  1. because everyone likes a happy customer.
  2. RB20 has a 78mm bore RB25/26/30 have an 86mm bore, the cost to modify the 20 head + the fact it has much smaller ports means it isnt worth the effort.
  3. The clutch pedal, no you dont need to keep it, but it can be useful for setting up launch control/flat shifting should your ecu support it. As far as the brake pedal goes i am not sure, i have never had a play with that one.
  4. The other option is ETM (Extreme Turbo Manifolds) very similar design to the 6boost ones except the head flange has the bolt holes to support both the 25 and 26 heads.
  5. i think you missed the point, he would be using the one motec ecu between 2 cars or buying another ecu for the daily, he hasnt said he was going to sell the motec.
  6. bump at doofs request.
  7. either throttle body will be fine, some like the way the bigger ones drive some preffer the smaller ones.
  8. another problem is going to be the size of the turbo. i havent seen any 3082 turbos pushing 400kw.
  9. catback is 3" because i havent gotten around to making a custom 3.5" one yet.
  10. you run the line into the side of the wastegate boost controler or not you also run the line into the top from your boost control solenoid if you have a boost controler
  11. at the moment i have a wastegate thats in pieces as the lines keep melting, a diff that single spins, a catch can setup thats not doing its job properly spraying oil all through the engine bay, and to top it all off the car is defected with no rego. other than that, sure id like to do a track day again
  12. thats where the wastegate sits, you can see the bottom of the manifold and the pipe that returns to the dump.
  13. i had the lines wrapped in fibreglass wrap, they go hard and brittle then start leaking pressure and the boost goes through the roof. as in braided teflon lines?
  14. My external wastegate is mounted under the turbo and the heat is destroying normal rubber/silicone vac lines (manifold and turbo are ceramic coated, dump and front pipes are fibreglass wrapped). What kind of hose do i need to be using to give them a chance against the heat? (wastegate is the synchronic 50mm so it has 3 pressure/vac lines)
  15. rb30 + GT35R = more than 350rwkw with full boost at 3500
  16. Auxiliary Outputs > Aux 3. - Aircon output to AC pump Digital Inputs > DI 4. - Aircon input to ecu they are the ones you need to look at for the aircon, my AC hasnt worked/been in the car for 3 years so i have never bothered playing with any of the settings for it.
  17. 6000-6500 on a completely stock bottom end (no extra balancing etc). run what ever boost it takes to make the power you want (keep the power sensible). its the massive increase in power/revs over stock that kill these engines not lifted heads etc from too much boost.
  18. i thought that car was running 26 head with a 25 block as they broke the 26 and had a spare 25 they werent using. or is that one of the other ones?
  19. you can get ones that mount under the car. perhaps PM Risking about one ( http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Risking-m20349.html )
  20. thats the setup i have except using the older 2J1 unit. With the R32 they use different o2 sensors and im not sure if the feed will work properly. (or was it only some of them that used the funky sensors?)
  21. you may find its cheaper to just get a set of spool rods (which come with ARP bolts like most) if you have to do any other prep work to them.
  22. your turbo is on full boost by then, they are just starting to spool.
  23. that 500cc makes nearly 1000rpm difference to spool. just sayin.
  24. so thats a 400kw turbo making 270kw. you also seem to have missed that it was a 3L not a 2.5L. just because it can be done, doesnt mean it should be.
  25. a GT60 turbo is capable of 2000hp, they dont even list a GT70 model.
