  1. want to borrow a guard roller for a day or two if anyone has one lying around... the car is not going anywhere till Monday so thought id get some work done on it while i can
  2. Turbo Tune on South Rd. They've been more than helpful throughout the whole thing, did great work, just that Nissan plugs and looms don't match up as much as I was hoping and they're quite busy with other customers cars which is understandable.
  3. Still using the auto cluster, thanks for the advice though, will look in to changing it over. And ive been back to the workshop, it turns out that the conversion i brought did not include the manual gearbox loom for the computer which reads the speedo and other things... So i bought one, dropped it back in and surprise surprise, its not a straight swap over, the plug for the oil pressure sensor, speedo, power steering and reverse lights is different to the automatic one where these are spread out over 3 different plugs. Been told to come back in on monday and that they will re-wire it all but don't think i can wait till then How was your manual plugged in to run properly Eric? do you still remember or have the car?
  4. yeah thats where it came from. lol they told me to come back Monday but im a bit eager to get it up and running before then.
  5. Hi guys, Just had my manual conversion done on the r33. It works fine however when converting from r33 auto gearbox loom to manual one, few of the plugs are different and need to be re-wired because otherwise my oil pressure sensor, speedo, hicas/power steering and reverse lights dont work. Has anyone on here done the conversion successfully and is able to show me what they've done with the wiring loom or if i can come past and have a look? Kind of want to get this fixed up asap so i can drive the damn thing properly
  6. ahh no worries. will go back to turbo tune tomorrow and get them to quickly check it out.
  7. ok just took the car for another drive and a big no, the speedometer doesnt work. could have sworn it was working on the drive home. Basicaly what is happening, turn the car on, all is fine, take off, speedometer doesnt work but otherwise ok. 2min later i loose power steering, than another minute or so later the hicas light comes on. There is no more dash illumination lights flickering but i think i have worked it out, i think it might have something to do with the speedo disconnecting itself on the drive home as im almost 100% positive it was working. So in turn im assuming the speedo has something to do with hicas and power steering cut out?
  8. im talking about the illumination lights on the dashboard. the car is still using the standard auto ecu. have been told by a few places that this shouldn't be an issue.
  9. yeah the dash cluster itself is fully operational, speedo, tacho etc all work... jsut the back lights flicker on and off randomly, as i slow down and stop, they turn back on like normal but hicas light still stays on.
  10. no alarm. club lock, 2 dogs, angy wog dad and 60 cousins on speed dial. na but seriously, its getting the alarm put in on thursday... until then i wanna get this issue sorted.
  11. Hi guys, Just had my manual conversion done by the guys at Turbo Tune here in Adelaide, they did a great job on it and the changeover was really quick. However on my drive back home i noticed that my hicas light suddenly came on and my whole dash started flickering? At this point I no longer had power steering but still drove fine. Got home, turned the car off, went to empty the boot with all the automatic bits n pieces, turned it back on and all is fine, haven't taken it for a drive yet though, just worried as to whats going on? Ill give them a call back tomorrow and see if they can sort it out but would like to know if anyone has any idea as to why this is happening?
  12. they usualy sell around $1500 - $1800 in saying that though i picked up all these: s2 90,000kms box with nismo short shifter 1,000km old exceedy heavy duty clutch new flywheel and other bits to convert to manual (tailshaft, pedals, clutch master & slave) for $1,500 so you can get a bargain if you look around... i got mine from a dude that was wrecking his 97 s2 locally.
  13. i just did mine, picked it up 2hrs ago. love it to bits. in the end the whole conversion cost me $2k installed... hoping to get some money back from selling all the bits.
  14. yeah im going for yellow jackets this coming week too. the car is in the workshop on monday for a manual conversion and would finally like to crank the boost past 7psi without bloody missfire. cant wait to take it for a spin at mallala raceway again
  15. id be changing the stock one on the r33 at around 200 rwkw... probably not at its peak still but if youre planing on going over than definitely the first thing to do. Injectors at 250, theyd be at their 95%. the latter pump should accommodate 300 rwkw without much trouble.
  16. or this i cant make my mind up btw, love this thing as ghetto as it is moar here, check the site out too... awesome! http://noriyaro.com/?p=3447
  17. Yeah man... go to your local auto electrician and get him to do it for you, fairly simple, just snip off the tail light wire that goes to the light you don't want on. Depending on laws in your state tho, it might be illegal or defectable to do so. I know in SA you need em all lit up.
  18. best looking s1 ive seen yet. i got the same bumper and skirts to go on mine, black rims but too bad my car is in the ghay wine red most s1's came in... just needs a gtr style front grille and done. clean, simple and bloody tough as!
  19. you will need a slight guard roll and flare on the back but would look tough as!!
  20. wow that definitely sucks balls!
  21. cant believe this hasn't sold yet guess people cant appreciate a car these days without gay chromies, shitty fitting body kits and cheap paint jobs.
  22. I'd say its mostly because r34 gtr is a bit of a cult car... and was the last of the true skyline series.
  23. genuine coilpacks are great when new, better than splitfires or any others... but theyre also $1200 from nissan.
  24. LOL... the front bar is not tooo bad, better than most aftermarket kits available, the rest of the car is a bit of a fail tho... and that video is SUPER MEGA FAIL. haha
  25. i pay for all my stuff in cash... why not? people always give everything cheaper this way plus i know i worked hard for something paying cash instead of getting a loan or something like that. anyways, i hardly think this is the best looking r33... interior and rims are just wrong, body kit isn't too far either. but the car itself seems fairly straight. depends what you like... i myself like clean body lines and tasteful rims/interiors and that car certainly doesn't do it for me.
