  1. just the tune left and you can enjoy all the work thats been put into it
  2. on the GCG website there are two different 3076 56trim models listed (for internal wastegate), one part number G700382-12 is the 100% standard off the shelf garrett unit, the other is this one G999999-5001 which doesnt have the anti surge slots, has a much smaller than 4" inlet, and looks to have a different compressor cover all together, then rather than garretts standard 5 bolt internal wastegate housings it has a custom turbine housing made to fit the stock skyline dump pipe design. the off the shelf garrett version might be a little more to buy and fit but you know exactly what you are getting and that if you want to turn it up later it will do 300-320RWKW
  3. interesting catch can design, is there any internal baffles?
  4. from the inside you just dont realise how much body roll it has PB for the day was 1:13.9 in the final session for the day (chasing Jon), i got 4 flat out laps behind you before the brakes and tyres cooked, just a slight brown pants moment after trying to brake for the first corner i also now need to replace/reshim the diff as it was single spinning out of most corners. hopefully i wasnt in anyones way too much in the early sessions, had waste gate issues giving me unlimited boost (couldnt drive over 4000rpm) and a vac line pop off the fuel pressure reg. the final solution still saw near 22psi @ full throttle, though its supposed to only make 15psi with that setting
  5. sounds good except the part where it says bolts up to the standard skyline dump pipe, which would indicate an aftermarket exhaust housing and not a genuine garret 0.82 housing.
  6. car is all loaded on the trailer, spare rims in the wagon, jack, tools, spare fluids, helmets, spark plugs. hopefully if we bring everything we wont need any of it
  7. is it coming down behind the stag or under its own power?
  8. the 0.82 is capable of 400kw, so an exra 50 over the 0.63 (which really doesnt have much left after 350kw)
  9. ~95, i am thinking of getting my car tuned on it next tune. as i have the WMI to deal with any downsides at higher load.
  10. whats the new setup looking to be? 4094r? imo the 35R does give reasonable street response on a 30, though if you are making it track only the extra lag isnt going to be much of a worry.
  11. try driving here first, you can no drive through a merge with any level of traffic faster than 20km/h, if you have more than one merge in a short space of time you get to go a massive 0km/h as it turns into stop start traffic thats magically clear the moment you pass the last merge.
  12. the o2 sensor should only effect light load usage, so the majority of wakefield doesnt use it anyway as its all on boost or on brakes, though expect the fuel econ on the way down to be a bit average.
  13. i think this was originally aimed at canberra, as thats where the GMC 400 was, and no one merges worse than we do.
  14. mine probably wont look that great, as it has been sitting in the drive way for the best part of 4-5 months and cleaning it in the canberra weather after work is in the too hard/cold basket
  15. didnt you just do that?
  16. the vipec should give pretty good boost control if they spend time getting it setup, you can make a pretty decent sized map to tell the solenoid what to do under what conditions, even make it use less boost in lower gears.
  17. clean it its got months of dried on dirt from sitting in the driveway.
  18. yea, they could hook you up with the fiddly bits and pieces.
  19. thats where it should be.
  20. could be the ECU pulling fuel out in closed loop and there is a cell thats not quite inline with the others and its a little lean, mine was doing this before, leans out going through/sitting on a particular cell and the ecu isnt fast enough to add fuel back in on closed loop and it splutters a bit as though its missing. once warm and out of warm up enrichment the problem went away. does it always happen at the same revs with similar load?
  21. CRD in the traders section http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ga...op-t246761.html GT3076R internal wastegate with actuator (various sizes available) Only $2065 or you can try GCG http://www.gcg.com.au/index.php?page=shop....t&Itemid=53 they are marginally cheaper (remember to ask for the large can actuator) as for lines, talk to pirtek or enzed they can make up some lines to fit, assuming its going on the stock manifold, you will need a spacer plate and some longer studs, but the workshop that is fitting it all up can sort these things out (i assume you are taking it to a workshop)
  22. that kit doesnt use a genuine garrett rear housing, they also crop the wheel down to make it fit resulting in a turbo that doesnt perform as well and has lots of boost control issues. stick to the geniune garrett options, they perform the best and give the best results.
  23. you will still need to have the dump modified with an IW, the bolt patterns are completely different. though any decent exhaust shop can do that for you. when you get the turbo, make sure you ask for the LARGE CAN ACTUATOR instead of the standard small one.
  24. internal will do the job and be cheaper, external is better but expect it to be more ~1500-2000 more expensive, as you need a few modifications for it to work. Injectors, i would go for the 740cc nismos, they are only marginally more than the 555 and will be enough even if you go a GT35. Keep to the 0.82 housing, its not a lag monster should start boosting around 2500-3000rpm.
