I have a Apexi pod with a UAS alloy pod enclosure which is also lined with thermo mat.One day i was doin some work on the car and forgot to put the lid on the pod enclosure.Was driving around and noticed it was really sluggish onto boost.Couldnt put my finger on it.Drove the car for two days still the same.Popped the bonnet and saw it wasnt on there,put back on response returned. That was my experience with it.
  5. It all depends what you want to do with the car.But for all round you cant go past the tein stuff. $1421 is a bloody good price for the super street.I havent seen them that cheap. Care to PM me on where you get them for that price. Stay away from the G4 and HSD.Those adjustments arnt entirely acurate,and its more like 7-10 points of adjustment rather than 36. Also the spring rates are all over the place.
  6. BANG ON BRAD! Thats the way a full tune should be approched rather than a tuner tuning your car for an hour and taking your hard earned dollars.
  7. Or you could do what im doing. My first list of mods was your typical bolt on stuff ie: cooler,boost controller,dump pipe ect ect. Then when i purchased the Power Fc i got the car tuned.Car runs good with no missfire or economy issue. Im in the "second phase" of upgrades,just got a VG30 BB highflow,Profec B,Z32 AFM and poncams and Nismo injectors will arrive in the coming weeks.Once i have all the parts ill be taking the car to a tuner and getting all the mods and tune done at once. 1) It will work out a bit cheaper 2) Wont be worried about my car running rich/lean while driving it untuned. 3) I think its more rewarding to see your power level increase by leaps and bounds rather than spend a few hundred dollars on an upgrade then only seeing it only produces 5-10rwkw more. Also there are things you can find on a road tune that you cant on a dyno.Ive had two FC tunes so far and both of them had high knock readings at some part of the rev range.These were dyno only tunes.Next tune will be a $900-$1000 job as i want my tune perfect for the setup ill have,mainly because ill be leaving the engine mods alone for a bit to concentrate on brake,sus and diff. IMO
  8. 190rwkw at 14 psi? sounds low to me.but if you have just strapped a slide turbo on your stock car then i guess its ok.

Where did you get it engineered.Ive spoken to 2 guys that engineer cars and say that mine wont pass because i have a pod( fully enclosed alloy pod enclosure with thermo mat on the inside) and my intercooler wont pass even tho the hole cut doesnt go through any structual part of the car just the sheet metal. Can you give me a name and number?
  10. I put it in mine,it had it on the instructions on that diagram so i just put it in.If you follow the instructions you can build a house lol.
  11. How much was the Max gear oil/how many litres? What weight?
  12. I had the same problem with mine and only got worse.Problem was the ACC solinoid. You could try cleaning it but didnt do anything for mine.I tried the TPS,idle screw,nothing worked.Whole ACC was replaced problem solved.

  16. Im looking to buy some projector headlights for my R33.Ive found a site that sells them but its a bit pricey.Any idea where i might be able to find some at a cheaper price.   18. I booked it a few months in advance as it is sooo hard to book a day at the creek.I tried to organise one but the whole year has been booked.You need a letter from god to get in there.Buut ill keep trying for sure.
  19. Wow i had some quick times.Beating 3 WRxs and 1 STI.Maybe if i wasnt so hell bent on drifting the clover i could have had a shot at 1st. lol
  20. Dont know if you guys knew but i organised a skid pan day at Eastern creek.There were only 10 cars there which made for heaps of track time.
  21. I too did that,went on a 3rd untimed run at the cloverleaf,was pulling off some nice drifts until i hit the water then around i went with my foot welded in second....Smoke anyone?
  22. I thought it stood for Kelvin. The more Kelvin the more bluer the light.I had 8000K in my car before i got defected for them lol.

I must admit that run that chris did in that pic was bloody good.I initiated a drift as soon as i went through the gate of 8 cones onto the cloverleaf and held the drift all the way through except i missed second gear at the last cone which stuffed my run. DAMMIT! And ofcoarse everyone saw my brain snap in the final battle when i missed a section at the cloverleaf.
