  1. ive had my 18's on for a good 6 months before it got done (which probably wouldnt have if something else didnt happen but wont go there) cops have driven next to me, behind me and drove right off... didnt have an issue.
  2. efforts from the other nite on new coilovers... surprised how well the 12's tucked in under the guards. will try get some better pics later on... still working the rear guards then gonna need a bit of bogging
  3. should look tough krishman, what are they?
  4. Yeah the tein HA's are pretty good, ive had 2 different sets since that post tho LOL (bit of a suspension whore ) Theyre really hard on dampers and spring rates are higher then most because the HA were meant for the jap market. Theyre basically exactly the same thing as Tein SS (Super Streets) with harder rates. Thats pretty much what ive got in mine now HKS Hipermax II D. Theyre a f**ken awesome coilover... thats all i gotta say. With the creaking etc, hks are known to give up earlier than most brand coilovers, theyre built tough but are more bias towards track side of things so street driving can kill them off. With that said, theyre by far the most predictable coilover ive driven on. Im in a bit of the same boat as you, my rear right is knocking and by the looks of things will be needing a rebuild soon, took it for a drive through hills last night and it seems to be working fine, just knocking. Might be pillow ball related though, haven't checked it out yet. Anyone know if the pedders guy does hks coilies?
  5. guards love it hahaha
  6. They will fit on a 33 easy as. i run 18x10 +9 on the front of mine... just need a slight guard roll. They will fit on the back no worries.
  7. oh and by the way, looking at the poll... first two options are too mainstream by the look of it. be different!! hahaha
  8. vs-xx if you can find em in sizes small enough. (im not bias or anything ) otherwise meshies. get em polished then get the cube slammed with a bit of camber... would look hot as on a black car.
  9. but thats not an aluminium bonnet... and mitchy... love that pic!
  10. you need one of these: http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/pdfs/person...r%20Vehicle.pdf and a phone call to one of these: http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/pdfs/person...d_engineers.pdf that should get you on the right track.
  11. R33 GTR front guards... any condition as long as theyre fixable, cheap. pm.
  12. ^ exactly the same afaik.
  13. Yeap. And just any carbon fibre isnt ok. It needs to be engineered no matter what. As mentioned before carbon fibre shatters and splinters on impact. Different types of mixtures and materials added change this but majority of the stuff you can get is china shit which isnt safety rated at all. I dont care what people on the phone say... obviously they aren't the ones doing the inspections so whatever they say means sweet f**k all, inspectors want engineers certificates, not word of mouth. And to add to that, when you do apply your car up for modification the same people you talk to send you a list of things that you need to engineer before you go for a final inspection. Theres no way around it...
  14. yeah fiberglass guards need to be engineered, in other words just checked that the eyebrow heights are correct... not a big deal but i hated the ones i got anyways so all good.
  15. ^^ Adrians a champ!! thanks a lot
  16. schweeeet i dont see a reason why not either but thought id better ask and be sure haha.
  17. schweeeeeeet. i got some tein ha's too, not leaking or nothing but good to know who does em
  18. add me to list, 35% on side windows, 20% rear windshield (if that can be done) pm details, can do payment on 25th. Cheers!
  19. punched cat $20
  20. Damn Dave that sucks big time!! cant believe its popped so early after a rebuild.
  21. I just went through again, got a double defect. They weren't overly picky but did get done for some things which ive been through with every time before... by the SAME inspector. hahaha But then again, this time my car looked like an absolute "p i g" (why does it keep changing "p i g" to cop? damn you moderators and admins!!! ) (primer, stencils sprayed all over the car, fiberglass guards, bolt on flares, holes in body pop riveted closed) so i dont blame them for being extra picky and careful about the defect. In the end I got through the next day, had to do an overnight diff change over, take my fiberglass guards off (been through before and passed...) and some really minor things like reverse lights and guage. As long as youre friendly, honest and dont have obvious shit on there then you should be fine. And for the record, everything on the car can be engineered, all thats involved is effort, time and money.
