  1. seeing as he doesnt have any ABS why not just go 90 degrees off the back of the turbo out the side of the front guard? the only other way to get one on a low car that comes to mind would be to get some 4" or 5" pipe and have it crushed to its an oval shape for extra ground clearance where it passes under the chasis rail. (assuming you dont want to cut and reinforce it)
  2. you can get off the shelf 3.5" exhausts. if you can weld you can make your own, i priced it up from an exhaust shop (this was for a cat back) This is for a 3.5" $95 for a donut (get 2 if you want to make front pipes as well) $39 per M for straight pipe $350 per custom dimension muffler, in my case 18*12*8 & 17*8*5. obviously an off the shelf size will be cheaper (eg 16*11*8) $18 per flange (includes gasket)
  3. the only problem with putty road is that its a 1000km round trip
  4. or going out to braddon to watch the cars?
  5. the difference is that small that you wouldnt notice the difference in response driving two identical cars bar the turbo change. i would have to agree with disco after looking at their results for the 0.82 housing that for these new wheels to get the max out of them the 1.06 housing needs to be used.
  6. appart from adjusting camber/toe/castor/etc you shouldnt need to fiddle much with the suspension on that thing, with someone that can steer the thing well its a weapon in the corners.
  7. that doesn't include a head or any head work. doesnt have an enlarged sump / oil cooler / larger radiator / big intercooler (600x300x100 / )new pipe work (exhaust, intake & intercooler) / etc 400+kw is a serious engine
  8. think more along the lines of 17-20. a 400-500kw engine isnt cheap.
  9. 8-9k wont get you an engine built to take a T51
  10. talk to dan at ERD (elite racing developments) he can sort you out with an entire package and is located in QLD. the other one you are thinking of bubba is ETM (extreme turbo manifolds) in wollongong.
  11. nice brakes on the front but what happened to the calipers?
  12. are you getting trent to do it? he should be familiar with what needs to be done. dont forget about costs to modify exhaust + intercooler piping etc. there are hidden costs to the 30 that you just dont think of until you run into them
  13. lose VCT? no you do not have to, you can run an external oil feed or do the internal mod (there is a thread in this section dedicated to it) GT3076 turbos come on hard around 2500-3000rpm expect similar though you may find its slightly on the small side for a 30 less boost and same power? possibly hard to say how different it will be untill its been done. i haven't seen a 2835 powered 30 before but take a look at AL's setup taking the advantage he has with manifolds/head work the response should be similar.
  14. shame on you troy, you can never have too much rubber. 275 should fit on 9" rims how close to the guards are they on the outside?
  15. 2630 with -5 turbos can look completely stock and put 400kw to the ground.
  16. it starts to become a restriction around the 300rwkw mark a 3540 is a 350-380kw turbo and should really use an aftermarket manifold. why the 25/30 if you have a GTR? why not use the RB26 head from it and use 2860-5 turbos instead?
  17. completely stock internals? balancer? cams? etc? 7000-7500. properly balanced built engine with aftermarket valve springs 8000-8500 any more than that and you really want to go with solid lifters and a serious setup with porting larger valves, better valve springs again. the list could go on to around 11,000 if you have deep enough pockets.
  18. they are as good as they are made out to be off boost and how they bring the turbo on a lot earlier. once on boost though if the turbo setup hasn't changed you wont notice much of a difference to top end power
  19. check out the videos on youtube of the high octane R34. it has -5 turbos and a 26/30. it also has different diff gears and other bits and pieces to help though so its not entirely an apples to apples comparison.
  20. depends what rear housing. expect 4500-5000 for the medium sized ones more if its larger.
  21. thick aftermarket radiator and oil cooler vipec is a fine ecu, just make sure what ever ecu you go with your tuner is familiar with them. if you get the full hks kit for the gtrs it should be a completely bolt on affair.
  22. gtr injectors are top feed and the wrong impedance for an RB25 they will not just bolt in.
  23. you dont need the new intake or exhaust manifold for a GTRS and it would just look silly high mounting such a small turbo.
  24. get a neo engine loom as well and just modify it to fit the 33 rather than taking a 33 loom and making it fit the 34 engine.
  25. just get a 6boost or ETM manifold as they dont have to be shipped from the USA, probably be cheaper too.
