  1. if he gets in you will have someone to play with duncan
  2. depends how rich it is at cruise, what gear you cruise in, how hard you accelerate, how many trips are short distance.
  3. Dont need to bother with the ARP bolts if they are for the head, also dont need to worry about the head gasket unless something is wrong with the current one.
  4. you mean the triumph? thats british, so reece's car will just surrender if it trys anything, being french and all.
  5. most jap units come with plug and play looms, check that it doesnt have one of these before you go messing around cutting wires.
  6. My 33 with the 25 in it would get ~11L/100km with sensible driving, but the biggest factor is how you drive it.
  7. if you just want it to run, use the stock R33 ecu. then save up a little for the nistune + Z32 + install & tune.
  8. 2 seconds over a 2min + lap isnt that bad.
  9. i was always under the impression the race car was a GTR . Noel, i was trying to get at being able to use the power out of the corners, so the power is there from the get go giving a fairly linear delivery vs the turbo/s where you have to get past the lag before you get the grip testing power surge. most turbo setups i have seen give more torque in the higher revs vs supercharger setups where its bulk midrange grunt, though its a little different now i know their race car is RWD and not 4WD. the improvement i can see from the supercharger there is that it doesnt have as prominant a power surge as the charger is already spun up and just waiting for the throttle/s to be opened, which should act more like a bigger capacity NA helping the RWD keep traction as opposed to a similar HP rated turbo.
  10. ando, where did tonba say he was pulling out? i cant see any of his posts that say anything but showing up?
  11. The setup as it is on the street car should give a close indication to what it would do on the race car, with the expectation of a bit more power and more punch out of the corners from the 4wd, but i am not sure if it would give a better time around QR. from memory its a power friendly/fast track so the punch out of corners is less of an advantage compared to say wakefield and its slow tight corners where being able to put some power down early helps a lot.
  12. making it loud is just asking for police attention on the street. if its nice and quiet why not just leave it that way, get a bit of straight pipe made up for track days if you want some noise.
  13. 3.3L, thats huge, thats good for what 800+hp?
  14. he has an R32 DE head without VCT? or R33 DE head with VCT? if he has the R32 head, use the R32 loom and sensors etc and just retune the stock ECU.
  15. cheapest easiest solution is to install NISTUNE into a Z32 ecu, fix up the wiring differences and use that.
  16. no, the cars do not have to be road registered, there are noise limits though, but a turbo car should be able to pass them without any mufflers.
  17. i like the chaser with 2jz idea.
  18. my engine personally has the arias 9.2-9.4:1 pistons in it, little noisy on start up but i havent had any issues otherwise with them.

  20. remember to overlay the race car on top to see turbo 30 torque vs super 25, im not expecting it to make more peak power than the race car but should be interesting low-mid range
  21. they dont have any trouble holding the heads down, the problem is stopping the block splitting in half and leaving the crank + pistons down the bottom and the head/cyls elsewhere.
  22. Weather report is in. Saturday - Fine. Min: -1 Max: 12
  23. see the bit where it says .006? that means that was the 6th or 7th run on the dyno.
  24. why not just buy a new system and retro fit a new muffler to the back end of it (16x11x6 is an off the shelf size that will take a lot of noise out) instead of a cannon if you are worried about it falling appart?
