  1. ppl want to winge n wine if hooning goes on public roads but we r running out of places to go with oran park closing (for drifters more than any one) if some one lives close to the air strip ,go knock on the door n ask who owns it
  2. if the gas has leaked out u can add more nitrogen not air but if the gas leaked out before it will probally leak agian if so u will need to get a rebuild
  3. most spherical bearings used in shocks have a teflon liner i have replaced a few a normal spherical bearing with out the liner or bush will cost aprox 25 a teflon lined or bushed spherical bearing will cost around 90- 140 teflon bushed have a much higher load rating u may need a special tool to remove the bearing from the shock top i had problems finding the exact size i needed , had to mod/machine the tein top i got my last lot from SES linear bearings , milperra, 9792 7188
  4. try locking the 2 top rings together put the bottom of the shock where it bolts to the hub into a vice ( using soft jaws ) using c spanners on the rings locked together to turn the whole shock hope it helps
  5. r32 drift n track car only current drift set up front right - 1.6 deg front left- 1.6 deg caster +10 deg front total toe 4mm rear right -.5 left -.5 total toe 0 corner weighted 51/49 % front to rear 1259 kg with driver n half a tank need more front camber but i want to see how it handled before i modded the front end will go to around 3.0 n see how it feels for circuit i would run a little more rear toe n rear camber + shock, spring n bar changes i woud be keen to c what other drifters r running and why is no one eles posting caster caster is your friend
  6. XD9s not to heavy. i have alot of wheels and they r one of the lighter ones they were for my s15 n thew them on the 32 for the last day out i cant rember the offsets 17x8.5 or 9 sorry to many wheels , 17x9 advan bf hand cut slick front got a bargin , best i can afford at the time on the rear most of them r second hand (bite me i get them cheap) you can never have to much front grip when drifting nothing worse than undsteer imo the best thing to do is get super long wheel studs 76 mm n spacers 5, 10 , 25 mm doing this u can give any wheel the offset u want with spacer combos give your car more width , it will make it more stable n not prone to snap oversteer as u get better u will have to get more grip (bigger or better tyre ) at the rear or u will not be able to keep going faster
  7. i usually go in between spot welds as it is already welded on that spot as the name sugests. it does make a difference but u wont notice much if the rest of your set up is lacking if u do go to the effort then another thing u can do is around the door jams with a spot welder new spot welds in between the factory ones
  8. ok i could write a whole page of dos and donts but short answers r 1 done 8 full cars and bits on i dont know how many cars .best trick is prep clean the surfaces back to bare metal then clean some more seam sealer between the pannels is your worst enemy you will only get flex if u heat the area to much 2 just the towers u say, if u do all the stripping n some prep around 350 if they have to strip ,prep, weld, seal, paint, around 1300 3 i would not use a tig i would use a mig some reasons are speed mig is much faster, n trying to tig upside down under the car is not easy and it is easier to get the mig into tight places tig is good for small jobs un less u have a fark off watercooled tig 4 heaps of othe problems if the prep is bad, fires ,chocking on smoke clouds , burns from boiling seam sealer splashing back at u good prep will make a big difference heres a few pics
