Hey guys , its recently come to my attention that i need to sell my r34 , the misses has put the hard word on me. purely selling because we need a bigger family car . if i dont get the money i want for the 34 i wont sell because i know its a clean car and iv personally spent my time bettering the quality and condition of it. R34 GT-T , 1988 .   5. taping up a finish line from the chrome to black would be a major pain in the ass , probably better off to go with a full colour , gloss probably. gold or back for a white car
  6. what are your plans , painting the whole car? what colour ? are you going for a satin finish only ? most car filler from the paint shop should do , rough up the surface thoroughly when you fill dents also im sure there is a diy or previous thread going round in regards to remove glass.
  7. seeing as the r34 has some terrible form of paint which goes all sticky over time , i thought it was time to give it a fresh look . trying to follow that milenium jade colour . pretty satisified with the results , it definitly makes the interior feel a lot more modern and refreshed. some inspiration for you guys to try yourself, cheers

  11. i must say it requires a fair bit of work in regards to cutting to get that high gloss finish . usually rub back from 1500 - 2000, then use a cutting compound. iv used this septone stuff i purchased from the car paint place, followed by a polish compound ,then some other detailing polish. all depends what your doing , but thats my process for body work , seams to work for me. by the way in saying that , its a must you use a power dril or a variable speed grinder with buffing wheel / foam pad attatched to really get that gloss to shine , using some cheap buffing wheel from kmart wont be sufficient enough.
  12. hehe poor you by the sounds of it. definitly hate drying process, i try to be a perfectionist at times , but damn sometimes i just want it done and back on the car, i sprayed my rear bar on a sunny day ,then bang raining! heres me out in the garage still spraying lol. only crap thing is it goes milky in the cold , never the less all goes away when you cut it bck thanks for the positives guys , much appreciated

Arthur T3 - it was a pretty sunny day yesteday when i sprayed them, being acrylic it dries pretty quick too. but what i did was after id spray the clear , i gave it 15 . then rolled it back to the car , carefully put it back on . put the bolts on carefully , pretty easy considering they are a pretty wide hole . then just left them over night to dry completely . saves a bit of time so i can get the next wheel, off to prep. i was keen to get them done before the sun went down cheers
  15. 2 weeks ago i purchased my 350z anniversary wheels , although they were just a little to plain for me in the standard alloy colour . so today i thought id pull out the spray gun and give them a more stealthy aggressive look. the paint i used was the factory black r34 GV1 from memory .much to my suprise they came out better then i expected , totally give the car a different look. for anybody at home looking to do something similar, the process was pretty simple . 1. rough up existing paint with 400 gritt 2. clean with thinners 3. spray a dust coat with the base paint.followed by 3 firm coats 4.2-3 coats of clear 5. maybe even a bit of a cut and polish depending how fussy you are overall the end result was worth the time , took about 1 hr per wheel , off and back on again. ill throw a final pick up tomorrow , bit too dark by the time i got inside cheers , and comments or questions hit me up
  16. i know of the plazman , its probably the best and most popular going around so iv seen, and no ghetto here lol , i was just curious if anyone else had done it as a cheap cost effective way
  17. thanks for your reply i know in general there isnt any hp gain with this mod as iv read over and over , mainly just throttle responce. at the end of the day itd be good to have an engine without the cross over arm , thus making the car much neater and more easier to get around when working on it. shorter pipe work will be beneficial , besides i dont really want that huge amount of pipe running around over the fan and down to the intercooler like most cheap intercooler kits. my main question of doing this was , if no body recons you get any more hp out of it , why bother buying somethng over $800+ to cut out 1 meter of pipe , i mean thats all it does , maybe increase flow ? no one ever notes how much more powerful their car has become of it ?

  19. hey guys , after doing a bit of extensive reading lately on the forums about the rb25 neo engine and the thought of installing an aftermarket plenum , iv come to the idea of having the standard plenum modified to face forward . i was wondering what everyones opinions of this are ? as iv been reading there is a fair bit of modification needed , ie : custom aac valve plate , different 0 rings , a fair bit of movement as far as hoses go etc , TCS is in the way - would this be easy to remove without effecting anything ?. also on top of all this i had read one member stated that even with all this done , the car didnt run any good and he ended up returning it back to the standard setup. now in saying this does anyone body know of , or recommend anybody in sydney to perform this? will the car run accordingly if this modification is carried out correctly? and finally what would this cost if anyone else has had this done? any info would be greatly appreciated
  20. 1. Fitting of a bodykit + paint for $1300 is quite reasonable in comparison to what some people charge these days 2. Why would you let some random off sau do it for you without seeing any of his work , or having any idea what his skills are ? unfortunate that it didnt come out well. i remember seeing a guy put up a post the other day about how he was 'doing some work to his r33s body kit' . stating how he had cut it up in multiple places, pretty sure it was a veilside . looked pathetic , how come his topic has been deleted? 3. at the end of the day you really wont get anything back from him , definitly should of went somewhere where you know you cant point faults and have them fixed as part of an agreement etc...
  21. hey guys , i just installed a safc2 into my r34 . now iv set it to the following :any corrections if its wrong ? car type: cyl: 6, RISING (diag right arrow) sens. type: HOTWIRE and then IN OUT both set to (1 1). Leave sens-cal to: 1 1 for IN and OUT can anybody recomend a brief setting without getting it tuned asap , following mods are exhaust , pod , boost @9 pi
