I installed a apexi pod last nigh and i noticed a drop in torque slow spool and a general flatness in performance.Why so? My guess is that its sucking hot air. I have a Unique alloy CAI but when i tried to fit it,it seemed like i needed a FMIC cause the holes in it didnt line up. CHEERS Dave

OK in the past 2 weeks ive been defected 2 times.First time was for blow off valve. Second time was for exhaust and my HIDS. The first copper said my exhaust was fine but not to go any louder. The second copper was a prick and wrote me up anyway.Today i went to get it tested and i was 4DB over(shit) so i went and got a standard exhaust put on.But the thing is i have to give it back in two weeks(loaner) Seeing as my other exhaust was only 4DB over what can i do to it to make it quieter without comprimising flow.The standard system has robbed so much power out of my car its not funny.Can anyone in the same boat help me out?Options? Is there quiet high flowing systems on the market? CHEERS Dave

I have a bracket for the pod and the CAI is completly enclosed so i think ill be ok. CHEERS mate.

OK i have a pod ready to go in my car.I also bought an alloy CAI from Unique auto.Will i get a defect for running this setup? P.S Defected today for the second time.Not happy.

Ive been cleaning my garage and found these plugs: MOTOCRAFT PREMIUM DENSO serial no.SK20R11 They were in my mates XR6T for about a month.They look like iridiums. Will they be an "upgrade" so to speak in my R33? CHEERS Dave

Id like to hear from people who have the same mods i have and has bought a SAFC2.I guess if its tuned right i would expect smoother power delivery and ofcoarse an increase in KW. Hi all, After purchasing my R33 about 2 months ago now.I have followed some modification guides to get more from my car.And im wondering what to do next. Im not after huge power,just a nice consistant and reliable figure. So far mods include: 3inch exhaust 3inch split dump pipe Apexi pod filter(with alloy pod box) tube and fin intercooler kit(will be fitted soon) cushion button clutch kit(fitted next week) And im running a constant 9psi Im thinking of getting better spark plugs and a walbro fuel pump.Ofcoarse id like to get a power fc.But ive been looking at the apexi SAFC2. All input appreciated. CHEERS Dave

Check out kudos motorsports walbro pumps.Same flow rate as 040s but they are half the price.Wont find cheaper mate.

Picked up an alloy pod enclosure today.25% off!

OK done.Now running a constant 9psi.Would this be a safe boost level for stock intercooler.I have a tube and fin kit waiting in the garage to be fitted.Then ill go 11psi.But then i get into the rich and retard bracket dont i.What are you running on your setup?

I have read the whole 64 pages of the boost controller thread and i still have no idea.I dont want to blow anything up

I have just received my turbotech boost controller and wondering how to fit it. I know it goes between the wategate actuator and turbo but what does it look like and where is it? Anyone have any pics of install? I have a R33 gtst series 2. Also when i fit it will the two stage boost solinoid still function or do i have to bypass it somehow? CHEERS dave

Mine too.Im getting a clutch installed next week so ill get them to put some good oil in the box.

OK Guys here is an update, I have sent forms out to about 8 people now and im waiting to here back from you all.We need to get a resonable amount of people to send the forms and pay before the 22nd of dec.If by some chance you cannot do it by then,you will have to send the forms to James @ driving solutions completed via email.But still pay your money to Australian Racing Drivers Club which is on the form. I stress that we cant leave it to late so all forms must be sent in and paid by the end of this year.If you want you can call James directly and work something out with him.His number is 0404 888 525 tell him you are with the skylines car club. Weird i also have this problem.Mainly when taking off normally in first.Sounds like its coming from the middle rear of the car(diff).
