  1. i have used it and i know someone else from down (or up as the case may be) here that uses it. i havent noticed much change. worst case you get it tuned for E85 and run it on that tune all year round as some have commented their switch from E70-E85 made about 1 AFR difference (eg cruise of 15:1 became 16:1) where as if you are tuned on E85 and it changes to E70 it only gets richer.
  2. RB30 arp main studs here, no issues with the install.
  3. what im getting at is that a lot of surge tank setups are built with ample fuel supply from the surge tank to the engine. but when you stick it on a track that has long stretches of sustained WOT (without a large enough lift pump) you can run out of fuel in the surge tank itself and lose fuel pressure
  4. twin pumps feeding the surge tank and twin pumps out of the surge tank?
  5. if its more track than street you could fork out for the N1, i just threw a standard genuine Nissan RB26 pump on mine. have not had any issues in 20,000km with it.
  6. you do it to the exhaust side for a reason, the rotation of the crank aids drainage on that side.
  7. why did you sticky the thread? 560hp @ 15psi out of a T04Z? that sounds like a happy dyno.
  8. inlet cam or exhaust cam cover? i think thats a bad idea
  9. bolt to it? yes plug into a series 2 loom? no.
  10. its 2 years old who cares?
  11. proengines can do you a short block built up with adaptor plate and oil pump pickup to suit. you dont need to o-ring it, just use a MLS gasket (make sure both the head and block surfaces are machined flat)
  12. put an RB25 cam gear cover on it?
  13. he wont ever do it if troy does that.
  14. closed loop or open loop idle control? if its closed loop perhaps play with the deadband setting.
  15. km per tank is useless. L/100km or nothing also do a search its been covered many times.
  16. barely a drop in the catch can.
  17. it still physically runs ok but you have to put ~500ml or more of oil in it every 2 weeks.
  18. tunes ok and very conservative at load. if i had to put it down to anything i would probably put it down to machining tolerances possibly being a bit on the loose side (as its always been noisy) and that during initial tuning and run in it had to be run fairly rich to idle smoothly as the injectors were partially blocked.
  19. 4" mufflers to fit are going to be custom order, you wont get a car off the factory floor with a 4" exhaust. budget more like $1000 with twin custom size mufflers and you should be fine.
  20. from memory swiper/dirt/twoogle ran his car back to back and had 2kw difference.
  21. skylines aren't full time all wheel drive, the fronts only get power when the rears are slipping. a few guys have done the tests on the dyno and come up with only a couple of KW between 4wd and 2wd
  22. finally got the leakdown test done. Compression 150-160 on all cyls Leak down ~25% on all cyls @ ~100psi from the earlier test that suggested almost all the lost pressure was going past the rings and that leak down figure i take it the rings are gone?
  23. In the ECU software increase the values in this table a bit and it should increase the revs when the aircon is on. Idle Speed Control > Idle-Up Tables > Aircon Step You could also check the RPM lockout value (mine is set at 400, however i have never had aircon so dont know if this is high enough with it on) Idle Speed Control > Idle Speed Control > RPM Lockout
  24. are you going to put grommets in the holes on the suspension towers or leave them open?
  25. 4" exhausts are normally custom made not off the shelf. the more power you want the more $$ you need.
