  4. as i mentioned in an email to flick, SAU dyno day comming up is a great place to get everyone together for some photos, by the looks of it we will have at least one of each model... hopefully an r35 too lol.
  5. ^ haha im the opposite! was taught to weld on arc, mig is a pain in the ass... need to get one and start practicing a bit more tho as arc is getting a bit old school now.
  6. seen the one for sale in SA up close and personal! very neat car, looks tough as. the owner said it was a breeze getting it through as a personal import, because he lives out of town he just had someone come down and quickly look over it before getting it registered.
  7. ^ and a sled
  8. sent a couple
  9. the cbr 250r was my daily rain or shine up until i got the skyline, the liner has been doing daily duties for past 8 months tho. just cbf riding a bike, way too small for me.
  10. No worries, good luck with it!
  11. as mentioned for what you got that's quite low! last dyno tune i had pod filter hybrid fmic 3.5" greddy catback 12psi stock everything else 173kw / 231hp at the wheels now running a 3" jjr split dump + high flow cat, new coilpacks and same boost... feels way better then before, getting it dynoed on 15th and hoping around the 195kw / 260hp mark
  12. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14146 bought tonnes of crap off them
  13. cant wait for MW2... pre ordered it still play cod4 every now and again when i can be bothered owning noobs on internode
  14. proper way: buy rear gtr quarters from nissan or someone wrecking one - its a cut and weld job... meaning cutting out your ones and welding in new ones. tail lights - swap over rear bar - swap over side skirts - swap over but also need front guards to fit properly boot lid i think is fine but not 100% sure cheap way: buy fiberglass quarters, rivet and bog them in if you do it the right way, the finish will be great and will definitely last you longer than the cheap way as fiberglass quarters are notorious for cracking due to body flex which means you will be repairing them forever.
  15. as mentioned, paint match.
  16. mallala is all we got left in SA its ok, not so much a challenging track but its got an even balance of straights and twisties. Been only a few times, but aiming to go as often as i can, really want to get involved in motor sport more. In the end tho as fun as it is... its nothing spectacular. tbh, driving through hills can be more exciting... which Adelaide has plenty of and they wander why there is a rise in hoons and hoon like behavior on the roads
  17. we'll see whos gonna be laughing when you're caught in heavy rainfall and have to reverse out of a long technically challenging driveway one day... ONE DAY!!!
  18. Simple, I had the same problem with my manual conversion. Basically the wiring loom that goes back to the computer is different between auto and manual. You will need to get yourself an automatic transmission loom, plug it in to the fuse box harnesses and then re-wire it to make it work with the manual transmission. Otherwise these things will not be working: Speedo Power Steering Hicas Oil Pressure gauge in cluster Turbo Pressure gauge in cluster I learned the hard way after taking it in and out of workshops for two weeks. There is some information in this thread on how to wire it up, but my understanding is that its not exactly the same with the r33 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Di...05#entry2606505 If you cant work it out yourself, give my mechanic a call, hes the one who sorted mine out. Im sure he will be able to tell you how its done. Turbo Tune 959 South Rd Melrose Park SA 5039 (08) 8297 1030 Ask for Mark
  19. Heya, very nice! Im looking in to getting a bolt in half cage (want it street rego'd in SA) soon and am really interested in the process. I know that there is significant difference in bolt in/weld in but still good to know. Is there a possibility of including how many hours work each step of the process takes? Keep us updated
  20. yeah was just talking to my brother about this, might just do that. hopefully the car will be off defect before sat tho.
  21. not sure if ill be making this anymore. car is defected but might be able to get it on cop shop pass before regency.
  22. heard about this from a mate who had his car booked in on monday, that sucks guys... will keep my eyes out. few of the things on the list tho... desperate much? cmon, a jar of fkn coins and alcohol??
  23. Can they jump on and clear things up for us? haha... Calling up transport SA is fairly useless and most cops are misinformed with these things.
  24. +1 x4 (one for every family member )
