Haltech E11v2 Rb26 Throttle Pump Settings
tommis85 replied to tommis85's topic in General Maintenance
Adjusting the asynchronous pulses (injector pulses that happen after the main pulse has been fired) up and down as recommended on a Haltech video doesn't seem to help much so I believe my problem lies a bit deeper in these settings. Also, the Haltech default settings don't work at all for me which makes things a little confusing... -
Haltech E11v2 Rb26 Throttle Pump Settings
tommis85 replied to tommis85's topic in General Maintenance
The current settings seem to partially work because when the throttle is stabbed you do get SOME enrichment but only briefly. I think the enrichment may have to be drawn out a bit further? -
Hey peoples, Just seeing if anyone on here is clued up on the throttle pump settings (a.k.a transient throttle enrichment) settings in the E11v2 for my R33 GTR. I've attached a screenshot of the settings as they currently stand. (TPS is used only for throttle pump and decel cut and all the load sensing is done with the haltech map sensor.) My current problem is a distinct flat spot in acceleration whenever I put my foot down by say 1/4 or 1/3 or 1/2 of the throttle pedal's travel...sudden/fast WOT doesn't seem to be as badly affected and is responsive. I've adjusted the settings a little bit with noticeable improvements and also worse results....so, I put this out to you guys before I stuff something up ;-) While stabbing the throttle with an O2 sensor present it will first enrichen to AFR 10-11 or so, then it will very briefly lean out to AFR 15 to 17 (for maybe 1 second) and then it will revert to its fuel base map and dip back down to 11-12 for boosting / accerlation (and feel great ;-) ) For those in the know, what do you think of the current settings and do you know how I could get rid of this lean spiot inside the throttle pump settings? Also, if any one could upload a screenshot of their settings that would be hugely appreciated as I'm struggling to find much on this with just a normal googling. Thanks!

The Build Of The Beast

Yeh the most I've ever seen man was 504hp with -9's on E85. And then that went back down to around 450-470hp on pulp. -

Yeh I've just finished building mine...I'm aiming for the 330kw mark with my -9's. As soon as she's tuned up I want to be out on those tracks as often as I can hehe and yes, response is everything! 1500kg car, 2.6L engine...you need that thing to come on properly and soon! -

The closest I came to a build thread was a album on facebook -

Yeh that would be the page And yes, as for power levels everything under 500hp is safe for street use...so I've been told, but I personally will be capping mine at 450hp or so which seems to be the max for these -9 turbos anway. And that's also keeping track work in mind which I dare say you're pretty keen on? We've all probably heard of those who get away with 600hp on the stock motor...but I wouldn't push a 20 year old uncracked motor that far! You will be bragging for a couple days and then BOOM you will be nicely embarrassed haha The first thing that goes under higher power are the rod end bolts. (so I was sure to throw a set of those in as well) -

Nice video man - I'll have to put down a decent time myself! You wouldn't happen to be on that GTR Owners Club page? -9's for the win btw! I just finished building a motor for my set - they really are an awesome turbo! -

Oh very nice man! Yeh I'm lucky to get 70-80 degrees with mine...I think I need a thermostat lol. What did you get for yours? -
...to take down v12's with

Stroker next

Haha yeh all future builds will have a proper video diary! There're not enough of them. The biggest thing is remembering to take them at the right points lol and not skipping scenes
-
Haha quiet mr cubes
-
Yeh Jason I'm a bit devo that I didn't take a proper build video or something like that...always a next time round tho

I think what some other people do is jack the car up on all 4 so it's level, put the car in gear and then bleed the system as its rolling. I'll probably do that next time...would be even easier too if you can get someone to keep an eye on that reservoir while you stay under there bleeding away. Haha that is always the original reason and then it turns into a way of life champ -

Fun stuff hey? Most enjoyable indeed. However...I had to do mine too and all I did was jack the car up, turn motor on, and then just bled the fluid from the front and rear nipples for a couple seconds at a time while topping up the reservoir. Did that for a couple of minutes...every time the pressure drops too low while draining the pump will fire up automatically. Funnily enough that little white swich did nothing for me -
Brisbane basically...any of the high-rating shops there. Godzilla, East Coast Customs, GT-Auto...
-
Pretty much maxing the turbos out on pump fuel for now...you won't get much more that 470hp with them and maybe 510-520 with E85
-
450-470hp Smithers
-
It is quite the animal already haha - lets just say I'm glad the 4wd is hooked up Gonna try to get down your way this weekend to put it on the dyno...there's room for an extra 10-15deg advance in the mid range and both my cam gears are still at zero. When are you up this way next man?
-
Touche haha
-
Smartass lol...2wd or 4wd I've had it for 7-8 years
-
My bro cruises with more GTRs than I do....it just can't be right
-
Haha I just wanna go where the action is man....Lakeside, QR, and all those nice drives in the Hinterland and along the coast! And beach n bitches haha Went for a drive in Toowoomba the other day and the place was dead. Then went down to Withcott for a feed...only people from Gatton and Brisbane were interested. So yeh, this place is wasting my time and money - pretty much whipping a dead horse as far as I'm concerned. But anyway, the plan has always been to move when the car is finished and it's down now so it's game on!
-
But I see that the scene is still kicking along down your way Jas and I hope to still make the move this year
