  12. Hi guys, I've recently purchased an inter cooler kit however the new crossover intake pipe does not have a fitting for a vacuum line like the standard pipe does. Where can i plug the vacuum line in to that's gonna work? I'm not too keen on drilling and welding in another fitting after I've installed everything and cut shit to bits so it would all fit. I thought that it should work off any intake manifold line but am unsure so just checking in For those that have nfi what I'm on about I got photos. Second pic shows factory pipe with vac line... http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y33/kfsRule_2/boost1.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y33/kfsRule_2/boost2.jpg
  13. any pics?
  14. isn't the come & try day on the 14th march? for other events you need the cams license stuff n affiliation with a car club.
  15. lol
  16. its an easy way to bead tyres on to wide rims for the stretched look. what wasn't included in the video however is that once the burn is gone you have to quickly jump on to an air line and fill them with air as they suck back in and go off the rim in no time. have done it before...
  17. blitz rims are quite rare to find in aus... and those are very distinctive. i say break their shit!

  19. btw, were mod plates discussed at the meeting at all?
  20. and dont worry guys, you did a frigging great job! its just turning to specific things now which is something that needs to be discussed further with sapol etc... so fingers crossed neil joins up and we can have an open conversation about these things
  21. with coilovers, a few suspension companies have talked to regency about this and the outcome is regency doesn't like anything adjustable in the suspension as it increases the risk of something going wrong. although you can engineer coilovers at a set height and pass with them. so really you are not allowed to have them unless an engineer has approved them. (this costs a lot in SA close to $3000, other states around $500)
  22. ok so baffle plates are not the best solution then. Ive had a look and took a few measurements under the car and i don't have much room for another resonator. I could probably squeeze a smaller one in but i don't think that it will do any good. The said silencer, is it one of those cone shaped things with a pipe behind it that you shove in the muffler itself? example http://cgi.ebay.com.au/APEXi-Super-Silence...%3A1|240%3A1318
  23. that's what i was trying to get at... anyways it is getting a bit off topic now. probably best to leave this off until neil is around and get his opinion on it.
  24. This is a fair point and i agree 100% but after having 2 inspections done by regency and a visit to a few workshops in the process NO ONE spotted that my lower and upper control arms were damaged... I discovered this myself after replacing my own suspension. Have since parked the car while I gather funds for replacement parts. This is sort of thing that I was trying to get at. I know its not an easy thing to get around but i think that there should be clear guidelines of what makes certain things safe/unsafe which can be identifiable by individual officers. What was mentioned is a damn good start but i don't want the privilege of working on my own thing get in the way of actually enjoying the benefits.
