  1. Got my slotted RDA rotors and qfm a1rm pads in finally!! Bedding in was sketchy but after a good 30min drive, then going for the brakes hard again MASSIVE difference... im afraid to push it past half way, it just locks up regardless of speed. Gonna take a bit of getting used to for smooth quick braking but daaaammmnnn!!! Highly recommended. Steel braded lines + master cyl stopper are next up then braking setup is finished. Oh btw, since its track talk here, anyone know where I can get a decent cross bar for the r33? Its the bar that goes behind front seats used to bolt up the racing harnesses on to.. http://features.evolutionm.net/article.php?id=55
  2. holy batman! off topic but, anything like this available for 32-33-34 skylines? Looks awesome on the r35! Bet it does wanders too
  3. Ah cheers Krishy!
  4. I was under the impression nissan had to order from japan (3 week wait)? Ill give them a go first thing tomorrow morning I'm just getting kinda desperate... haha, out of the 6 places i called 4 are VERY reputable yet no gasket love btw, the silicone i was reffering to is proper gasket seal type.. not Bunnings tile silicone lol.
  5. Need help with something, I got a dump pipe for my car, want to put it on asap however ive called a few tuning shops near my place and no one has brand new turbo dump pipe gaskets?? Should i worry about it or just use plenty of silicone and re-use my old one? Im thinking with my new engine build it only needs to be temporary for a few months till its ready to be swapped over anyways. Thoughts? Btw, its the jjr cheapo one, was saving for an am performance one but this came up at the right price. Ill be using a gt30 with my rb25/30 anyways in a few months so ill get one made up by them when its all done.
  6. oh whoops, lucky i checked... I edited wrong, wanted "SkyHi_33" thanks
  7. Hi, sorry to be a pain but i no longer own my tx3 (havent for over a year) and its kinda stupid to have the username of my old plates. So is there a possibility of changing it to "SkyHi_ECR33" pleeeeeaasee
  8. Heya Kahli, Marko here... might be there, depends if the car is fixed by then.
  9. if you read through a few pages back i mentioned what was legal which came straight out of the inspectors mouth. sheet metal bit is the part of your car that has been cut. However, if the cut was made too low and in to the actual chassis (aka. backyard ghetto job) then your car will be blacklisted, never to be registered again until you get an engineers certificate stating it has been fixed properly. just take a look in to the engine bay under the washer bottle and see if the pipe is coming through the hole above the flat part of the chassis rail.
  10. +1 Especially on tight courses or hill climbs. My mates dad gets 36.8sec up Collingrove Hill Climb in a dead stock new clio with better suspension. Guys in Porches cant usually match that. But the guy has had years of experience on the same track so i guess "experience > money" counts too!
  11. 25/30, if you do most of the work and do it right (forged pistons) you should be able to have a running motor for around 3k. If you are using fresh stock internals than a bit cheaper than that. (apparently they are good for 600rwhp) but rb30's have balancing issues so you would wanna get a decent harmonic balancer after you've balanced the whole block. Im doing the exact thing at the moment.
  12. again nothing, sorry however i did find out that with 34 GTR's my last recorded vin is BNR34 - 402137 and anything bigger than that number is not on there. that vin shows manufacture in July 2001 so i'm guessing the version i have has not been updated since... Not sure what those numbers are, check your vin number and it should read something like 6U9000ECR33012345, what i need to do check it is this part of the vin 6U9000ECR33012345 check it out and let me know what it is, ill check it out asap
  13. Anyone heard of "Yellow Jackets"? anyone using them? They're at $350 on ebay, never seen em elsewhere...
  14. Ive had my car for 5 months now, bought it dead stock in shit condition. Paint is bad, shocks were dead, brakes were horrible, interior was dirty and had dog hair everywhere, had horrible wheels & tyres on it and it is AUTO. However, the body was straight apart from a couple lil dents and mechanically great. Reason I bought it, was a tad over 5k and a perfect track car project. So in the last 5 months I've pretty much replaced everything that was wrong with it with performance parts and then some! Wont go in to detail (cos there's a shitload of things) but got it to handle and brake the way I want to and all that's left now is some power and am waiting for some time to install my M-Spec front bar + side skirts, then respray the whole car. The rest of time I've spent detailing every part of it till it was clean and shiny again. Now, I didn't like the r33's much at all, however after countless days and nights I've spent doing pretty much 95% of the work myself, I could not love it more!!! I honestly cant wait till i have to wake up in 4 hours, feeling like shit thinking "why the f**k do i have to go to uni again", yet when I sit back and flick the key every morning it makes the pain go away. Ive heard of people going "Oh I really cant wait to drive my car again.." many times before owning the 33 and always thought why? I mean I've had a few cars myself and drove quite a few imports before, heck i spent more money on my old tx3 turbo maintaining it and keeping it in factory floor condition than what it was worth (this thing had books and every receipt for everything ever done) yet I never felt the same connection... until just recently I've been getting the feeling with my r33. Its getting to a point that it makes me sad when I know I cant take it for a drive and ruins my day. Next step is rb25/30 motor build + some other goodies and a manual conversion in preparation for track... cant wait!!
  15. not coming up on mine, sorry
  16. received mine Friday afternoon! thanks a lot, cant wait to test these out with my new pads
  17. there's another come and try in September if i recall correctly
  18. Tell us how the car feels after. That's my next suspension mod front n back sway bars + rear strut brace... than i just gotta replace some bushes with nolathane ones and I'm set.
  19. and the dealer is expecting you to pay 8k for that rubbish motor? ultimate povo pack from nissan back in the day. i remember seeing an r32 povo pack ca18de go for 3k some time ago.
  20. have a mate with a ute? van? put it on a pallet and hire out a trailer or something? just make sure the block is tied well to the pallet. there's probably 101 ways of doing this haha.. its not like you're trying to transport a house.
  21. find out if they use the same boss kit for aftermarket steering wheels, if they do than the factory steering wheel should be interchangeable
  22. 3 or 3.5" high flow catalytic converter... pm me with what you got
  23. holy smokes! thats is one ridiculous figure for Chinese turbo id say! is it still going hard or what? can you pm me about the turbo and the setup you have, im very interested as im currently building a track car myself but am on a tight budget.
