cars seem to spin to easy, either you spin or you drift with hardly any angle. In GT3 i can get basically 90 degrees worth of angle in a drift, and drift entire coarses without spining, makes for great replays lol. If only they brought out a drifting game with the graphics and game speeed of say GT5 and the car control and handling of GT3. Still waiting. I hate games where you cant free rev a car while engaging the handbrake, kind of a clutch kicking affect.
  8. I have managed to get my hands on a Garrett GT3076,XTR topmount manifold from GCG and turbosmart external gate for a bargain price. So i wont be going the HKS 3037 route,$2500 for a turbo was a little rich for my blood. Im sure ill make the numbers with this setup though.
  9. Call GCG they will be able to answer all your questions.
  10. OH man that is good stuff.Would love to get to Tsukuba,Nikko and Maze circuits. We have to organize something!!!!
  11. Thats awesome will let you know.
  12. Ask MANWHORE he has just finished uni.If the pay is better than his current job he might be swayed.
  13. Sell the turbo if you can,how much power do you want to make?
  14. You havent really said how much power he wants. If he wants between 270-310rwkw(housing size depending) i would advise him to get this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-480HP-HKS-GT303...oQQcmdZViewItem
  15. Any chance of us going down to daikoku futo? I know its hard to get to without a car but im sure if we all share a taxi it would be ok. I would love to go if i could.
  16. What fittings would be best suited to a highmount GT30 setup? Banjo bolts or those 90 degree speedflow type fittings? Or is it much of a muchness?
  17. It will arrive at my place just before xmas, will post it up when it gets here.
  18. Can someone shed some light on the differences between the Gt3076 comp cover? .7 and .6 I have just picked up a GT3076 with .7 comp and .82 ex gate housing. (Has the anti surge cover if that makes any difference) How does the turbo differ in performance from the .6? CHEERS
  19. Where can you get ACL pistons from, at a good price these days? Do they come with rings?
  20. Can i ask why you would remove all the stuff you used to pass the car for emissions and db? If you get caught by the cops with out all that stuff you are going to get defected anyway.
  21. What exhaust did you use to get 89db stock?
  22. Hi all, When i get my car back next month i will be pulling the turbo off and will be sold, along with braided oil and water lines. I purchased an 0P6 housing and had it matched with my turbo. Then it was highflowed at Precision Turbos. Highflow consists of machined front and rear housings(maximum) Garrett Ball bearing cartridge.(will try and find the serial number for the cartridge) It also comes with braided oil and water lines. It has only been on the car for roughly 7000kms and is basically brand new. I made 250.9rwkw at 16psi with this turbo.Has alot more in it and wouldnt be suprised if it would make 270-280 with a bit more boost. The rear housing cost me $350 Braided lines $200 Highflowing of turbo $1550 Im asking $1650+post firm. Old turbo off new turbo on.... big power! NOW WITH FREE SILICONE INLET PIPE(second hand in excellent condition) Bass Junky type. Contact by PM. CHEERS
