  1. Haha see the reason i asked was because i just had my car converted from auto to manual and the automatic cluster reads only half the speed. pretty much exact same problem but different. I have heard that there is a way to re-calibrate it from the back of the cluster but I'm unsure on how this is done, should probably search it up im sure its been covered at some point. One thing you can try is unplugging the cluster, starting the car, then plugging it back in while its running. This seemed to do the trick with my old tx3 turbo, but i cant guarantee anything.
  2. yeah dude... its like painting anything, they come with a clear flat resin finish, sand it back and make sure its flat (sometimes you dont notice some parts due to carbon fiber texture), primer, paint. done.
  3. bare in mind, if its a type of car that someone knows is worth a lot, they're most likely going to put it on a truck or something then be stupid enough to drive it around in which case all they would need is 4 of these and its gone.
  4. sweet, cheers Luke!
  5. quick question, dump pipes allowed? mate just went through with his 3" dump pipe and cat on, but with a factory system from the cat??
  6. let us know how it goes and good luck
  7. rbt/drug test on the side of the road in front of my house... he was staring as i pulled in to my driveway and got out haha.
  8. pwned 20 metres from my house. boost controller, left it in from saturday track day wheel spacers on front not worried about getting through regency, pretty sure it will pass anyways, but i just got a manual conversion done and its still registered as auto... what should i do in regards to this or should i just take it through as it is?
  9. heres the link for the pics that turned out ok http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y33/kfsRu...ala%2001-08-09/ sponsored by fully sick gangster lean bahaha
  10. i hate you and your traction. thats all.
  11. haha no worries mate, you guys seemed very busy most of the day. Uploading some of the pics i got from the day right now. oh and thanks for the pics andrew!! they look great, any more?
  12. as far as im aware he was running around 1:17 most of the day, and i think he may have recorded a 1:15 near the end, not sure... gonna have to wait till he checks in but yeah... it absolutely flew.
  13. Well what a great day it turned out to be!! The weather was fantastic for the track overall, glad I didn't call it off after a few showers early in the morning. Took a little bit of time adjusting to the track in manual (last time i took it, it was auto) but got it down after a couple sessions. And im well impressed how tyre pressures affect the way the car felt! Big thanks to Andrew for lending me the tyre pressure gauge a few times, 36/38 hot seemed to do the trick in the end. Was hoping to get my lap times around 1:32 this time round from 1:35/36 I was getting last time out. Then my brother came back to the pits and informed me i was doing between 1:30 and 1:31 throughout 3rd and 4th session, and recording a best of 1:29.89 in the 4th. Fairly stoked with that on street tyres and approx 190rwkw (will confirm on 15th ) Only downside was that ill be chasing after some new rear tyres as it was a bitch trying to keep em from spinning out of turns. Got a bunch of pics and some vids ill be posting later on when i go through em and pick the good ones.
  14. i see, last time i ran 36/38 and felt like a bit too much... that was on 16s with 205/55 tho. will go for higher psi and let some off during the day till it feels right i guess, cheers! time for bed and early morning then
  15. New oil and air filter are in, new pod, new plugs, topped up brake and steering fluids, checked brake pads and under body for leaks. Gotta do tyre pressures tomorrow before i head out. What air pressures should I be running on 18's? 225/40 front 245/45 rear. Was thinking around 30-32 front 32-34 rear?
  16. justjap.com heard some people having problem with fittings in the past but mostly theyve been ok. http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...at=0&page=1 http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...at=0&page=1 also autobarn sells some for $470, the one at mile end. theyre some jap brand afaik
  17. also depends on what offset hes running. mine are 18x9 +35 on front with 225/40's stretched over.. the rim sits flush with the guard and the tyre goes under with no problems
  18. wouldnt want anyone with long hair sitting in the back seats haha.
  19. spotted someones orange 33 at turbo tune this morning waiting for some lovin... then sent em an mms teaser
  20. nissan states 55 when mine gets to fuel light it takes around 45-47
  21. shotgun next haha if youre still keen, i was after only a bit of flare on mine if you get em rolled... nothing serious coz the 33's have the stupid flat body line over the wheel arch opening and i dont want it to look too out of place coz of that.
  22. yes, ive been looking at making one for a while now, just havent had the time. youll need thin alloy or tin sheet (bunnings), tin snips, a drill and drill bits, pop rivets, and a pop rivet tool. cut and bend the sheet to size, mark and cut out holes around the edges, place it up against the bumper, mark the holes over on to it, drill holes in bumper, then pop rivet the two together. done
  23. Japanese newspaper under the passenger seat coming out of the carpet. There was a story floating around not long ago about some guy who brought in a vip'd merc, had it for a while and decided to retrim the interior, lifted the carpet to find a katana hidden up against the drivers side door sills.
  24. Im 6'6" and fit in my r33... just. Quick steering is a bit of a problem cause of the knees but if you adjust the seat right (drop the bottom part as low as it goes, tighten up side supports and lean back a bit) you wont have too much drama. I would recommend an aftermarket seat with lower modified rails so the seat slides back a bit more, oh and a dished steering wheel to clear them knees, but only if hes after an older one with no airbag coz otherwise youre stuck with the stock item.
  25. +1 if that's all you're buying the car for then... fail. ive had mine blocked off for a while now, doesn't make high pitched noises, just a clean whoosh sorta flutter. reason why i have it is that i noticed through hills/track, when changing gears it holds more pressure in the pipe and you get faster spool in to next gear but only high up in the revs as the air gets trapped and not released straight away. lots of people say different things, this is just form personal experience.
