  1. Fork out some more coin for an ECU and tune before you fork out even more coin for another engine.
  2. Have you ruled out the crank trigger system?
  3. Yes. Im at 800hp and I have never had an issue.
  4. The bracket on the extinguisher should be sufficient, that is what I used. Screw paying $90 for a bracket to hold a $30 extinguisher.
  5. You wont have problems at that power level with them failing. Proven over 1000hp.
  6. Having no VCT will make it pretty laggy.
  7. That seems ridiculously laggy for the power output, GTRS especially. Did they say you had to address anything after the tune?
  8. Brackets are universal and normally come with the fire extinguisher.
  9. Speedfab in Smithfield. They do top work.
  10. Engine out, respray the engine bay, replace all rubbers and hoses, new bolts and washers with shiny ones, get plenum and cam/timing cover powdercoated, any metal components media blasted or re-plated. A decent job can be done for under $1000.
  11. You can run them on the tighter side.
  12. The blue 34GTR they have there at the moment is a real piece of work. Some clever engineering has gone into the turbo setup and even from lowish boost levels the results are very promising. Too bad I can't make it due to work
  13. Seems like a good result and certainly very cheap.
  14. Care to elaborate on the process? Where it was done, cost etc etc
  15. This is why you should ALWAYS measure any engine parts that need to be assembled to a tolerance. Even big name brand companies have flaws is their parts.
  16. Second point under Skill Master, shouldn't it be "Doesn't" rather than "Don't"? Sounds bogan to me saying it like that.
  17. Id leave it dude, anything you put on will be laggier than what you have now. IF you wanted to experiment, I would put ideas towards your dump pipe size and remove the 'restriction' in your cat
  18. Not surprised at all, the decline started in the mid 2000's with the GTR, Supra and Silvia being discontinued and with the arse dropping out of Japan's economy plus natural disasters people are more focused on other things. Proven with the collapse of big name aftermarket parts makers and tuning companies in the last 5 years. I was in Japan 2008 and 2009/10 and it was very evident then that the 'scene' wasn't what we were used to seeing in DVD's etc. I was lucky enough to experience some very cool things while I was there (car related) with chance meetings and some rides in some epic cars, it was a few months out from the GTR being released which gave a bit of a boost in confidence IMO. At the end of the day people just don't have the disposable income to throw on cars as they used to. The cars produced today are just not exciting to the car enthusiast and options are very limited compared to 10-15 years ago. A sad thing indeed and things are only going to get worse That said, Japan is a very beautiful country and the people are amazing. I would go back every year if I could
  19. So these "attacks" are being caused by someone? Or bugs/viruses? Combination of both? Can it be tracked or something? Not too clued up on this type of thing but if someone needs a gearboxing I'm sure it can be arranged, I have one on standby
